I've seen an advert that says it returns in November, anyone know what date?

Really looking forward to its return! Anyone else?

So the premise is that he had trauma from his mum and became psychotic due to the stress of being in jail.

Neither Alison nor Helen cared about him enough to stop him covering for them, and going to jail, or to try to get him to seek some MH help.

ArriettyClock1 · 26/01/2017 23:09

I enjoyed the latest episode.

I suspected that Noah had stabbed himself, tbh.

But I still think we'll find out Gunther is a bad guy.

jardy · 27/01/2017 20:04

Noah's crisis did my head in.Helen was brill.I felt sympathy for her over her crazy parents.Agree Vic is a cold fish.Alison was watchable.Gunther's little boy with autism was accurately portrayed. The rest was confusing.Little boy was the Star

Surreyblah · 28/01/2017 07:52

Yes, Helen's parents are mad! Great caricature. They deserve to stay locked in the silly panic room!

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 28/01/2017 10:49

Surrey it was his dad running after a young Noah Smile

Powergower · 29/01/2017 09:32

Oh do fuck off Helen. Bravo for telling Vic you've been sad and accommodating noah because you killed spotty and can't live with yourself. Now tell him you snagged max and noah in the same day, then see if he comes back. I was a big Helen fan until this series where I cabt abide her. She's become noah. Noah has become an evil more repulsive noah (so he now killed his mother and raped Helen as well as all he has done in previous series). Alison has become even more drippy.

This series has been awful and I particularity hate it's sanitisation of rape. Most of us guessed in the first episode that noah had stabbed himself. His story (mums death, prison, breakdown, French professor) has been irrelevant abs unnecessary. What was the point in making him even more loathsome? What was the point of the boring episode of him and Alison on the island. Nothing has really been followed up properly in this series and now it's ending.

Powergower · 29/01/2017 09:33

Shagged not snagged! Spotty not spotty.... of the curse of predictive text.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 29/01/2017 11:26

Series has completely lost its way and it was so good

I think they have tried to teach the audience about mh issues and taken itself a little too seriously it was about a sordid affair

Helen has become so self absorbed only thing I found interesting was how she experiences Alison cocky and sure of herself different to how everyone else sees her

Do love Helens parents would like them in it more

LemonBreeland · 29/01/2017 18:08

I think this series is overly confusing in þhe way it has gone around what is real and not real. Noah obviously had guilt over his mothers death and didn't want Helen to move him to a better prison because of that.

I thought it was interesting how different Gunther looked at home, compared to in prison.

I'm not convinced anything will be neatly tied up in the final episode.

OneInAMillionYou · 29/01/2017 22:27

I've hated this series, and only forced myself to watch it for the Alison/Cole episodes.
The writers have lost the plot, the Noah segments in particular are barely watchable and I fast forward as much as I can. I have never cared less about a character than I do about Noah.
So messy, with ridiculous timelines and the plot device of looking at scenes from each different perspective is woefully misused.

Won't bother with the next series, if there is one. It has strayed so far from the original entertainment values and is now a plodding, tedious bore fest.

TheHiphopopotamus · 30/01/2017 12:15

That was rubbish! Was that the series finale? I feel like I've missed and episode somewhere.

diddl · 30/01/2017 21:55

Is there going to be more?

I thought that that would have been a good ending tbh.

Noah finally admitting faults & doing something not about him.

shortsaint · 30/01/2017 23:08

Agree, what s disappointment.

SO many odd ends. Even a series like Mad Men - which had a trajectory over 8 series - didn't leave a season finale like that.

Just odd.

EachandEveryone · 30/01/2017 23:12

That was ridiculous what on earth was the time line supposed to be? What a bag o shite.

EachandEveryone · 31/01/2017 09:06

Where is everyone? It needs to end now doesn't it?

hudyerwheesht · 31/01/2017 09:21

Was that the finale? It was a total snooze fest.

The last series had 12 episodes so I'm wondering if there'll be another.

LemonBreeland · 31/01/2017 09:26

That was the finale, and it was shit. Half of the finale given over to Juliette, who is not even a main character. No Alison, Cole or Helen even, apart from waving at the window.

There is another season but I'm not sure I'll watch. How can they have the season finale with just Noah, when he is the one character that we don't watch it for. Utterly disappointing and has changed beyond recognition from the first series.

diddl · 31/01/2017 09:41

I know that I'm in a minority but I quite enjoyed it.

Helen moved on, Noah reconnected with the kids & Whitney back.

Who gives a fuck about the Cole/Alison will they won't they?

Other than Luisa!

Can't imagine what any more series would add.

The Affair happened, ran it's course & we've seen then fallout.

hudyerwheesht · 31/01/2017 09:56

I was convinced Alison was going to be pregnant and there would be another who's the daddy storyline. I felt that her and Cole dtd/Cole still having feelings for her seemed to be shoehorned in and I can't see the relevance tbh.

But more importantly why no resolution re the rape? They even showed it in the recap at the start then made no reference to it. I'm fuming that Noah seems to be either oblivious to what he did or knows full well and isn't even feeling any remorse. Very unsatisfactory end to that storyline.

MrsJW15 · 31/01/2017 11:21

I felt it was a bit odd - didn't quite seem to tie up everything with Alison and Cole. But I felt it left Noah in a much better place - not quite sure how he got there though! Wonder what they'll do with a 4 series.

EachandEveryone · 31/01/2017 11:58

Did it say how long after Paris was? How did he make an overnight recovery?

What they sgpuldve done was Whitneys story.

ArriettyClock1 · 31/01/2017 13:07

Well it was all very pretty and I enjoyed the French dialogue, but I felt I must've missed an episode or 2 (I haven't).

I was glad there was no drippy Alison in this one.

DoNotBlameMeIVotedRemain · 31/01/2017 13:46

I really enjoyed but a bit disappointed it didn't tie up more loose ends. I think think this was Noah's 'last gift' to his family and he's going to crash downhill again next series...

diddl · 31/01/2017 14:20

"I was glad there was no drippy Alison in this one."

Oh good grief yes!

" didn't quite seem to tie up everything with Alison and Cole."

I thought that they did that last week.

He still loves Alison but decided to stay with Luisa.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 31/01/2017 14:30

I liked the ending in the taxi that was about it

Felt all so rushed Noah suddenly well again I doubt Vic is that foolish to believe Helen's line and just because Noah cheated why should Helen and Alison get away with their part in Scott's death neither seem that bothered more that they will get caught out and really Juliette would have sex with Noah on her doorstep when her husbands body has only just been taken away and her grieving daughter could walk out at any time

I'm sure I shall watch the next series but this one was very disappointing
