Wawrinka/Monfils was good. A shame that Monfils lost the tiebreak in the second set, it definitely deflated him and made Wawrinka even more determined.

Did Plishkova win in the end?? Had to do food so missed it.

Cornet/Garcia was good too. Didn't realise Cornet was considered such a diva (according to the pundits) but Garcia played well.

Bagel Pliskova did win, but fair play to Cepede Royg, who I had nnever heard of, she did very well.

Khachanov is one to watch, I think. It was certainly not as easy as the scoreline suggested- and his previous matches were against good players. He seems quite a nice bloke.

Magi felt a bit sorry for Andy (and you know me, don't say that often) he was pretty much forced to say something about the attacks, really. He seemed a bit thrown by it on the on court interview, after the match. I don't know if he was different in the press conference after. and not so many people did turn up to watch his match- lots of empty (corporate) seats. Maybe he was being sarcastic.

Cornet is a strange one. I do like Garcia, though.

Monfils often switches off in matches, but then comes back again, (once he's recharged his batteries). i don't like it, I think it's cheating. But he didn't do it today.

That was a fast third set, seems like I only checked the scores two minutes ago and he had just gone two sets up.

Thanks Drama. English is not his favourite subject! It's going to be a long month. He has a week of exams, then a week off and back again for the last couple.
