Is anyone else eagerly awaiting the arrival of taboo starring my lover the beautiful Mr Hardy on Saturday 7th of jan?

Or do I have him all to myself? Grin

"The beeb could film him sitting in a chair for an hour and get great viewing figures for a fraction of the cost."

I did wonder how many minutes of the show had been lost to JD constant brooding and walking around, sitting, ripping things up in front of fires Grin

There is nothing likeable about him; violent, obsessive, grubby....and yet we (DH and I) still want him to win. It's bizarre.

Yeah but look who he is up against? The alternative winners are either the EI company or the king! Nothing at all redeeming about neither of those.

Exactly, the people he hurts are pretty nasty on the whole, and usually attempting to kill him anyway

OneWithTheForce · 13/02/2017 12:14

The EI company is already responsible for killing hundreds of slaves and getting away with it.

Btw I watched another film on Netflix last year that was about a young solicitor trying to prove a ship was sunk deliberately with slaves on it for the insurance. Taboo has reminded me of it with this storyline. Does anyone know what it was called?

Nancy ha ha - £2m indecent proposal! Good call!

I literally can't get TH out of my head since That Scene With The Dress. I need to grow up 😏. Roll on Saturday 😂

RiaOverTheRainbow · 13/02/2017 13:59

That sounds like Belle one

OneWithTheForce · 13/02/2017 14:05

That's the one! Thanks ria!

The one with the force. There was a very similar storyline on Garrow's Law, but that's not a film. Another one is Amazing Grace about the anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce, starring Ioan Gruyffth ( I should know what how to spell that as I'm Welsh, but I think it's Wrong! ) and Benedict Cumberbatch. That was very good, but not sure if that ship was in it.

drigon · 13/02/2017 14:07

Sorry, cross posted. Yes, Belle is excellent too.

OneWithTheForce · 13/02/2017 14:18

Thanks drigon I haven't seen either of those but will try to now.

I'm really enjoying the storyline. Yes, I admit, a rather large portion of my viewing is letching inappropriately at the lovely TH, but I still am intrigued by the story.

Sociopath/ psychopath/ incestuous soap dodger or not, I still want him to win.

happypoobum · 13/02/2017 20:11

I am not sure if I can link to this right - www.facebook.com/cbeebies/videos/1203099993058634/

Brontebiscuits · 13/02/2017 20:13

I would really like to see the James Delaney version of the Cbeebies bedtime nightmare story...

Brontebiscuits · 13/02/2017 20:15

Or maybe Tom Hardy in full the full Bane-from-Batman get-up, reading We're Going On A Bear Hunt through the mask.

happypoobum · 13/02/2017 20:18

It's the "get yourself tucked up and I'll see you very soon" that did it for me Grin

Brontebiscuits · 13/02/2017 20:22

Oh he and the Cbeebies lot know exactly what they're doing with that..Grin

Gardenbirdy · 13/02/2017 20:39

To be fair to CBeebies that was a genius move

OneWithTheForce · 13/02/2017 20:42

'Get. Into. Bed. Now.' .

Or maybe..

'And here is James Delaney to read us all a bedtime story'.

JD: 'No'. .

OneWithTheForce · 13/02/2017 20:51

"Take off those fucking flannelette pyjamas now!"

Much prefer TH himself saying "night night"

😍
