Doesn't excuse the bronzer though.

I thought it was bad fake tan rather than bronzer. And a touch of real 'winters in Ibiza' tan. Or is it a combo?

Because I don't like being told about colour by someone who clearly doesn't understand what colour her own face is.

Normally I agree that it is poor form to pick up on someone's looks but this is someone who presumes to tell everyone else that they are doing style and colour wrong.

Cats cats cats!!!

Anyone noticed someone in production loves cats? All the "filler" shots of the grounds / street feature random neighborhood cats. We were trying to count how many different ones were on each episode.

We decided not to play the 'spot the cat' drinking game halfway into the first episode.

The cat motif is hilarious. Someone is having a right laugh with it. Is it the same director for all episodes I wonder?

Did Daniel strap his todger to his leg? Only explanation for how he was entirely bulge free in those trousers...

Also, fwiw I don't think anyone is criticising Kelly's looks, more her style. Which given the nature of her profession seems fair game.

Absolutely, when KellyH comments on poor colour choices, it reminds me of this classic Far Side cartoon about Armani

I always concerned that the finishing will be shoddy with such a short timeframe or the that the fold out furniture will collapse when I actually want to use it.

Yes, a 'what happened next' from previous series would be really interesing!

Pink - I used to think that about Changing Rooms too - I remember reading something somewhere saying that the finish was dreadful, and things were held shut with gaffer tape for the filming - I guess it didn't matter what happened when the people actually had to use the rooms.

Cecily The winner from the first series now presents a BBC series called Money for Nothing in which she upcycles unwanted furniture. Her website is www.sarahmoorehome.co.uk/ - she doesn't seem to be decorating as such now.

I'm guessing the woman who famously burst into tears on Changing Rooms has replaced her scheme with a wall of surveillance photos and newspaper cuttings of Laurence Llewellyn Bowen.

Oh wow I hadn't put it together that Sarah from "money for nothing" (which is a load of tosh but DD and I like gawping at it) is a previous GIDC winner!

What did Sarah Moore do - did she do some stencils of trees on some hessian type curtains for a Scandinavian look?

I think it was Sarah who painted the armchair in chalk paint then used polish on it to buff it up to a shine. It was a amazing.

I've tried to google the chair but too many different things come up! Can anyone link?

Here's her blog and, yes, it was her who used a roller stencil on the fabric or walls. Can't see a chair though.

The chair wasn't her. It did look amazing on TV, I'm not convinced that it would have looked amazing IRL and might well have come off all over your clothes.

Someone called Fiona Wilson did the painted chair (if we're thinking of the same one. Purple). I had to look it up as it's stuck in my mind too.
