It is that time of the year when we get to enjoy watching a bunch of incompetent baffoons try an impress Lord Suranal, whilst we laugh and mock them from our sofa's.

I am reading all of their quotes in this morning's Metro and I already want to slap each and every one of them.

Oops, Gilbert.

The guy on You're Fired talking about Karthick is 100% spot on in his description.

What did he say? No fan of Karthick here, I've stopped watching You've been Fired - in fact I'm slowly losing interest in the actual show purely because of what JosephineMaynard says, feel it's getting worse each year, and for me it's gone past the amusing stage - at one point there were the entertainingly useless ones and the ones that actually could, now it just seems none of them are any use.

Mind you SurAlans many versions of how to say Grainne is entertaining.

Dillite2 · 04/11/2016 09:09

He said that Karthick comes across as a type of person who speaks on themselves only in third person and thinks that he is the best person ever.

Thing is, watching all these idiots isn't even entertaining. It has gone long past that point. Now it's just frustrating. And makes you want to stop watching the show.

ArtfulPuss he wasn't the only one who didn't mark the work. At the time the school was in special measures (it was 3 years ago) and only 18% of kids got 5a*-c. The head was dismissed and about half the teaching staff were either dismissed or made redundant. Guz is a top bloke, in fact he was my DS's favourite teacher, but there was no excuse for the effect on those kids. There were few resits - the majority of kids are from a deprived background and wouldn't have been expected to do well anyway so essentially the whole thing was covered up. It has improved considerably since, and has just come out of special measures.

Two unrelated observations: when the tasks are being filmed, the weather seems spring or summer like, but when each sacked contestant walks to the black cab they are done up for Arctic conditions. I read somewhere that all the walks of shame are filmed at the same time.

The other is that the contestants must be chosen for their twat value, for want of a better expression. They all claim to have their own businesses and to excel at what they do, but they make the most outrageous errors. It must be the case that serious business propositions would be nerdy and boring and would probably refuse to be treated the way Sir Alan talks to them. On the other hand, he is sharp enough not to want to invest £250K in complete idiots. Something tells me it's not his £250K, or perhaps not all his.

I think they film everyone's departures before the process starts. They are clearly selected for their bs abilities not intelligence or social skills. Anyone can start a business and most fold within a short time, it is a pretty meaningless measure of "success".

Appalling about JD and the marking.

HarryPottersMagicWand · 04/11/2016 22:34

Yes I've read before that all the exits are filmed at the same time which is why you can't see their clothes. I noticed Natalie had different make up in the taxi to the boardroom.

The boardroom is also a TV studio and the receptionist is an actress Grin.

HarryPottersMagicWand · 04/11/2016 22:35

Oh and I'd also like Dara to come back to You're Fired and Romesh to be on the panel each week like he was last series.

Hello, lurker here! Paul is a bully, he is so aggressive I would hate to work with him. I had a good chuckle at # concern!

Alana is shooting herself in the foot with her attitude I think she is actually quite good. Cheer the fuck up love!

Unicorn1981 · 05/11/2016 11:30

And his office is on some industrial estate in Essex or somewhere not nestled amongst the London skyscrapers!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/11/2016 07:36

Paul is so aggressive . He's going to have a full blown toddler tantrum at some point.

dillite · 10/11/2016 21:01

dillite · 10/11/2016 21:10
