I really enjoyed the book so looking forward to this. It's in 4 parts with Emily Watson playing the main character and Ben Chaplin as her lover. BBC1 9pm

I don't think he is attractive enough for the role, he's too small, I think he needed to be very handsome and charismatic for us to understand how he swept her off her feet. I think her Husband is a good looking man.

Sapphire Catastrophe is very funny IMHO, Sharon Horgan comedy. C4 have started to advertise the next series already. He has a lovely (natural?) Scottish accent in this.

I found the end really shocking after enjoying the program as I have unfortunate experience with that sort of thing - is the rest all about that moment and her not being believed? Because if it is I don't think I can watch! If someone has read the book can let me know I'd appreciate it!

Saw Ben Chaplin being interviewed about this, Emily Watson recommended him for the part. The foot in the bucket was something that happened accidentally in rehearsal and they kept it. When she was getting dressed to go out that last evening didn't it show her putting stockings/hold ups on yet in the toilets she appeared to be struggling out of tights?

I think she was struggling out of black Spanx type garment.

Husband is Mark Bonnar. He was in Line of Duty too, and, way back when, as dodgy Bruno in Casualty. I think he's hot, even if Yvonne prefers mysterious X .

I don't think Ben is charismatic enough for the part TBH, makes what she's risking not so believable to me.
