As part 3 is full.

I'm having a day off due to illness, so am planning a re-watch from the beginning as have got used to the time switches that confused me at first. Quite looking forward to it - will pay extra attention to all things yellow, legs in fireplaces and anything else that you suggest. Probably cover my eyes at the drilla moment again though!

I don't think we can read much into IMDB as it's not got all the cast in there

Optimist1 · 29/11/2016 13:05

I looked at IMBD and thought there was one significant omission in tomorrow's cast, storm. I could, of course, be wrong! (Or IMDB made a mistake?)

FuckYouDailyMail · 29/11/2016 13:17

I think there is something odd about the army photo - the person holding the flag camera front right is deliberately positioned so their face is hidden.

I agree with the speculation about Eve's mum/Stone's wife too, she's key I suspect.

shallichangemyname · 29/11/2016 13:45

Have we discussed this part of Stobe's conversation with Sam when he was watching him for Eve? Stone talks about Sam's troop coming under fire in 2001, then talks about 3 lost souls before he goes doolally again.
What is the significance/potential significance of this? It's an odd thing to shove into the script if it's irrelevant.

GoldenGumballs · 29/11/2016 14:06

Yes Alas I'm with you I think Eve is controlled. Can't wait till tmrw!!

Dancergirl · 29/11/2016 14:09

So excited about tomorrow!

A question for all you clever lot - on the den of geek timeline that someone very kindly linked to, it mentioned a photo taken in 1976 of a young Gettrick with his uncle in the cabin. Where have we seen this photo??

LarkDescending · 29/11/2016 14:17

Dancergirl have a look upthread to 26.11.16 at 19.32 onwards, where we discussed the context in which the cabin photo came up.

Dancergirl · 29/11/2016 14:18

Oooh thank you lark

MargotLovedTom · 29/11/2016 14:18

Re the bit outside of the hospital when Stone whisked Eve away - I think he didn't like her talking to Sam. If he (Stone) had had something to do with the kidnapping of girls and murder, and arson and whatever else, he's not going to want his Military Police daughter chatting to one of the involved families any more than she has to. The "Yes Sir!" was, to me, a humorous response you'd say when your parent is bossing you around for your own good. I would maybe say "Yes boss!".

I don't know how everything is going to tied up in an hour Confused.

SleeptightDaisy · 29/11/2016 15:00

Linking to the discussion up thread about Sophie's abduction and involvement of the French police. I'm sure I read on one of the links either the timeline or the article by the writers about missing parts due to fitting into eight episodes that all the girls were taken in Germany two who lived there and one on holiday.

LarkDescending · 29/11/2016 15:17

SleeptightDaisy that didn't come from the writers, if I am thinking of the same article.

It is not consistent with the press clipping we were shown about Sophie's dispprearance, which said (in French) that she disappeared in the Paris area, on her way home from school.

LarkDescending · 29/11/2016 15:18

*disappearance

GrumbleBumble · 29/11/2016 16:26

Sophie was taken in France but even if she wasn't French police would be involved (as the British police are with Maddie McCann and Ben Needham). Baptiste is involved because he was on the case when she disappeared. In real life I'm sure their would have been offical contact between the British Army, German police and French police - not just unofficial contact with a retired detective.

SleeptightDaisy · 29/11/2016 16:56

Sorry I thought it was written by the writers as it also commented on the deleted scene of how Matthew met the twins. I thought it answered a few questions as how she was taken etc but obviously it not it was someone speculating just like us.

ClassmateHB · 29/11/2016 17:23

Bookmarking, completely lost this thread and it's TOMORROW!

LarkDescending · 29/11/2016 17:37

SleeptightDaisy I don't think the writers have ever said Sophie was on holiday when she went missing.

If you mean their DM article, I believe they explained why both series were set in countries other than the UK. One child (Ollie, series 1) went missing while on holiday. In series 2, Alice went missing from where her parents were posted "...so both have been taken away from home even before they are abducted. For the parents, because they’re outsiders, the place starts to feel hostile. They’re stranded, and that can feel suffocating".

MoonfaceAndSilky · 29/11/2016 18:59

I think there is something odd about the army photo - the person holding the flag camera front right is deliberately positioned so their face is hidden.

Yes I noticed that.

slenderisthenight · 29/11/2016 20:05

I've just watched episode 7 thinking it was the last and everything was going to be revealed....arrrrgh!!!

ewanthedreamsheep · 29/11/2016 20:15

I think Brig's wife isn't in it, because it would be inconvenient to the plot. You couldn't have as many eve/brig scenes, as he wouldn't need to stay with her, she wouldn't be sorting the nursing home etc.

GoldenGumballs · 29/11/2016 22:46

Just watching back and when Eve's sister comes to the hospital she seemed to really cringe when Stone reaches out to her? Grasping at straws now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2016 23:47

Found you all

Will go and catch up and wow tomorrow is last one. Hope it gets a proper ending

Tho I'm working tom night so won't see till thur - will avoid this thread 9pm tomorrow onwards

Shropitlikeitshot · 30/11/2016 05:57

Out of interest, and I'm too lazy to read back, did any of you clever posters guess it was drilla before the drilling?

I'm loving reading all the theories.

Impressive hesterton !

I read the post re his being a famous actor but thought that could also just have meant his role would get bigger as the story progressed.

Only thought "Oh oh" when he was so cagey opening the door to LovelyJorn.
