Mary Berry has exquisite taste Nickel - she will be of the same opinion as us, I am sure of it.

Sorry to hear you've not been well ice. There seems to be a lot of lurgy around at the moment, just in time for Christmas of course.

Always I am suffering with sciatica which is very wearing so sympathise about your back. It's been worse tonight than ever! I am seeing the physio again early tomorrow. I shouldn't laugh (and understand why you were cross) but the idea of Mr Always sloping off for a Sunday afternoon kip did tickle me. I hope you gave him what for!

It reminded me when you mentioned Phoebe WB ice, if people have seen this? It's a very alternative 12 Days of Christmas but really made me smile.

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I liked it!

Wycombe123 · 12/12/2016 23:08

If you squint you can see BA at this evening concert! I was restrained this time without Nickel to lead me astray - haha - and didn't hang around afterwards. Phoebe sent her apologies from LA and her sister in the series, Sian Clifford gave a reading. My fellow villager Mary Berry was brilliant ofcourse. Happy Christmas to you all!

Aww Wycombe you need your wing woman nickel to lead you astray next year.

Lovely photo. Hope you had a great time

icemistOBE · 13/12/2016 07:58

Oh fab photo Wycombe I would most certainly have stayed. He loves talking to fans Grin

Proper knocked me for 6 ilove took a few days to feel 100% just glad it was now and not next week!

Maybe Mary invited him over to our carol service ..... We can live in hope!!

Richtea19 · 13/12/2016 11:55

Brilliant photo wycombe!! X

pixieg1rl · 13/12/2016 16:15

Some lovely photos of BA coming out from the charity services he's done in the last week (not that yours isn't lovely Wycombe)

The first from the Anthony Nolan service and the second from the Charlie Waller Trust. I think he can stand down from his Christmas duties now (and maybe wash that jumper)

Do you think that's his 'reading at a carol service' jumper?
This is last year pic ....

Grin nickel. Do you thing the mumsnet collective need to take him shopping? Socks, jumper, shirt with a collar…

Nickel45 · 13/12/2016 22:03

Of course (although thankfully he seems to have ditched the jacket from before) I'd definitely be up for that. Need to get orphan back with her tapemeasure ... :)

Ilovelblue · 13/12/2016 22:07

I'm with you on that pixie. As much as I love and lust after CJ, every time I've looked at those photos today, I've thought how much he favours murky coloured jackets and how he needs the CJ Collective to act as his personal shoppers. I don't know much about actors but always thought they were keen to be seen at their best in public.

I'm confused about these carol concerts. Which is the one "our" people went to last year where BA read - these are different ones he's reading at this year, yes? Or have I got it wrong?

I've not been at my best in public today: more acupuncture with (apparently) thirteen needles in my back. I lost count after about eight I think.

user1471547055 · 13/12/2016 22:19

YorksOAP
I think I am a totally hopeless case I like him in whatever he wears and have to admit I am usually concentrating on his face and either smile or 'stern face' and that lovely hair. Also I am a dark colours person so probably don't notice as much as everyone else.

Richtea19 · 13/12/2016 22:23

He looks slimmer in the face at this years carol concert, little pudgy cheeks last year!! Wouldn't say no though!

Ilovelblue · 13/12/2016 22:35

Yorks I think we decided last year he would look better out of that awful diarrhoea coloured suede jacket than in it (but we would have had fun getting him out of it without a doubt).

Nickel45 · 13/12/2016 22:40

Last year it was the sick children's trust, ilove, but BA isn't reading at that this year ... That's tomorrow night. This year, I think yesterdays was the CWMT (Charlie Waller Memorial Trust) and last week was the Anthony Nolan Trust.

MaddieMoo82 · 14/12/2016 09:55

Morning all. Lovely pics of BA in clearly his 'carol service reading' attire. I must admit I'm very taken by the coat and tight fitting black jeans Grin

I have a few days off work so keeping ds in childcare and trying to get my life sorted!! Hired a carpet cleaner and post most of yesterday doing that. Im quite embarrassed at the colour of the water afterwards Blush
Ds had his nativity/carol service yesterday. He was not impressed and spent it crying/trying to escape of the stage/or looking totally shocked by the whole thing. It could be because I forgot though and he had to wear pink fairy wings and some tinsel Shock
Any ho, enough of my rambling... Im off to try and finish my Christmas shopping. Hope your back is feeling better ilove after your needle torture yesterday x

Ilovelblue · 14/12/2016 23:23

Evening.

Jury is out on the acupuncture Maddie, thanks for asking. Not sure if and when you know if it is working. I'm still getting the horrible cramp like symptoms in my leg and it's those that wear me down the most. First thing in a morning are when they are at their worst when I get up.

Any news from the carol concert?

pixieg1rl · 15/12/2016 09:16

Well I'm very tired ilove, and I left early and didn't drink. It would have been nice to have stayed later but work today and a slowish train home meant I had to leave by 8.

Had a lovely evening seeing people and we had many many giggles. No gossip really, but as those who are on Facebook will know I got to meet Mark Armstrong who was just delightful and gorgeous and very nice to everyone even mad ladies who lust after his beard on Twitter (ahem). I hope he gets a part in s3.

MaddieMoo82 · 15/12/2016 09:37

The pictures looked fab pixie glad Mark (and his beard!) lived up to expectation!!!
Hope the pains better today ilove

icemistOBE · 15/12/2016 16:11

Mark is lovely, he chatted loads to us when we met him at the charity football match.

Works party last night, finally feeling human again. Glad I was not working today though. Some of the younger ones stayed out even longer,

Afternoon - just about. Just popping in to say hello. Not much to report apart from the ever growing list of things I haven't done which includes Christmas cards, I really hate it and always put it off but I suppose I'd better try to write some and post tomorrow. Work is busy right up to the 23rd and then it will be manic food shopping on the 24th I expect. I also haven't bought the kids much for Christmas because they won't give me any ideas and don't seem to want anything - arghh! Gone are the day when they wanted a list as long as your arm.

Nice pics of BA glad to see the Carol Concert tradition is continuing.

MaddieMoo82 · 15/12/2016 17:42

Uh know how you feel rhu about the cards. I decided to make some from ds to send but if I don't get a move on and finish them they won't be delivered before xmas, especially since there are postal strikes next week.

Nickel45 · 15/12/2016 18:10

So awesomely cool pix, hope you checked it out properly for strokeability ;-)
Did you stop grinning all day? :)

Im on my way to pick up 4 boys from an ultimate combat party. That'll be a quiet journey home!?! Was going to write my list of things I need to do for Christmas, but just discovered DH has invited BIL on Sunday so now have to sort out what to cook then instead. Still, it's ages to Christmas, isn't it?!?!!!! Eek.

Ilovelblue · 15/12/2016 22:39

Evening all. Had friends round for tea tonight - seems to be a tradition now that I cook a venison casserole for them each year at this time. All plates were cleared so I presume it was all ok. I also did a particular pudding they've had before which is basically sliced apples, layered with a breadcrumb, vegetarian suet and brown sugar mix. This time I tried it with pannetone crumbs instead of ordinary bread and was quite surprised how well it turned out. I served it with Kezia's apple tart ice cream.

I bet you felt as if Christmas had come early yesterday pixie? Pity he wasn't gift wrapped for you! You know I'm not a huge fan of beards but I have to say he's got lovely teeth and a very attractive smile. Did you grill him on OG stuff or were you too busy obsessing on his beard?
