ilove that pud sounds delicious. Made a dutch apple pie served with the apple tarte ice cream another good combination.

I'm rather partial to MA too even with the beard Grin

Ilovelblue · 16/12/2016 09:11

We could start a recipe of the day Kezia. Either that or take commission for product placement!??

pixieg1rl · 16/12/2016 10:27

I very much enjoyed meeting him ilove. We chatted a bit about OG and then about what he has done since and has coming up as well. Fingers crossed we see him back again.

MaddieMoo82 · 16/12/2016 10:34

Morning all. ilove and kezia if you are going to do that can you please send some my way for tasting Grin

Final day of annual leave before I'm back at work tomorrow and then the big push at work before Christmas. It's always so busy so gonna enjoy today with a long walk with the dog and pottering around the house. Not sure I want to pick up ds from nursery later, it's his Christmas party so he's either going to be grumpy and overtired or will be on a sugar fuelled rampaging high! Confused

pixieg1rl · 16/12/2016 11:00

Right, bit of a tangent here, but for those of you with Minecrafting kids there is now a minecraft map/world of Bath (data.bathhacked.org/Heritage/Minecraft-Bath-of-Central-Bath/skdg-8f3j?utm_content=buffer445d1&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer). Unfortunately it doesn't include the Royal Crescent so you can't play minecraft Molly & CJ

Richtea19 · 16/12/2016 19:19

It's been manic at work this week, a lot of people of sick and we have been really short staffed. Home now and a large glass of wine poured! DH and I are off to York tomorrow morning for a couple of days, I'm really looking forward to it. Boys are fed up as they have Nanny staying with them!

Ilovelblue · 16/12/2016 22:02

Hope you've made the most of your last day Maddie. Are you working over Christmas?

I love York Rich. Have a Fat Rascal in Betty's for me! I am meeting a friend tomorrow by the way. She usually comes to me but I said we should meet halfway this time so we are having lunch where we met up with ice in early October.

Ilovelblue · 16/12/2016 22:20

My boss retired today. I feel quite sad - it's the end of an era. Pleased for him as he's wanted to go for a while and he had a very good presentation speech with some lovely presents (all bought by me - I should put present buyer on my CV) but it's always sad when somebody you like goes. The guy who did his presentation could truly do it professionally if he wanted.

MaddieMoo82 · 16/12/2016 22:27

Yes ilove had a nice quiet day. Unfortunately the nursery rang mid afternoon to say ds was poorly so he didn't get to enjoy all of his party bless him.
No, we work it every other year so next year will be my Christmas on. I am working every day except xmas day and Boxing Day and New Year's Day though. I don't actually mind working xmas day though. Everyone is usually up for a laugh and makes a special effort to bring food etc in. Also gets me out over the debate over where to spend xmas next year Grin

Do you have a new boss ilove?

Enjoy York richtea! Bet it will feel lovely and Christmassy.

Richtea19 · 17/12/2016 11:01

mads shame little one didn't make all of his party. There is so much going round, we have had the Norovirus in our local hospital and at the surgery so many prosper with bugs and colds etc. Let's hope all is better for Christmas.

ilove that was a fab restaurant we went too, especially the Yorkshire puds! Oh and The wine!

We headed off early this morning and managed a glass of champagne at St Pancras before our train! On our way now. I'm really looking forward to it and yes will definitely take a trip to Betty's, we bought mince pies last year which where gorgeous.

Ilovelblue · 17/12/2016 19:47

Evening all. Sitting with my friend nursing our betting slip and watching Strictly. We make an evening of it. I've done the tea which we've eaten in front of the fire with a bottle of prosecco. Just about to eat my apple pudding again with pannetone. Photo coming up especially for Maddie in a few mins.

Ilovelblue · 17/12/2016 20:02

Who would make you the most ilove?

Missing strictly tonight, driving home from my nephew's birthday party

Ilovelblue · 17/12/2016 20:33

In order: Ore, Louise then Danny pixie

pixieg1rl · 17/12/2016 20:52

Milky bars are on you then ilove!

Rhubarb01 · 17/12/2016 21:08

Well done ilove but I'm glad I didn't bother to watch. First time ever but I just couldn't summon up any enthusiasm after Claudiagate. Just hoping next year's celebs rekindle the enthusiasm. I think I actually like it better at the beginning when there are more of them and there's a wider range of ability. I'm afraid Ore's always annoyed me a bit because when he used to present on CBBC he always delivered his lines with what felt like the emphasis in all the wrong places in the sentence (a bit Trump like really) and the crying this year really got on my nerves. Oh well, I didn't think a great deal of Jay last year either. Trying to remember the last winner I was pleased about hmmm probably Caroline Flack and Harry Judd.

KeziaOAP · 17/12/2016 21:11

Yes..... brilliant SCD result so pleased Ore won, good for you I love Grin

Ilovelblue · 17/12/2016 21:23

I missed the announcement of the winner! I had to rewind! My friend shouted through to the kitchen as I was making us some coffee. There'd been a load of cr*p from Tess and Claudia filling in time really and then it was announced without the usual fanfare. I've booked us a meal at a restaurant in Manchester on the strength of our financial gains! We were expecting Danny to win to be honest but this is definitely a bonus.

Rich hope you're both enjoying York. Our meal at lunchtime was very good by the way but as I had prepared a meal of comfort food for tonight, I had to be more careful what I ate than when we were there with ice.

Rhubarb01 · 18/12/2016 11:21

Morning. I will admit to having gone to the SCD catch up this morning and fast forwarding to the group dance of all the eliminated contestants near the end and I really enjoyed seeing them all again. It reminded me of the fun bits of the show in the first 6 to 8 weeks so I expect I'll tune in again next year and there will also be a new judge for the show so that might be interesting. I'm hoping it's Karen Hardy because she knows her stuff.

Today I am finally trying to organise the house for Christmas. The tree went up on Friday but because I get s*d all help from anyone else nothing else has gone up. I am seriously contemplating doing no other decorations in protest. If they don't like it they can all do something about it. I also ought to make the mince pies. I didn't do it last week and there's still no room in the freezer but if I don't I,'ll end up making them on an evening or worst of all on Christmas Eve and I've too much else to do then.

Have a good day everyone!

MaddieMoo82 · 18/12/2016 11:54

Morning all.
Congratulations on your win ilove Grin and its a good idea to use your winnings on a nice meal. Talking of food, your picture you posted last night looked lovely. Work was a nightmare yesterday and I had a right mare getting ds to sleep so had a dodgy takeaway at about 9.30 last night when I finally sat down, so was very jealous of your yummy home cooked food!
richtea hope your having a lovely time in York!
rhu good luck with the Christmas prep. I'm manically writing cards whilst ds sleeps as we am meeting my brother for a dog walk later and popping to my parents after that. There's not enough time in the day at the moment!!! Shock

Richtea19 · 18/12/2016 16:03

York is so Christmassy. I love it here so much. Have to admit we bought mince pies from Betty's. I did make some last week. They were the Good Food Ultimate mince pies, Chris Evans mentioned them on his radio show. I wasn't keen. The pastry was really short and more pudding-y. Having queued to get into Betty's , they will do!

Ilovelblue · 18/12/2016 17:42

Great update Rhu. Yet another cliffhanger though - I was nearly chewing my nails!

Like you, I've watched the dances again from last night's Strictly. My friend talked through half of them and I had to tell her to shut up so it was nice to watch in peace. I felt rather tearful when they did the tribute to Len towards the end.

I had a real shock this afternoon. I had meant to go and collect our Strictly winnings this morning but forgot so popped out about an hour ago. We thought we could remember what the odds were and had calculated what we would get but it turned out to be double that! I pretended to my friend that we'd got less than we thought and her face fell, so I told her the real amount and it was hilarious to see her reaction. I couldn't stop laughing!

Are you in York again overnight Rich or are you on the train home?

Richtea19 · 18/12/2016 22:55

Mulberry bag ilove????

Yes another night in York. We went to the Mulberry factory store but nothing much there, all odd colours or styles that aren't so popular.

We love York so much. There are so many places to eat and drink, hundreds of pubs!! We went to one today that had a Gin list !! My G&T was served with thyme and strawberries, very odd!!

We leave tomorrow lunchtime.

Ilovelblue · 18/12/2016 23:43

Not enough for even a Mulberry purse from our winnings but it will pay for a nice lunch and the train fare into Manchester next Tuesday for the sales. It's more the fun of the predictions really.

I love York as well. So quaint. Not been for about 5 years though we tend to get to Harrogate to the RHS gardens every year. Must be due a trip next year.

icemistOBE · 19/12/2016 15:51

Presents wrapped. Now to pack for Ireland. Bloody knackered already Smile
