Will Gloti get a historic 120 points, will 3x bridesmaid Kev finally make it up the aisle, or will sis Jwan steal the glitterball and if so, do we have enough Kleenex for Ore?! It's #SCD10 FINAL 2016

In preparation for tonight. So who are you rooting for? Danny, Louise or Ore?
My preference would be:
Danny
Ore
Louise
But I really don't mind who wins and quite like the idea of Ore taking the trophy.

None of the dances did that for me either Chipstick. They're all performers. Fake is their job.

sheldonesque · 18/12/2016 03:44

Only just watched it.

I'm so glad Ore won. For me tonight he did the business.

I didn't get goosebumps at any of the dances tonight which was a surprise but I did feel joy when Ore danced. And dance for me is about actually feeling something given that I have zero dance knowledge.

The only thing I could do to music was march and I would make a proper show of myself on Strictly. I would reduce Anton (I so would get paired with him!) to tears and probably would make him swear.

It gladdened my heart to watch those two tonight and that takes a lot considering I'm well into humbug mode.

Len. Ah Len. I will miss you. Your goodbye section made me cry.

I didn't watch the final for teoreasons

  1. I was in a pub simultaneously getting palatick and singing away like a strangled skylark (Beer and Carols at Annfield Plain - I recommend it!)

  2. I have never been less invested in a final. Since Ed and Rinder were thrown to the wolves, I have lost all interest. My one consolation is that Louise didn't win - Thank you Monkseal, for e-mailing me that heart-warming information. However I am now very worried that Danny is locked in a cupboard under the stairs after having been give a Damn Good Thrashing, and will be on bread and water for a forting.

FlappysMammyAndPopeInExile · 18/12/2016 08:18

*two reasons, not teoreasons

FlappysMammyAndPopeInExile · 18/12/2016 08:19

*fortnight, not forting

FFS autocorrect - what have I ever done to you

MrsJamin · 18/12/2016 08:33

Just read all the comments from yesterday. Really glad Ore won. I think his emotions are just near to the surface, I think it's sweet. The head judge hasn't been confirmed at all, darcy said on radio 2 interview that it won't be her as her background isn't Latin or ballroom. It may be someone new to strictly from the ballroom world, which would be good I think, someone fresh who can give a new perspective rather than someone who's been a pro before.
The Ricky and Natalie thing was never confirmed, they were not an item publicly and now she's married.

NoahVale · 18/12/2016 09:24

i think the stars were Oti and Katya

and of course Ore and Ed Balls.

NoahVale · 18/12/2016 09:26

and the Samba and the Gangham Style

ExitPursuedBySantaSpartacus · 18/12/2016 09:46

Oti is fabulous.

Minimammoth · 18/12/2016 09:48

Oti is indeed fabulous, but I thought it was she and not Danny who misstepped the quickstep.

TheDrsDocMartens · 18/12/2016 10:20

I thought she missed a 'leap' never learnt the technical terms

Hoping to see more of Katya,Oti and Oksana next year!

Juicyfrooty · 18/12/2016 10:22

I think oti's heel might have caught on her dress hem a couple of times.

worrierandwine · 18/12/2016 10:32

I'm probably speaking out of turn but I also found Ore just a little too emotional bordering false as well as Joanne, not keen. Feel rather a bitch saying this though as don't know either of them and they could be the most lovely people on the planet. Danny came across as genuine and lovely and was by far the best dancer, he was in a league of his own. I don't give a crap about them having dancing experience as I think whatever bit they have had will be a drop in the ocean in terms of what they learn on the show. FWIW I hope they have Karen Hardy as her critiques on ITT are always fair, sensible, full of info yet easy to understand.

NoahVale · 18/12/2016 10:34

do they have another ITT?

Runny · 18/12/2016 10:34

On reflection, despite being team Danny im glad Ore won. He has no prior dance training and is what Strictly is supposed to be about. It was also a genuinley nice suprise when the winner was thought to be a forgone conclusion.

Mega pleased for Joanne. A Clifton finally gets the glitterball, just not that one Grin

worrierandwine · 18/12/2016 10:35

Also, all that "I'm so in love with this woman" shiz was completely inappropriate and if I were his wife I'd be slapping him before congratulating him!

4andout · 18/12/2016 10:49

So pleased Ore won. My favourite rarely wins. I find Ore genuine and lovely. I found his dancing emotional whereas Danny's dances were perfect, but no feeling in them for me. I can't stand all this business on social media about it being a fix. What is wrong with people this year who can't seem to accept results of voting?......and I say that as a Remainer and a Clinton backer!

SoupDragon · 18/12/2016 11:30

I'm not sure I can be arsed to watch the final now.

I suppose it depends if DD wants to watch it.

Bejazzled · 18/12/2016 11:36

I'm glad Mr Flouncy McFlouncepuff (Will Y) didn't come back. What an utter nonentity self regarding special snowflake he has turned out to be.

TheDrsDocMartens · 18/12/2016 11:55

We've just at rewatched last nights, the 'everyone is back' dance wasn't as bad as some years.

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 18/12/2016 12:28

Was gutted when Will left. His tango was my favourite from the series and his Bollywood salsa was lovely (given they had no say in movie music, theming or even choreography that week). He came over very well in the launch show and on the main show. I still think the way Len spoke to him with the turn up, keep up and shut up jibe was totally unnecessary.
As he has never properly spoken up about it, we have sod all idea how hard it was for him physically (the training) or the mass publicity the show brings (mentally). He bowed out. They could have done a non elimination following week but chose not to.
So whilst Flouncy McFlouncepuff made me smile, I actually would have loved to have seen him. He would have been crucified either way though.
Anyone know why no vt of Bruce for Len leaving? Is he really ill now? Sad

OP posts:
CondensedMilkSarnies · 18/12/2016 12:35

I've just read that Bruce is ill, there was talk of him appearing on the Christmas special but he's too unwell .

rollonthesummer · 18/12/2016 13:39

Loved it all and so glad Ore won!

Do we know when they announce Len's replacement? I hope we won't have to wait until next September??!

Charley50 · 18/12/2016 13:42

Loved Ore's dancing but his proclamations of love for his dance partner were OTT, cringeworthy and embarrassing. Loved Danny and Oti's dancing and Oti is just the most amazing dancer and choreographer.

CaveMum · 18/12/2016 14:41

After the show last night my dance teacher put this video clip up on Facebook, I do wonder if she was implying it was where Oti got her inspiration for the Samba choreography or if she was saying "this is how to do a slo-mo Samba"!

The couple dancing are the fantastic former World Latin Champions Joanna Leunis and Michael Malitowski:
