I've been away for a few weeks but was at Devonshire Park today watching the tennis.

Honestly, I would tell any tennis fan to come. A ground pass was £7 & I had a Court 1 ticket, (£11) which gave me access to all courts, bar centre.

I saw: Gasquet v Anderson, Wozniackii, Kerber & (highlight of the day) Monfils v Tomic. Also saw a bit of Halep, Kusnetsova & ( another highlight) The Bryan brothers.

You are so close to the action there - I could have handed Gael his towel in the change over (Phooooooooaaaaar!).

I live not far & if any of you are thinking of coming next year, let me know & we could meet up.

I haven't got to watch much of Eastbourne. Saw some of the Duan/Halep match yesterday. I felt like muting the telly because of the groaning they were doing, especially Duan. She was worse than Sharapova's screeching! I think I have to agree with McEnroe that they need to stop it.

I agree, but as an occasional visitor, didn't like to suggest it.

Who do you think will win? I would be surprised if Murray, Djoko or Nadal did. Federer or Wawrinka are my best bets. I would like to see Federer get one more grand slam, and then retire graciously.

Ooh - if we have a new grass thread, post a link so we can find it!

Just been reading about the possible impact of Wimbledon on men's rankings: Murray currently 5,000 points behind Nadal this season and will lose his No. 1 to Rafa if the latter survives at Wimbledon for one round longer than Andy. But Nadal's knees are unlikely to carry him very far. I just can't see Murray doing very well at all on current form.

Would love to see Nadal win because I support him by default, but Federer is on form at the moment, and another win for him would be something special (I can be gracious now Rafa has made history at RG). I do have a soft spot for Stan, though!

The timing of my England trip is not ideal for Wimbledon- we go back to Canada on Monday! We've got Pliskova & Wozniacki on the TV right now.

I would love to see Rafa back at number 1- he has worked hard, and deserves it on merit.

I am so excited about next week. I need the tennis to distract me from real life rubbish.
