For those who loved it last time, will you watch after the let down of the ending? (Well I felt it was a let down, don't think there was a proper conclusion at all and still room for doubts as to whether he was still alive or not).

I loved it though and will definitely be watching the next series. I've seen the trailer and it looks very very good. Julian (think that was his name) is still in it. Looks like it is based on JayCee Dugard/Elizabeth Fritz type cases where they have gone missing as children and reappeared years later.

There are a lot of English women married to European men in this. I know it's to explain the English speaking but you'd think just one couple could be the other way around.

Sophie definately looks pregnant in the video. Abused by her father and thats why she returns as Alice so she doesn't go to her dad?

Yeah, I reckon one of Sophie's parents was abusing her. Not sure if she was preggers in the video as surely someone from her school would have mentioned it if her parents didn't when baptiste was looking into it. They must have known if so many of us saw it in one clip. I reckon it's just an odd top? But wouldn't rule it out either.

I can't visualise brigadier in a camper van so there must be more peeps. I can't tell if the butcher is a set up or not. I'm just suspicious of everything!

If it's a ring in the army, wouldn't abduction bring more attention to it? Or did someone (say butcher) abduct them and then pimp them in the bunkers etc and brigadier was a client? I hate that sentence I just wrote. It makes me sad inside.

I think because the brother went crazy at her in the Aldi carpark but also because she was a bit nasty to the boy with his dad's diary and she just seems a bit suspicious.

I think she's a cow. She def has bad ties to Henry but maybe that's just it. Maybe painting her as a bitch but actually she's just caught up in it by being married to a paedophile is just it with present day /14 stuff? I just think there must be things we are thinking that have too many arrows pointing to them.

At least we know that "Alice" must die soon. It can't be much longer with both death dates.

Oh and pp said maybe girls were adopted? Has anybody seen Twinster on Netflix? Totally possible twins can be adopted and know nothing about each other and then find each other randomly but it might be a bit far fetched for this. If it were then maybe abductors were bio parents.

I've just watched last night's episode. What's up with the army guy? Eve's dad? There's so much I need to know! How did "Alice"'s dad get the burns? Where's Eve's baby now?

Was the policewoman somehow covering for her dad - pretending to be pregnant then passing off Alice's baby as her own? But then why would she have scan photo? Ridiculous theory! I agree it seems a coincidence that she was pregnant - though still yomping through snowy woods at 8 months - now there is no sign of her baby. Actually the timing doesn't work there at all does it? Unless Alice had just had the baby before she escaped. Posting on two threads now because I don't know which one I'm supposed to post on (possibly better not to post at all with a theory as far-fetched as this). Also revising my previous theory that she can't be Sophie due to accent as it has since been revealed Sophie's mum was English - discrepancy raised and dealt with last night.

Yes, maybe that could work, if it is some kind of Paedophile ring. They could have taken Alice to get a scan, bit of a risk though.
That could be why the brigadier's daughter was so snappy to Baptiste when he turned up - she didn't want him digging around.........

Did Sophie go missing before Alice? Is it possible that she ran away and, with help (from army/brigadeer?) befriended and kidnapped Alice so they could kill her and she could assume Alices identity, to get away from her dad and have a 'nice' life? The brigadeer and suicide man could have set it up as they knew how alike the real Alice looked. But where has she been? Held captive herself?

Theories. When they visit Alices grave I think it's the grave of the real Alice and the fake Alice is locked up in the present day.

When Eve says to Sam he never wants to talk about the baby she may be referring to Alice/Sophies baby.

Two episodes in I think this series is much better than the last one. I'm going to go mad waiting for the next episode!

The girl who is playing Alice /Sophie (seen her before in things) has she had the lip filler overdone or does she have duck lips naturally?

It's a very odd look.

I do wonder if she would be so pale and red eyed now after a few weeks out wherever. brilliant make up by the make up girls though. They make her look like I do after a bad night's sleep and before I've put my slap on.

At the beginning of the convo between alice and brig, she says something to the effect that she can see perfectly and always has been able to. So i think he goes out in the garden to see if she recognises him . she makes it clear that she does, hence the brig's turtle story - 'keep your mouth shut'.

Not clear what brig has done, but it seems to be pointing to his having been part of a ring. So i think Daniel finds out in 2014 - diary - and has now gone on the run in fear of his life.

Baffled about the roller coaster photos and what has just happened to prompt baptiste to go off to look for daniel now,

I don't think the girl who came back is Alice or Sophie. I think Alice is still alive but they "think" she's dead? Because whoever came back died in something that the dad and brother were responsible for?

polly she has only been back for a few days and says that she isn't sleeping so she would still look pale and red eyed.
It's interesting that Alice's family seem to have survived 11 years of her being missing relatively unscathed but seen to have fallen apart with 18 months of her return.
