The wheel broke as it was rusty and dilapidated from what I could see.

I always imagine carol to be mid forties and Daryl to be mid thirties in the series.

KittyOShea · 09/03/2017 12:46

Definitely agree that Daryl and Carol should not become a sexual relationship. It's platonic love and friendship and all the better for that.

I didn't love this episode. I felt for Tara though. Her loyalty to Alexandria and her sense of obligation to Oceanside really clashing. A very difficult decision to make.

I hope Negan disposes of both Rosita and Sasha. I never really warmed to either of them and they are becoming beyond irritating at this stage.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 10/03/2017 00:17

I hope they don't kill Aaron. I know he's gay an' all but he's lovely. 😳

MiddleClassProblem · 10/03/2017 01:10

I don't think sexuality has bearing on death rather than if anyone else can come out.

But I do think he's getting an awful lot of beats at the mo and not sure where his character will go unless they kill off his bf and that gets him raging. I find him a bit meh at the mo.

So, can't sleep (work issues) and trying to take my mind off it by looking at mumsnet...

Thoughts on this episode:

The CGI deer - wtf!!
How did Michonne get out of the boot of the car?
Sorry, but I'm not convinced by the Rick and Michonne romance - maybe they don't have any chemistry but it just feels false to me
Parts of it are feeling a bit predictable - i.e. you knew something would happen with Rick & Michonne as she kept saying 'we should go back' and he didn't want to
The Tara and Judith scene felt a bit forced - it was obviously in there so she could verbalise her feelings about Oceanside (so we knew what she was thinking) without revealing it to anyone in the group
Why were the fairground zombies not skin and bone? Three years on I would have expected there to be less flesh on them
Rosita and Sasha are going to cause major problems for the group by going off and doing their own thing
Jadis and her crew with their weird way of talking Confused - but is that any different to Ezekiel having a kingdom and a tiger?!

Maybe I'm thinking too much about this Grin

Lilyloo456 · 10/03/2017 07:56

Chimi I completely agree! I was sat thinking the same about the zombies. And isn't rick at all bothered about Judith? I'm getting a bit bored of this now.

MiddleClassProblem · 10/03/2017 08:22

So weird, I was going to post about the zombies not being just skeletons and ask when they feed if that keeps the flesh there? You'd think if part of them could decompose then the rest could too.

He does seem to bugger off and leave Judith in the care of any old random a fair bit...

Chimichangaz · 10/03/2017 18:27

Yes Lily and Nigel!

Meant to say how he doesn't seem to care about Judith and Coral!!

Maybe he thinks they're safe so doesn't need to worry?

Upyourdaisy · 10/03/2017 18:43

I know he has to leave sometimes but he wasn't in any rush to get back to little Judith was he? I mean before the mid season break negan was at alexandria with her on his knee & then he gutted Spencer (same episode?) I wouldn't want to leave my baby for long considering negan can and does roll up there regularly!!!

TeamRick · 10/03/2017 22:42

After watching the preview of next week's episode on Talking Dead I'm really looking forward to it!
Carol kicking arse again at last!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 10/03/2017 23:12

Ooh found you - they can't kill Michonne, because then I'd have to change my NN... although I guess someone else could take on her sword...

I think the last episode was a bit lame. All cheesy romance. I agree that there's something not quite right about Rick and Mich together - I think it's seeing Mich all soppy and giggly, it just jars with me because I want her to be the cold hard ninja that she usually is.

Looks like Warrior Queen Carol is back next week, judging by the preview at the end of last week's ep. Did anyone else see it? Does it class as a spoiler if it's been shown on the preview and on adverts?

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 10/03/2017 23:13

Hah, X post with TeamRick Grin

MiddleClassProblem · 10/03/2017 23:57

We are cool to talk about preview imo as the main stuff isn't in it and it's just there to give you a feeling about the ep but actually it just gives us stuff to speculate about which is pretty much all we talk about Grin but it's not actual plot give away iyswim

TizzyDongue · 11/03/2017 06:13

Don't know about the flesh - though a zombie wouldn't be much use as a skeleton - without muscles they couldn't move. I will go take a course in zombie and return when I am A dr in zombiology (I'd like it noted that's pronounced zombie-ology, not zom-biology; zom biology sounds too much like vom biology, which sounds gross).

Figgygal · 11/03/2017 06:28

I've stuck with the show since the start and keep questioning why it's really trying my patience this year whole episodes on individuals, bad cgi though the walkers are still cool, those annoying junkyard people who seemingly don't know how to talk in the space of a few years.

I actually like negan and Jeffrey dean Morgan so it's not a problem there I don't know it is I just know I want it to be over

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 11/03/2017 08:54

If it's OK to talk about what was in the preview, then I can say that to whoever was asking whether Carol will find out about Glenn & Abe dying soon - the preview showed her asking Morgan "Is everyone OK?"

I reckon that's when she finds out the truth and goes full on warrior queen. Nobody fucks with Carol's people.

Beelands · 11/03/2017 09:01

But then she'll have to die. It's been really clear that this is it for her, she's only got one warrior queen episode left in her.

I reckon she goes out in a blaze of glory killing Negan, in a big battle scene hopefully.

I don't think Negan will die this season, he's too popular.

I'd be devastated if Carol died. Surely they wouldn't get rid of another fan favourite in the same season as Glenn and Abe.

But then if Carol does the whole 'single handed rescue with machine guns' trick again, it will just be a repeat of what she did with those cannibal people whos name escapes me.

MiddleClassProblem · 11/03/2017 09:57

I think the battle will be season finale or beginning of next season depending on what cliff hanger they have in mind. Was terminus first ep back? I think season finale was them all trapped in the container.

It wouldn't be a single handed effort with Carol this time though. not thought of her dying but I guess it really could happen. Someone big has to go in the battle and Sasha and twat will prob be already dead before that. Maybe Morgan? I find him a bit blah at the mo.

OP posts:
Upyourdaisy · 11/03/2017 10:02

MichonnesSamuraiSword JDM has already said in interviews he's in season 8, so he won't be killed in the season finale. But then what IS going to happen, I wonder???
I also love carol, not so much at the moment, but she'll be back to her ass-kicking good old self soon once she realises that so many people were killed.

MiddleClassProblem · 11/03/2017 10:13

Well maybe they will follow the comics but shorten the time?

OP posts:
cushioncovers · 11/03/2017 11:23

The junk yard people and the tiger have made it laughable imo I know it's following the comics but for the first time ever I'm beginning to loose interest.
However there is a bit of me that thinks if society did break down only the strong and weird would survive and all the weaker people would automatically group together and follow them. So perhaps bizarre/narcissistic people would be in charge of groups of people. Like cults do.
