Ladies, must share this with you. My friend desperately wanted to go to Cannes today despite me saying there were nicer, less 'false/glitzy' places. Anyway as we arrived, we realised there was some sort of conference/festival type thing on and it turned out to be the TV and media equivalent of the film festival. There was a big poster for Fleabag and we saw a couple of women walking past with Fleabag shopping bags - the kind that they would give out with OR material probably. The seafront was packed with young and trendy media types and they were hogging the best seats in all the cafes too.

That's so brilliant ilove! Did you try and blag one? Did you see any of the cast. Imagine, if BA wasn't so busy messing around promoting the DVD, he could have been there! Or maybe all the interviews were prerecorded and he was there, and you've sneaked him away and not told us which you definitely should have done!

Nickel I am pretty useless when it comes to UK celebs (with notable exceptions!) and this was an international shindig with lots of Japanese and Americans around as well as British and French. I kept my eyes peeled for Ben and Luke but there were literally hundreds of 30 somethings in edgy (usually black) clothes that they all merged into one. We thought we saw Hugh Dennis but that was a couple of hours before we saw the Fleabag stuff and in the end decided it wasn't him anyway.

What we did do though, to my shame, is sit on the Croisette - the seafront - and score the guys walking past to the conference. I can honestly say I've never seen so many gorgeous looking men in the space of 30 mins. You lot are a bad influence on me. I would normally be admiring the architecture.

Ilove, apparently what you saw at Cannes today is MIPCOM, some TV industry trade show thingy.

That's the one pixie. It certainly would explain the age demographic, edgy clothing and good looking folk. I am definitely in the wrong industry.

Just packed up to come home later today. Back to washing and housework tomorrow.

Just caught up on the SAS program on channel 4. Don't think LP would cut the mustard with these guys to be honest...

But hey Pixie this is a beard in that program that is well worth catching (if you haven't already - I'm probably a bit late to this game).

Foxy is more to my tastes, Dancey, I always think Ant is much more of a woof choice what with him being a lego minifig made human.

Talking of beards, whilst idly googling Foxy pics I came across Levison Wood, who outshines them all.

Oh clearly I'm very behind in the times... I do vaguely remember a lego mini figure thing going on, but I'm quite happy to share Ant with Woofy (not a threesome, mind, Woof don't get any ideas)...

On first inspection Leveson Wood does indeed outshine them all... very intriguing... I must goggle him a bit more...

How many other men do you think we've disloyally considered on this thread dedicated to CJ/BA? A very wide range and huge number I suspect...

P.s. thank you for the kind comments on the story ladies but someone please remind me in future not to combine the two worst possible ideas for a story - use restraints if necessary! I promise I won't press charges.

I don't think I'm every likely to grow into a love of beards of any type mooj. When I first met DH (who was clean-shaven) he informed me that he had sported a beard for quite a while a few years earlier and eventually a passport photo was produced. I kid you not this was a beard a la Uncle Albert from Only Fools and Horses or Captain Birdseye - absolutely horrendous! He has been banned ever since.

Actually, there is one teensy- winsey beard I didn't mind - Aramis!! but all others utterly banned.
