For those who loved it last time, will you watch after the let down of the ending? (Well I felt it was a let down, don't think there was a proper conclusion at all and still room for doubts as to whether he was still alive or not).

I loved it though and will definitely be watching the next series. I've seen the trailer and it looks very very good. Julian (think that was his name) is still in it. Looks like it is based on JayCee Dugard/Elizabeth Fritz type cases where they have gone missing as children and reappeared years later.

I'm so glad I've found this thread, I am becoming obsessed with this programme. I understand everything that's happened so far (I think) but I am still SO confused. Every episode asks more questions than it answers

I feel the need to confess that I also recognised (and have) the water bottles from the Shitty Dinner. Ikea Korken. And I recognise the chairs too (Hendriksal or similar) but I don't have them.

But that's not really confirmation iyswim, no one has said it. We know that "Alice" had a baby but we don't know when. I'm just not sure it's just a dumpy outfit.

I think the person who is in the burning shed is the real Alice. I think the imposter Alice goes there to meet up with the Brig (it was just before the arrest of the butcher that she slept there before). The key was shown still in the lock first time round so he could have got in. I think imposter Alice has gone back to wherever she came from leaving the real Alice (who was probably already dead) in the shed. She has framed the butcher for the abductions so that is why she wanted the brother to apologise. No one will be looking for the abductors now so they will be thinking they have got away with it.

I'm sorry, I really can't see from that photo how the person in blue is meant to be Alice! It genuinely looks like a male with short hair. Even the physique looks male, much taller and broader than the girl in red (who is the returned girl?). Are we definitely meant to believe that the person in blue is the real Alice?

I'm not seeing it either!

Sophie/Alice needs to wash her hair or at least brush it and a bit of under eye concealer wouldn't go amiss now either

Any idea why Butchers wife deleted the picture of her tied up in sexy attire? Was it the butcher behind her?

Wouldn't have looked good to the police that he liked a bit of tying up,she deleted it because it was incriminating.

I thought it may not be the butcher but maybe she was just deleting because she didn't want to make him look like someone into kinky sex? Maybe both of them ares just completely innocent but their lives have been destroyed by this and that's their story (plus her connection to Henry).

I think that photo on the roller coaster might just be like the unfortunate photos you get in heat magazine. I'm guessing if her eyes were open she would look more Alice.

The thing I didn't like about the first series was there were so many possible clues / scenarios, that you assumed would all be tied together at the end, but they didn't! Lots were just left unanswered, like they had just been randomly thrown in to put the viewers "off the scent".

I really hope that doesn't happen again with series 2!

When did series 1 take place in this time line? Is it pre Sophie disappearing?

But realistically that's what happens, isn't it? The police are following up loads of "promising leads" and some lead nowhere but end up not part of the answer, and some lead to the answer. It's a matter of sifting through it to see what's part of the puzzle and what isn't, and some of it won't make sense until the end.

I imagine the butcher's wife deleted the photo because it was indicative of him being into more extreme sexual practices - she was tied up with her mouth gagged. It was indeed the butcher in the white underpants; I thought it looked like he was taking the photo with his reflection seen in a mirror behind her (not that there was a third party in the room taking a photo of the two of them).

ginger yes....... I suppose you're right, I just like a nice "clean" ending where everything ties together!

If he took it, she would still be in the pic from behind though. I hadn't thought about who took it? Maybe they had the timer on
