Hi Dreams (or do you prefer Fairiy?)

Of course we don't mind you joining us! We're all mad but in a very nice way we think.

We're a bit short on OG material at the moment but we are waiting for filming to start in March. We are all, without exception, huge fans of Capt James and BA. The jury is out on Elvis. I am a fan, as is Rhubarb and (I think Richtea) but you are definitely amongst friends here. Some of us have been on here more or less from the beginning but we've had a couple of newcomers once S2 was shown.

moojangles · 02/01/2017 22:05

Good call rhu & still very much prefer your Elvis still

Rhubarb01 · 02/01/2017 22:05

Welcome Dreams. Newcomers are always welcome. It will be good to get some news about series 3 casting and dates etc when it comes along. It's going to be interesting to see where it goes after two series which were very different to each other.

DreamsAndFairytales · 02/01/2017 22:10

Dreams is fine, or Lacey :)
I'm not sure on Elvis. He's handsome, but that's as far as my opinion goes atm. . TBH I'm not too sure on S2. I think I'm going to rewatch it as a standalone series because I have the series saved - I definitely preferred S1! I could watch the first one over and over haha!
Yeah, also massive fan of CJ/BA. Wink

Rhubarb01 · 02/01/2017 22:21

I'm with you on Series 1 versus Series 2. Series 1 will always be the best in my opinion. Perhaps the fact that series 2 didn't continue CJ and Molly's story was a good thing in the long run because we would probably have disagreed with it after reading so many versions of what might have been.

YorksOAP
Hello dreams and welcome. I am a recent newcomer after lurking for a long time.
It was great just to read all about others who were BA/CJ obsessed
as none of my friends watched OG either although I tried to convince them they didn't know what they were missing!!
All waiting out for news of OG3.
Best wishes for 2017 🤗

DreamsAndFairytales · 02/01/2017 22:35

Yeah perhaps you are right. I think that the writing for S2 was fairly mediocre, so they probably wouldnt have done the relationship justice...but my opinion is based on the first attempt of watching S2, which was just shrouded with disappointment and dislike for MK.
Where have you read other versions to, may I ask?

Nickel45 · 02/01/2017 22:38

Hi Dreams lovely to meet you. Have to ask, but are you the fanfic Lacey?

I still haven't watched S2 again in its entirety, definitely preferred S1, infact (whispers) I even deleted some of the S2 eps, to free up disk space, thinking I would get the DVD ... Haven't deleted any S1 eps ...

Spent the evening getting DS to bed, he's either hitting the teenage years a few years early, or reverting back to the terrible twos .... having a mare of a week with him, love him mor than anything, but really need them to go back to school!

DreamsAndFairytales · 02/01/2017 22:41

And thank you User (how do you tag in a message?)
(Un)fortunately OH isnt as impressed by CJ as me, but he has agreed that BA could be on my list of five as long as LT could be on his. 😂

Ps Happy New Year to you all :)

DreamsAndFairytales · 02/01/2017 22:46

Hi Nickel...oh God, aha. I could be that Lacey. Blush

I am also counting down to preschool return. Love my DD to the ends of the earth but she's the definition of 'threenager' right now. Hmm

Nickel45 · 02/01/2017 22:56

Your stories are AMAZING! Thank you xx

Usually it is the other way around, but this week it is the DS who is causing me grief, DD has been amazingly ok, in comparison nothing at all to do with the threat of losing her iPad, of course! Have booked into a kids chocolate making workshop tomorrow, thinking the kids would love that, DS refusing to go. Still, back at work on Wednesday for a rest, DH can deal with them, not that I'm counting the hours or anything!

Ilovelblue · 02/01/2017 23:00

Ooooooooooh, so you are THAT Lacey. Yippee. Loved your latest one, thank you.

I likened S1 and S2 to returning to a holiday destination you loved the first time round but the second time, the weather wasn't as good and your favourite restaurants had disappeared. I actually agree with Rhu that it was as well the CJ/MD story didn't continue as we would have been very critical - knowing of the fabulous ff out there.

I didn't think I'd be so taken with Elvis as I was. Very good looking indeed. In real life, Luke seems to have had a fair few women on the go this year. I can't imagine he would have much difficulty with that and wouldn't be on his own very long!

Must get off to sleep now. Night all. xx

DreamsAndFairytales · 02/01/2017 23:03

Oh, gosh. Thank you. I dont tend to read them through, so I will take your word for it 😁 I feel flattered to have a 'fan' thoguh. Its just a hobby that lets my creativity flow for a bit :)

A chocolate making workshop sounds amazing. I think your DS may be climically insane for not wanting to go. Can I take his place? Haha!

DreamsAndFairytales · 02/01/2017 23:09

Thank you Ilove. Its probably the last one for a while. Inspiration comes few and far between these days :)
LP is very handsome, though took me a couple of episodes to see it. Was probably the army uniform that persuaded me of his beauty haha!
I am gonna hit the hay too. Was lovely to meet you guys, thank you for being so welcoming :) good night. Xox.

SoEverybodyDance · 03/01/2017 01:05

Just popping in to say hello to everyone and Happy New Year to all! I'm a very occasional poster these days, but welcome Dreams and Fairytales from another admirer of your FF stories - you're the nuts...

Richtea19 · 03/01/2017 07:33

Morning all, really icy this morning. Back to work for me :( although the boys are back too which is good.

nickel the chocolate workshop sounds very good! We have so much left from Christmas, I'm thinking I could melt some to out over ice cream.

Like you rhu Decorations all packed away yesterday, the house seems bigger and dusty!!!

Welcome lacy!! I love it that new people are still popping into the thread. Not a huge discussion about OG but it's always our favourite topic for discussion.

Does anyone have a New Years resolutions to break before the end of the month!!! ?

Ilovelblue · 03/01/2017 08:13

Morning. Work for me too. Slept rather fitfully from about 5am as I was frightened of oversleeping.

Not a resolution exactly but I promised myself to sort through a pile of clothes on the bedroom stool which needed taking to the charity shop/mending/altering or something and had time to do it over Christmas but as of 11pm last night, they were still there. Confused

TRish47 · 03/01/2017 08:41

Good evening ladies. I could sure use some of your cold weather now. 33 degrees to a tad to warm for me. Welcome Lacey. I love your stories. Rhu your latest update was wonderful thank you. I read on Facebook that some ladies had been to listen to a reading by BA. They met him after and asked if he was going to be in S3.
He stated that he could neither confirm nor deny!
They took it that he was going to be in it? Here is hoping.
S2 starts for us over here soon. It was advertised today. I just hope they don't cut out bits like they did in S1.
Jen nice to see you make an appearance I hope Life is treating you well?
Nite Nite all xxx

Nickel45 · 03/01/2017 08:54

Morning.
I'd happily take you guys instead of my grumpy pre-teen, I mean, what's not to like about a chocolate workshop ... It's chocolate. What more is there to know!!
I don't usually do new year resolutions, as I am so rubbish at keeping them, but this year, I am going to try the walk 1000 mile challenge (walk 1000 miles in a year), although we are doing it as a family, rather than just me! not quite the right way to do it, but hey ho, anything has to be better than nothing, so far we've done a couple of miles on both days this year!

pixieg1rl · 03/01/2017 09:50

Morning all, and nice for you to join us Dreams/Lacey

Last day off here, although I worked right up to xmas and then between xmas and new year so I'm not exactly relaxed and refreshed for the new year.

Not so much concrete resolutions here but trying to make a conscious effort to make time for quality parts of life instead of the hamster wheel of work, cooking, cleaning and doing nothing much else by default. So far on the first working day back for MrP he's back to the usual routine of a litany of jobs half done, so sorting the laundry = taking the basket half way up the stairs, emptying the dishwasher = putting the plates away and leaving the basket of cutlery on the counter. After a miserable autumn/winter I've got myself a SAD lamp, so far finding 20-30 minutes each morning to sit next to it when I'm not needed by someone is enough of a challenge.

Good luck with the training day mooj, if you get 'stiffy klaxon' and 'weapons grade scrotum' I'll be impressed.

Decorations stay up here until Epiphany or the weekend closest to it, so they will come down on Saturday. I'm not religious, but my upbringing was and we put them up late (usually xmas eve) and took them down in January so that's my habit.

When I get back to my work routine of bus rides every day hopefully I'll be able to catch up on FF reading - I must admit that I've barely read any except rhu and whajeb's since S2.

Nickel45 · 03/01/2017 09:55

pix MrP and MrN must have gone to the same school of "helping", that's exactly what he does too!

icemistOBE · 03/01/2017 10:10

Morning

Hi Lacey I'm another big fan of your work! One of my favourite writers on there.

No resolutions here as we never stick to them. Tree and decorations all down yesterday although room looks bare now.

Did treat myself over the Xmas period and watched series 1 & 2 all over again.

Eldest not back to school till next week, but they only broke up on 22 Dec. Could do with him back today tbh

Came up on my Timehop today that it was a year Times me, Rich & ilove met up Grin

Looking forward to cast announcements, won't be too long now Wink

nickel I like the sound of the 1000 mile walk. We have just started (not the boys) and we managed 2 miles to the pub, lunch and then 2 miles back!! With an incentive I could manage it. I was thinking of the couch to 5k run thing that goes on with park run but I'm not sure my knees can take it.

DH also went to the same school as MrP and MrN, i call him "half a job". Drives me insane.

I can't believe it's been a year since we went to Manchester and met up. DS needs to keep studying pass his A levels and it might be meet ups in Sheffield or Leicester, if that's near anyone??

KeziaOAP · 03/01/2017 10:33

Welcome Dreams/Lacey another fan of yours here Smile.

My resolution is to sort out all the junk/boxes stuffed in the attic from under beds when I had new carpets fitted in November! haven't set a timeline for doing this Hmm

icemistOBE · 03/01/2017 10:49

Sheffield a train ride away Wink
