We had shocking news at home. My MIL found a lump in her breast before Christmas and has just had all the results which confirms she has breast cancer. She is really positive but such a terrible time for her.

For me it's bringing back all the memories of my mum which I managed to file away at the back of my brain!

Very sorry to hear your news Rich. Must have been a dreadful shock. I know exactly what you mean about dredging up memories you'd filed away too. What treatment are they suggesting?

They will remove the lump and lymph and then definitely radiotherapy and possibly chemo depending on what they find .

Whatever people say about the NHS, they are pretty hot on the urgent or critical stuff. Have they said when the operation is likely to be?

ilove the operation will be within 4 weeks. But could be as quick as next week. She has had all the pre op assessments etc so just a date to wait for now.

Ah richtea what awful news for your family. Lots of hugs to you all. My mil had the similar 2 years ago, lumpectomy, removal of lymph nodes, chemo&radiotherapy and she is doing very well now. Thinking of you xx

How are things today Rich?

All ok ilove nothing really to report MIL hasn't received her date yet so it's a waiting game at the moment.

DS had his driving test yesterday and failed. He is devastated (and me £££££!) we have signed up for a cancellation as the next available date is May! At £25.00 a lesson it's costing a fortune.

Yes, it's not cheap is it? Are you sitting with him in between lessons for practice? That is soooo nervewracking. I sat with my godson for practice. So weird to have no control. I had to sit on my hands most of the time.

Ahh, tell him all the best people pass second time around richtea. I was so nervous about my test first time I made a complete balls up of it. I was much calmer second time around.

He said is was physically shaking! I think second time around will be better as he will know what to expect. DH is taking him out for practice and I do occasional, I'm pressing my imaginary break all the time!!!

I watched TIna and Bobby last night. It's dreadful. Why are the reviews so good about her. She is the same in everything she does, just different hair!

rich second time pass for me too, felt more relaxed, couldn't get my knees under control first time.

Watched Tina and Bobby not sorry to say won't bother with next episode, can't quite put my finger on why . In my youth was a big Bobby fan 1966 and all that!

Ok Yes a fan of Bobby here as well which is why I watched last week. I agree I couldn't tell much difference with the accent from OG. I did think one of the other WAGS was the actress who played her sister in OG did anyone else spot her? I may watch or record tonight's episode and see what I think

Rich I passed second time too. On my first test, I was doing ok and I suppose relaxed too soon - ended up setting off in second gear and nearly throwing the examiner through the windscreen! Mind you, I was so nervous the second time that my leg didn't stop shaking and even though I passed, I remember saying "Your clutch control needs some work young lady!"

Just watching the Trump inauguration day on the news. Whatever I think of Donald Trump (basically not a lot), I have to say I love his wife's outfit, shallow as that may be. It's one of my favourite colours (as you can tell from my MN ID!)

It will be yonks before we get to see Bobby and Tina. Depending on which website you read the reviews are varying to say the least.
However I am not a fan of MK so will give it a miss.
Weather cooler here after torrential rain and winds up to 130k an hour. Garden clean up time!
I read an article this morning about BA in his new play. Seems he is very fond of OG and hopes to be in the next series.
S2 starts for us on Monday night. Eyes 👀 on!
