2 years ago a thread on Our Girl was started with these words ^Anyone watching this drivel?
although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

40,000 posts, fireside wrestling contests, fan-fiction, autograph requests, carol concerts, CJ Grand Tours later we are about to watch the last episode of series 2. And that first post is a distant memory.

Ha! Ha! Ha! ilove what a pretty pair we are!

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 19:45

Actually, I thought you were probably eating your dinner.

Love the Judge he's been worth every penny - nice dance.

Ilovelblue · 05/11/2016 19:46

Had a 120 mile round trip to Chester as well!

Tess's outfit is awful but I like the colour.

Ilovelblue · 05/11/2016 19:47

He's pretty good, isn't he?

Ilovelblue · 05/11/2016 19:56

The judges like Louise's Argentine tango. Very impressive.

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 19:58

Great dance from Louise - enjoyed that.

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 20:01

I thought Greg was really good - hope he gets good marks.

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 20:03

Darcey looks a bit Art Deco tonight in my opinion.

Ilovelblue · 05/11/2016 20:04

She does have a variety of looks, that's for sure.

I really like Greg - it's the red hair.. At least the judges like him more than last week.

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 20:07

Ilove little Claudia - it's so hard to look elegant when you are tiny but she's doing really well. They sound so scripted especially AJ

Ilovelblue · 05/11/2016 20:09

Very striking colour of their outfits. I think AJ is only young, isn't he?

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 20:09

That was fast and snappy - loved it!

Ilovelblue · 05/11/2016 20:15

Well that's it for another week. Technically, it should be Ed who goes but if the public like him, it's anyone's guess who will get kicked out.

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 20:18

The marks are very close tonight for everyone. I reckon the bottom two may be Ed and Daisy in which case Ed will go because Daisy is the better dancer. However, if Ed has a big vote then it could be Laura or Ore at the bottom and that would make it awkward - could be goodbye Daisy then. I will check the spoiler later tonight because I like to know.

Thanks for your company ilove.

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 20:20

ooh the trailer for the new WW2 drama with THAT music - in my heart I'm Molly watching the medevac helicopter flying CJ back to Bastion.

Rhubarb01 · 05/11/2016 20:22

Someone round here has got some fireworks that sound like the Somme Offensive - they really are that loud and thumping.

Ilovelblue · 05/11/2016 20:45

It must be bad tonight - I've dozed off again. Definitely the combination of painkillers, a hot water bottle and a cat at the back of my neck and a 120 mile drive thrown in.

I too am in a war zone - but was thinking more of Beirut than the Somme.

It was heaving in Chester today. I normally like going but was losing the will to live. I wanted a photo frame from Debenhams and the crowds were just too much and tipped me over the edge almost!

I have to go into Manchester tomorrow which is unfortunate because two or three big shopping days a year are more than enough for me so two in a weekend may finish me off. I had planned the Chester trip with my friend a few weeks ago though before this Manchester one came up. I'm not driving tomorrow though - think I will go in on the train.

icemistOBE · 05/11/2016 20:59

I was watching but looking after 3 yo at same time and sorting the scared cat out

I didn't know you had a cat ice?

My two cats are fairly relaxed this time but one did disappear under the settee for a while.

icemistOBE · 06/11/2016 06:40

Yep, but he's an OAP in cat years and is very grumpy. This is the first year he's been so bad with the fireworks.

Morning - Rhubarb roll call post - "Here!"
Weather report - blue skies, sunny, frosty and thermometer says about 3 degrees. I'm thinking this is going to be a very cold winter this year snow.

I watched MK on the Jonathan Ross show last night. If you didn't see it they talked briefly about OG and asked her about boot camp etc and the opening scenes with Elvis in the bedroom and she did one of her verbal bloopers which they naturally kept in the show for embarrassment purposes - let's get to the important bits then Jonathan! Then they showed a clip from that new ITV drama Tina and Bobby and talked a little bit about it but to be honest it was all quite cursory. I used to like JR's chat shows on the BBC but he really has dumbed it all down for ITV. GN is so much better. Even though he has a bit of fun he lets the guests talk properly about what they're doing , TV, films music etc. I won't be rushing to watch that again.

More ferrying, shopping that wasn't done yesterday and hopefully cinema today but I am starting to get a cold - sore throat, nose etc great!

Have a good day everyone and hope the sun is shining for you in every way.

Ilovelblue · 06/11/2016 09:13

I'm here too but shortly off to Manchester. Intend coming home straight after lunch. Two days of shops will last me till after Christmas now!

I saw the MK interview as well. Not the best and I did have to laugh about the double entendre re Luke P! Agree with you that GN is far better a chat show host.

Back later. Have a good day everyone.

YorksOAP. Forgot to say yesterday THANKYOU Ice for the super photos you start each new thread with always something to look forward to. Also the great intel you find for us a well deserved OBE given to you months ago.
I think so many of you are very good with intel which makes this thread so good and is the only social media I have dared use!!

user1471547055 · 06/11/2016 09:47

YorksOAP
Very cold and cloudy here so not encouraging us to doggy walk he coped very well last night in what was a veritable war zone. We live on the side of a valley so get the noise from all directions. Could hardly hear the tele at times. Hopefully quieter tonight for Poldark.

Richtea19 · 06/11/2016 09:55

Welcome Yorks.!!

I did watch SCD last night but my phone was out of charge and couldn't be bothered to walk upstairs to charge it! Watch was Tess wearing?? Seriously her stylist needs to be sacked.

I was up early this morning to make Christmas cakes, first one in the oven. I've actually made a large square and plan to cut into into 4 and individually ice the . Such a huge cake mixture though, good for the biceps!

Football, homework, ironing day today.
