It is that time of the year when we get to enjoy watching a bunch of incompetent baffoons try an impress Lord Suranal, whilst we laugh and mock them from our sofa's.

I am reading all of their quotes in this morning's Metro and I already want to slap each and every one of them.

Anyone know the waltz that was played throughout last night's episode, pretty sure it's a Strauss one but not sure which one. Cheers!

Florathefern · 07/10/2016 15:35

I'm sure the selection of candidates is like the GBBO. Not the best candidates who applied but each chosen candidate fits a certain demographic and has entertainment value.

I thought Alan Sugar was very rude calling Oliver? the Cumberland distributor / sausage man.

TartanTrousers · 07/10/2016 16:01

Team Nebula were terrible! I'm surprised that PM didn't bring back squeaky girl for selling the chair for £17.50 (never learn the names till much later on).

Can't stand when people plead, I cringe for them.

I know some of the contestants are quite young and probably don't have much work experience but the way they carry on is ridiculous. All screechy and whingy and pointing fingers. Bleurgh.

FlameGrower · 07/10/2016 16:04

I felt a stab of actual pain when that dimwit sold the chair for £17.50. Anyone with half a brain cell knows the mid century modern look is very much in vogue.

FlameGrower · 07/10/2016 16:05

I'm going to be brave and call the series winner as Sofiane. He seemed like the only one with a bit of gumption.

Roussette · 07/10/2016 16:06

Yes this is going to be pure pleasure for this series for me....

I wish there could be another 'be a guest presenter on QVC' episode. It only happened once and it was my most favourite episode. No doubt it was a bit of commercial suicide for QVC though...

For all those that missed it...

50seconds onwards still makes me choke on my tea!

FlameGrower · 07/10/2016 16:09

Oh that's one of the best ones Rousettes, so hilarious! And it was back when the show wasn't just full of aggressive TV wannabees.

The wolf fleece is my favourite clip. Still makes me laugh.

TartanTrousers · 07/10/2016 16:18

It wasn't just the cheap prices they were giving things away at, it was also how happy and excited they were about it. Talk about clueless?! Those green vases clearly looked expensive (replica Tiffany?) and yet they were flogged for just £15. No wonder the customers were happy.

Roussette · 07/10/2016 16:49

Great clip Flame!

She's done pretty well for herself - TV presenter and wasn't she on Strictly?

vickibee · 07/10/2016 17:05

Never heard Courtney for a male name .?

They are so full of themselves it makes you cringe. Do people really have such a high opinion of themselves. Must be where I go wrong in life

cricketballs · 07/10/2016 17:37

I run every year a first impression challenge at school (teacher business!) Last year no one got the winner, but every group picked different people for the winner and qst to be fired. This year 5 groups have gone for Samuel to win and crazy cat woman to be 1st fired, the other 2 groups have gone for Paul to win and the crazy one to be first fired (we use the audition videos). When I asked them why so many went for Samuel....watch the beginning of his audition tape (2 of the groups who picked him are 6th formers....God help me!)

Roussette · 07/10/2016 18:37

What a great exercise for school cricket !

wish I'd had something even remotely as interesting as that at school

Tigresswoods · 07/10/2016 22:30

FlameGrower thank you thank you thank you for posting that video. I'm giggling along with their laughter. Absolutely priceless.

I remember when that was on & I'd never seen one of those jackets in real life. Next they were on every High Street in the country. Why?!

228agreenend · 07/10/2016 22:34

Did anyone see the BBC 2 show? I thought the fired candidate came across really well, one of the best fired candidates ever.

228agreenend · 07/10/2016 22:36

www.itv.com/news/update/2015-08-06/stuart-baggs-died-as-a-result-of-asthma-police-say/

As an aside, it's a year since Stuart Baggs dies at the young age of 27. He had such potential.

NoelHeadbands · 07/10/2016 22:43

RIP Stuart Baggs The Brandâ„¢

I've said this before, but when he was crucified by Claude in the interviews I sided with Baggsy. I genuinely could see his point.

Simon screwing the legs on QVC, and the wolf fleece were cry with laughter moments for me. I also got immensely tickled in the advert challenge (dance in your pants!) episode when they used the tag line "provides one of your three a day"

228agreenend · 07/10/2016 22:45

Wolf fleece is a classic. Whenever I see one in real life, I think of The Apprentice.

Dillite2 · 07/10/2016 23:11

O. M. G. I NEED that wolf fleece in my life. NEED IT!

Nebula??????? I know what it is, but it still sounds like an STD.

Shock
Dillite2 · 08/10/2016 13:50

Sorry nebulae but it's for the best really

interstellarcloudofdust · 08/10/2016 15:58

Hmmm ^^...not quite as catchy but at least I won't be mistaken for a disease. Or multiple diseases to be precise.

DiegeticMuch · 08/10/2016 16:22

Lord Sugar will like Sofiane I think.

CatchingBabies · 08/10/2016 21:36

Anyone know what lipstick Alana was wearing? In love with the colour!

dillite · 11/10/2016 11:57

Do you all remember James Hill from 2014? Well, I just saw some very NSFW gifs of him and thought I would let you all know, as I shouldn't be left alone to knowing that.

Florathefern · 11/10/2016 12:04

Errr.... what does NSFW gifs mean?
