Surely we have not seen the last of Monkman. Bobby Seagull is in talks to present a TV show on maths, Monkman could be the BBC's new economics correspondent!

Was supporting Monkman & crew all the way but all eight were smiling so nicely at the end when they got the trophy.

I guess I'm the only person who found Goldman to be annoyingly smug and sneery?

And I hated the way he interrupted Paxman (until it got nearer to the end and they were in front and playing for time).

Maybe he was just nervous.... but I'm not convinced!

He was a bit smug & gloaty when he got an answer right but I put it down to his being the underdog against the nation's favourite, Monkman.
