Place marking. Need to think what it all means...

EsmesBees · 16/11/2016 22:09

The scenes with the little girl were so tense. Awful waiting to see what he'd do next.

weareliverpool90 · 16/11/2016 22:10

Did anyone notice the picture on Lucy's wall that she drew. Swiss alps and a woman buried?! 😏😏

THE MISSING IS BACK - PART 3
BELLAARA · 16/11/2016 22:11

Oooh totally missed that. Explains her calmness when she told her husband she'd handed over the camera to the police, at their first meeting since he was jailed.

Oatsinajar · 16/11/2016 22:13

I think this episode was really poor compared to the others. We haven't really moved forward. a lot of history most which was easily guessable

I'm struggling here - why did driller killer release Sophie?

Manumission · 16/11/2016 22:13

No, she's not framing him. She just hasn't made the connection to Iraq '91.

She and Baptiste will fill each other in and she'll know that her DH is innocent after all.

Manumission · 16/11/2016 22:14

I'm struggling here - why did driller killer release Sophie?

To stage events that would bring an end to the hunt for both Sophie and Alice.

TheSpottedZebra · 16/11/2016 22:15

But surely if Nadia was in on it, she wouldn't have arranged a beating that left her in a coma for weeks or months?

I don't think it was her. She was involved in the Iraq bit, but not the Europe bit.

TheSpottedZebra · 16/11/2016 22:17

I utterly missed the 2 doors. I shall search a pic.

GreenGinger2 · 16/11/2016 22:17

She knew there was that incident in Iraq and that they were up to something in England. She must have known they were connected.

youarenotkiddingme · 16/11/2016 22:17

Was totally gripped by that! I was also right for the first time that they'd fill in some gaps between 14 and 16!

So he calls her Sophie and says Sophie was in hospital. And she did have a baby.
Also noticed the second door but that didn't appear to have a window as only showed one window blocked from outside.

Also noted when he asked if she loved him he only replied good girl or something.

Well done on all those who called Nadia being involved as 3rd person.

Oh and it was twin things who hurt her. They are thugs who are using Matty situation to beat people IMO.

Beating could be separate.

SardineJam · 16/11/2016 22:18

I too felt this episode was slow as most of the elements revealed most people have guessed - based on tonight not sure how there can be two more episodes. Disappointed tonight!

*I'm struggling here - why did driller killer release Sophie?

To stage events that would bring an end to the hunt for both Sophie and Alice.*

She was released because she had peritonitis - she would have died without medical attention.

GreenGinger2 · 16/11/2016 22:26

Pictures put on after he "lost" it(she could have taken it, or somebody else),pictures then put on and sent to her so she'd hand it in.When they had a suspect they 'd stop looking.

LillianGish · 16/11/2016 22:26

Driller released Sophie because she had appendicitis. She went back as Alice so she could stay in Eckhausen. She complied with the plan because she wants to see her daughter - she's still complying now for that reason. She must have been kept with Alice to have known so much about her.
When Nadia saw the pics on the butcher's camera she seemed shocked. I don't think she's framing her husband - someone else is, but seeing the photos made her believe he could be guilty. She's being punished for something that happened in Iraq - she left the army after that and married the butcher. Earwax you recently rewatched - can you recall the meeting between the Brig and Nadia in the butcher's shop and what was said? Still can't work out how what happened in Iraq is connected to the abduction of Sophie in France.

Manumission · 16/11/2016 22:27

But it many ways it would have been easier to take her to a hospital under a false name.

The whole plan was much more complicated than just getting treatment.

Elendon · 16/11/2016 22:28

'So we know that Sophie is Sophie and is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Lucy is being held captive. Lucy has drawn a picture of a dead girl in a town with a building that has turrets and is in a mountainous region.

Lucy has talked about bad men, but this is simply repeating her father's (?) paranoia (this episode was so about paranoia). Sophie is her mum and is in Switzerland at the cabin left to driller by his abusive Uncle.

Nadia was in Iraq in 1991 and is about to tell Baptiste what she knows. I don't think she framed her husband.

Why didn't Matthew tell his mum and Baptiste what Sophie said to him, to tell the Butcher she was sorry! Plus I can't believe that he went to the prison without the prison officers informing his parents, unless he gave a false name, even so. What a nasty crowd he's involved with.

Watching this makes me paranoid about by own teenage son! He's a great lad, I wouldn't want him to get mixed up in anything (he took his father leaving him at 8 and starting a new family recently 400 miles away very badly).

In all it was an upsetting watch tonight, but brilliantly acted. And for goodness sake Baptiste please get back to France. His daughter was the one who gave him the card, for good luck - he's going to need it.
