Haha, vaguely West here too. I don't give my exact location away either, I know exactly what Ireland's like. I'm not Irish, although DH is. Been here a long time now & the DC have grown up here.

The all-Russian women's final is very tight. Kuznetsova has the first set on a tie break & it looks like it's on serve in the second. I'd love Kuzzy to win, I've always had a soft spot for her.

I haven't seen any of the women's. We have a bit of a weird TV setup with only Sky in the sitting room and all the other channels in the kitchen so I just watch whatever I can depending which room I'm in!

The weather in Indian Wells looks so nice, we could do with a proper summer this year.

Women's match still very close. Vesnina has levelled so it's a set all, and 4-4 in the final set.

The updated world rankings have Rafa at 6th, 5 points ahead of Nishikori. I hoped this would give him a favourable draw in Miami, and have him seeded 4th (in Murray and Djok's absence) but he's been seeded 5th . In fact Nish has been seeded 2nd!! (he was the losing finalist last year, but come on- his performance since then doesn't warrant it I'm just bitter)

I really hope Rafa does well here, as he is heading towards April where he has a few points to defend.

looks like Fed is going to beat Delpo again. He really is on a roll, old Roger .

Rafa due to play Mahut next, after Raoni pulled out, so it should be a straightforward. More straightforward than the beginning of his match against Kohlshreiber!

I saw some of Rafa's match and a plane flew over really low. If I was there I would have been so scared. Rafa seems to be playing well. Hope I don't jinx him now.

Saw Kyrgios "joking" with the ball boy yesterday after his match about not giving him the ball back. Poor child looked terrified of him

read about the plane! I hope his form continues- even at a steady pace. must admit, I'm also enjoying the absence of Djok ( and Murray.). It's nice to read more about other players for a change.

I'm not surprised the ball boy was terrified. You can never be sure whether Nick is joking, or about to bite someone's head off.

Thanks Drama and magi . I saw Jo had beaten Venus Williams - no mean feat !
Mostly French Open and Wimbledon for me - though it does get in the way of allotment and garden in summer...... I used to listen on the radio quite a bit at one time, but I seem to have lost that habit .
I will need to get up to speed on the newer players - I have been a Federer fan recently - I like a bit of guile and artistry thrown in if possible :)

Yes - he basically just gave up during a match.

He is a spoilt brat & needs a slap, IMHO!

One thing we definitely agree on in this thread, is that Kyrgios is a spoilt brat. Sadly the commentators love him.

And I think we all agree about certain commentators!
