Why did he need to murder Bastani? If he (Javadi) is applying for asylum he has nothing to fear from Bastani blabbing, does he? So I couldn't see any need to kill the 'loose end'. Also, how does Saul know Javadi is telling the truth about the parallel programme - might he not, just conceivably, have another agenda (such as, for example, obtaining asylum)?
Saul seems to be relatively lowly in the CIA now if he can be summoned in for interrogation. I've forgotten the precise details of his career trajectory - he retired, worked as a consultant, went back - but at one point I thought he was pretty high up. Does anyone remember - wasn't he at one time in the running for D G - but Carrie scuppered it - not quite sure how?
Um, I thought the social worker had a point. Asking Quinn to babysit just so that she didn't have to wait 10 mins for the nanny to arrive was not good judgment on Carrie's part. And now she comes to mention it, sleeping with a loaded gun next to her, hmmm. Does it matter that Dar was her source - Frannie does need protection at the moment?
