It's been quite busy on here today compared with recent weeks. I wish we could get some OG news then it might hot up again. ice are you going to give any hints as to who you think will make an appearance in S3?

Again ice the restaurant most certainly is my favourite scene. I giggle every time and it's not just because I sat at that very table (thanks to our fairy godmother Nickel) but because the friend I was with never twigged once that it was all pre-arranged. She still thinks it was pure coincidence.

Rhu sorry to hear your DD is so upset. There are times when you just want to jump in and interfere and yet you know it would only make things worse in the long run. Either that or wave a magic wand. My grandma always used to say things happen for a reason - so maybe something even better will turn up in the long term. Here's hoping anyway.

Feeling better today and went to the supermarket this afternoon - nice to get a change of scenery! Of course, I couldn't say whether BA is here to aid my recuperation......... Elvis and CJ have been very good carers, however. Elvis wasn't too keen at witnessing the puking up bits but made up for it in other ways. CJ wasn't phased by any of the illness at all.

Very windy here but my godson has just phoned from Bristol and I think it's worse there than here.

Night all.

Evening everyone. Saw this a few minutes ago:
Tickets available for tonight (just)released so it looks as if our favourite Captain has recovered.
90 minutes on stage nonstop is really intense and for consecutive nights very hard on the throat and that wonderful voice.
Hopefully he won't have any more problems.
We have all had the awful throat and

cough bug and it has been very difficult to shift (a good old Yorkshire ism).
Enjoy your weekend all.

Alwaysfrank · 03/02/2017 20:07

Hello again everyone- not been on for a while, sorry! I've also had the lurgy this week and had my first sick days since starting my job 9 years ago. Hope you are feeling better now ilove.

I would love to see the play - it sounds like a very small theatre so it would be amazing, and it's a short tube ride for me to get there. I'm just not sure I could get dh to understand as he knows nothing of my "interest" in BA...What to do?!

Ilovelblue · 03/02/2017 20:13

Evening all. Back to normal again today thankfully. Up at a reasonable time (the first time all week) and cleaned the inside of the greenhouse out before nipping into town this afternoon to see my bank manager re reducing working hours/retirement.

I do love these Trending Now threads. Has anyone seen this one?

There's a fabulous response from MontyPython part way down the first page!

Ilovelblue · 03/02/2017 20:38

Always is there nobody else you could take to the play with you? Sorry to hear you've been ill - there are so many bugs around at the moment.

icemistOBE · 03/02/2017 21:11

Oh try and go always, everyone saying Ben is amazing!

Watching episode 3, in fits of giggles with "he's gone off" so gotta read Our Girl Zombie again Grin

Does anyone remember that line in OG2 when Georgie and Kiki are locked in the cage and Georgie's talking about Elvis in Afghan. Kiki asks her what happened and Georgie says "He went off!". I swear that was a deliberate nod to the Zombie lovers!

I haven't watched either series in a long time now. It's probably about time for a binge.

P.S. thanks for the words about DD. She has cheered up a lot today.

Ilovelblue · 03/02/2017 22:03

Rhu I have just seen this which somebody posted on Facebook and it made me think of your DD.

I know I should try, I'm just not sure how I would explain it. It's hardly been widely advertised or publicised so it makes me look like a bit of a stalker Hmm

icemistOBE · 04/02/2017 09:52

Look at the curls Smile

Ice lovely pic you've found Grin. Have a relly (BA fan) who's booked to go with three friends after reading the very good reviews. Sadly the date they are going doesn't work for me.

icemistOBE · 04/02/2017 20:18

Oh what a shame kezia I am gutted I can't make it.

Lovely picture ice plenty of unruly curls!!! There seems to loads of positive reviews for his play. Let hope he gets some other acting roles from it.

Lazy day for us today, we went out last night for dinner with some friends and today we are both feeling somewhat jaded!! It's a tea and toast day!

Nickel45 · 05/02/2017 21:52

always, did you go?
Have to say the curls and scraggly look (Wink) are not for me ... But I know some of you like it Grin ... Much prefer the OG look.
This is a fab review .. here

Evening everyone. Back to work tomorrow. It's so rare I'm off ill, it's a strange feeling, and it definitely doesn't feel like being off on holiday for a week!

Had a very sad conversation with my elderly friend (whose husband is very poorly and whose garden I cleaned up last month). Her daughter, who I used to be friendly with but we fell out when she started having an affair with somebody in her office, has had a nervous breakdown. Not surprisingly, it all centres around the guilt she's been carrying out for the last 25 (yes, they've been having an affair for 25 years). It just goes to show, you never know what really goes on in somebody's head. I can't see her being back at work for quite some time.

Was anyone on here going to see BA? If you've said, I've clearly forgotten.

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2017 22:39

PS: It's awfully quiet on here at the moment.

Rhubarb01 · 05/02/2017 22:47

Evening. Been a bit busy today. I took younger DD out shopping in Bath today which turned out very well as she pretty much needed a whole new wardrobe of clothes as I threw out almost everything she possessed last week during a major clear out (with her approval, I hasten to add). It was a bit of quality time which we don't often get, so it was good.

I've been catching up on TV I've missed such as Call the Midwife and Apple Tree Yard and now I'm watching 'The Good Karma Hospital' on plus one which looks really lovely and I'm enjoying it. I reckon it's a bit 'Casualty' meets 'Death in Paradise' but fairly engaging. There's a tall, dark, moody, handsome young doctor too!

Richtea19 · 06/02/2017 07:26

I did t watch the Good Karma Hotel but will probably watch it on catch up during the week.

ilove I'm going to see BA, it doesn't take me long to get in to London so a lot easier for me.

kazzaD66 · 06/02/2017 09:59

Ooh, I'm so jealous rich Have a fabulous time, we expect a full report afterwards!
Nickel I'm with you on the BA look. Still wouldn't say no if he rocked up at my door looking like he was off to audition for a revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, but that second pic of him is one of my favourites. Not sure it gets much perfect or sexier than that. Surprised ovaries aren't spontaneously combusting all over the place!!!!GrinBlush

Oh Kazza I agree with your every word I think everyone who cannot make it to London is absolutely gutted. Hoping for updates from anyone who gets there.

Whilst I have a quiet moment with no one looking over my shoulder I would like to thank the ff writers who I have read over and over again in this last twelve months. Very difficult year as our business was washed away with the floods of Dec 2015. I don't know how many of the writers are mumsnetters but you are all brilliant. I have been able to escape the real world so often and it has kept me sane. This site and the ff site are great so thank you all

icemistOBE · 06/02/2017 13:43

Oh I am jealous rich!!! When do you go?

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 06/02/2017 22:46

Evening everyone. Back to work today - it was hard going!

Yorks we used to have a few ff writers on here but most have fallen by the wayside unfortunately. pixie is Pinerug and Jen is Jenmc but she's not writing at the moment, more's the pity. Laceybird popped up briefly a few weeks ago and there's also Two Chicks. I am having a mental block though as to her MN ID. In fact pixie isn't writing either and we've not seen her on here for a bit come to think of it. I think she's gone AWOL.. I think we'd all agree with you about the ff being pure escapism.

Sorry to hear you were a victim of the floods in 2015. We suffered quite badly this side of the Pennines too though I personally was ok. A village only 5 miles away suffered very badly and had the RAF and army helicopters plugging the banks of the river.

It's very windy here again tonight. The cats haven't moved for hours.

Richtea19 · 07/02/2017 10:57

Yes it has been really quiet on here. We are all waiting for OG news!

DS passed his driving test yesterday , just one more worry for me! I thought have little people was difficult, but I'm telling you you wait until they are teenagers/mini adults!

It would of been my mums 79th birthday today, I went to see dad with some Freesias (mums favourite flowers) we had a reminisce over good times.

MIL has her lumpectomy today, so everything crossed for that.
