At 8pm

Who's ready for it?!

I agree, it did look like it was her blood on the hanky as it was her side of the hanky when she did the mouth to mouth.

ShelaghTurner · 31/01/2017 11:05

Shelagh will give birth to a live and healthy baby. I'm going to call it now (I have limited insider knowledge this year - which adds to my suspicions). It will be bumpy but will be successful. That's my prediction! Grin

And I don't predict any health problems for Shelagh in this series. Can't speak for the next 3!

I predict Sister Ursula to be done by ep 4! Shame!

This is just my predictions, based on very little other than a knowledge of how the writers think. Just call me Mystic Meg. God I'm annoying...

MrsJayy · 31/01/2017 11:14

Can i join in ive eventually caught up Sundays are warm and cosy again. I bawled at Sundays i adore nurse craine with her hearty handshakes and acceptence and her poems you know where you are with her don't you? I think Barbara is going to be caught taking the pill and be judged for it by a nun. Why are the midwives/nuns all coming and going Cynthia at the mother house trixie in africa and patsy off to hong kong it is very odd not having a full cast.

BertieBotts · 31/01/2017 11:21

Nurse Crane was quite stern at first though, wasn't she? Wasn't she the awful one from the hospital who Jenny really hated?

I think the blood on the hanky was just from her cut hand or from the injured man. The one who died must have been cut or burned somewhere as well, that's why she was using a hanky wasn't it? To lower the risk of infection.

spiderlight · 31/01/2017 11:45

I bloody love Nurse Crane. Can't stand Sister Ursula - I actually shouted 'Don't you dare start on Sister Monica Joan!' at the telly on Sunday just before she took the sweets off her Blush

Soubriquet · 31/01/2017 11:47

Wasn't she the awful one from the hospital who Jenny really hated?

No. That was a matron

To be fair, those sweets were for children, not for her. She could've just taken one, not the whole lot.

Sr MJ irritates me.

ppeatfruit · 31/01/2017 11:55

But poor sister MJ has got dementia hasn't she? It does seem to have stalled for a long time (maybe that happens I don't know). I DO know DM is getting it and is in her 2nd baby\childhood for some of the time, at other times she's normal.

ShelaghTurner · 31/01/2017 12:20

Judy Parfitt's husband had dementia so she should be pretty aware of how it generally works although I know each case is different.

Alfieisnoisy · 31/01/2017 17:42

Sr Ursula will soon be gone, Harriet Walter was doing Shakespeare on stage by September so can't have done a full CRM run. A shame as I love her in this...a real baddie. Grin

ppeatfruit · 01/02/2017 10:54

Yes she does it well Alfie She's a very good actress.

Wumpychoo · 01/02/2017 11:20

I was trying to work out what i had seen Harriet Walter in before. It might have been a film or tv series of a Jane Austen book.

SevenTillFour · 01/02/2017 11:27

I was trying to work out what i had seen Harriet Walter in before

I think she was in Downton Abbey

Wumpychoo · 01/02/2017 11:30

I may have seen her in that as my dh watched that

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 01/02/2017 11:43

Harriet Walter was in Law and Order UK, too - that is where I remember her from.

Alfieisnoisy · 01/02/2017 12:22

She was Clementine Churchill in The Crown.

How did I forget that, Francis? The Lord Peter Wimsey books are some of my all-time favourites, so I must have watched the programmes.

Megatherium · 01/02/2017 13:49

She has indeed been in Jane Austen - Fanny in Sense and Sensibility. In fact I've just seen she's a Dame, must admit that had passed me by.

Wumpychoo · 01/02/2017 13:56

Oh yes. I just looked up Fanny Sense and Sensibility and it's that I remember her from. She has quite a distinctive voice and makes a good baddy.

CurbsideProphet · 03/02/2017 23:28

I wonder if Shelagh getting pregnant so miraculously is a sign that something will go wrong... I'm sorry to see Patsy go, will she be back this series or not at all?

ShelaghTurner · 04/02/2017 06:54

Patsy is coming back yes. And Shelagh will have a bumpy ride. That's all I'm saying Wink

Wumpychoo · 04/02/2017 09:50

How did you find that out Shelagh?

ShelaghTurner · 04/02/2017 11:00

I'm a sad obsessive who knows where to keep her ear to the ground. And I have a support team! Blush
