I love nurse crane

Lilaclily · 05/02/2017 20:40

This is one sad episode

DesolateWaist · 05/02/2017 20:41

No. Poor Shelagh.

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 20:42

Poor Sheila.

I feel for the CO family. Just the other day I watched an old ER where they have similar. That baby was treated in a hyperbaric chamber.

Dulra · 05/02/2017 20:43

I love nurse crane and the actress loved her chapter in lark rise to candleford too

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 20:43

Oops sorry shelagh

Dulra · 05/02/2017 20:43

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 20:44

Nurse crane rules.

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 20:45

There we go. Knew she had a lost daughter.

TizzyDongue · 05/02/2017 20:50

I may have cried a small river bit.

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 20:51

Sister MJ always finds a way!

Dulra · 05/02/2017 20:51

That head nun (can't remember name) is hiding something maybe nonartus house is also under review

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 20:55

Ursula doing the whole guilt thing. She'll be watching TV and eating iced buns before we know it.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 05/02/2017 20:56

Every time I watch this I'm roaring crying by the end.

Ipitythescale · 05/02/2017 20:58

Me too. Crying like a baby.

SealSong · 05/02/2017 20:58

Hah me too Ken! DP just looked at me quizzically and asked why do I watch it if I end up crying everytime......nowt like a good blub, I say

Ipitythescale · 05/02/2017 20:59

Will now be turning over to The Good Karma Hospital. Smile

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 20:59

Aha, a mystery about Cynthia. Would be interesting if they do a good mental health storyline. Next week looks interesting.

CremeEggThief · 05/02/2017 21:00

I've never cried at it. It nearly always ends well.

How lovely of Sr. Monica Joan to give Sr. Ursula an iced bun though. She redeemed herself a bit tonight, but I'm still glad to see the back of her!

DMCWelshCakes · 05/02/2017 21:01

That episode was hard going. I cried buckets about the story of escaping the Japanese.

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/02/2017 21:04

I cried at earlier ones when it was really gritty, the stories as in the book with all their bleakness rather than packaged up in happy endings. The truth would have been that the baby would have died and probably a few more residents before it was discovered. Then the gas would have been condemned but not replaced so the whole block would have been left without proper heating and cooking facilities.

But I don't often cry now. It feels inevitable that it will end well now.

I cried when sister evangelina died though.

Soubriquet · 05/02/2017 21:04

I could see right at the beginning there was going to be a daughter that died and dh guessed the carbon monoxide poisoning

But that's the glory of CTM. You can pretty much predict what happens

I cried..again

OP posts:
JustDanceAddict · 05/02/2017 21:07

I guessed cm poisoning when they zoomed in on the gas fire.
And yay to Sr Ursula going!
Not sure I have watched ctm without crying this series!

dataandspot · 05/02/2017 21:15

Maybe shelagh is having twins?

TizzyDongue · 05/02/2017 21:16

I'm not usually a crier, but Shelagh's story set me off; selfishly though as I remember the terror and utter hopelessness of seeing blood.
