Yes the editing can skew things but I agree Ed comes across as much the same. But then, the 'editing' syndrome could apply to anyone we decide we don't like Kevin.

Yeah, the forced friendliness between Ana and Brendan was very apparent at the end, I guess they don't always get matched with partners they gel with.

Oh come on the comments bit at the end is clearly edited to be three sad comments followed by three happy comments. Every. Week.

It'c clear everyone is asked "How do you feel about xx leaving?" followed by "How do you feel about being back next week?" and they pick what they broadcast from what they get.

If someone's sad comment never gets shown then I suppose it could mean maybe they are not that sincere or convincing, I will grant you that.

But every week it's:

Person A - I can't believe that xx is going!
Person B - I will miss xx sooo much!
Person C - XX is a wonderful person! I am so sad!
Person D - I'm coming back next week! Woo Hoo! - and I think "you heartless bastard" Every week I think that.

I was just watching back some previous week's routines and Claudia and AJ's Charleston is so amazing. If it was any week after then she'd have got 10s.

Claudia seems to be quite under looked compared to louise etc even though she's so talented. I think she has the potential to keep improving and potentially win.

Going against the grain here but I would have been happy to see Daisy go - she's a nice enough girl but her dancing is just boring - same for Louise and Laura - although I did love Laura's tango this week.

Re Natalie and her crocodile tears - she knew exactly what she was doing and what Craig's reaction would be - even I - who knows nothing about dance - said she just choregraphed that so that he wouldn't have to do any swivelling hips - the old Kristina trick - get the pro to do lots of showy shiny moves so that no one's looking at the celeb. That's why I'm loving Katya - she makes Ed dance.

Louise is just very... vanilla. I loved Eternal but even I can't believe she's the same person now - no attitude whatsoever.

Loving the love for Brendan! Wasn't he considered just a little bit dorky once upon a time? And does anyone remember him appearing on Celebrity Love Island or some such drivel? (disclaimer: I only watched because I was curious about him being on there - not my usual TV fodder )

Ah shame Brenda has gone i really dont think Anastasia liked him that much but tbf feeling looked mutual, the show dance was very dramatic vampire Brendan . Yes i think Claudia and Aj are under the radar but i think they will be in the semi final at least .

Back in the early days Brendan was The Bad Boy of the Ballroom, the original James Jordan if you like! He had the affair with Natasha Kaplinsky while engaged to Camilla Dallerup; constantly argued with the judges and made many of his early partners (who admittedly weren't much cop) cry, a lot.

I'd say it's only in the last 5 or 6 years he has mellowed, I'm assuming that's around the time he met his now wife.

I did get the impression Brendan had had enough and put his full energy into his performance to highlight Anastasia's lack of bounce. Then again he could have just been enjoying it.

I remember Brendan on Sleb Love Island! . It was pre-Strictly days for me so I'd never seen him before. There was a Penthouse model there and all the guys were making fools of themselves over her. Brendan wasn't quite as extreme as some though, just a few cringey comments. He did devise a dance routine at one stage though, think it was a country & western style thing.

Does anyone else think that Laura and Giovanni have a thing going on? Or at least that Giovanni very much wants there to be a thing? I didn't get that vibe from them at all before she went off with her injury, but felt it quite strongly this weekend.

I really like evil Brendan, he's quite convincing. I can't imagine the 'nice' pros being able to be as evil as him. Evil Kevin would be funny and evil Pasha would be cute.
