Julie Walters is amazing as ever.

The daughter is very odd, did she suggest that he injured someone really badly? He is very dodgy.

Gosh, it's good, isn't it? Robbie Coltrane and Julie Walters both such brilliant actors. But I don't believe the police officer would have loudly announced the allegation of rape on their doorstep.

Oh that was gritty! I think I might have to watch it again, I reckon I missed some bits of dialogue

That was very very powerful and very brave subject for the actors who are themselves (as RC & JW) "National Treasures"

I also thought the camera direction was very good and different

I really think it is going to be interesting how our emotions change thru the 4 episodes

I think Dee might have been describing a mixture of a dream & RL but not sure cos of her memory loss

I think RC character is dark but not sure if he is totally guilty ATM

Enjoyed this tonight. Agree don't think the copper would have loudly announced the allegation on the doorstop, and she seemed far too chirpy and animated in the interview. Almost like she was doing a lighthearted daytime tv show.

Yes, 4, once weekly. I loved it. I feel so sorry for poor Cliff Richard who had to put up with all of this and was entirely innocent.

Really powerful performances. Interested to see how the story develops.

Watching it again on 4 + 1 now to check out anything I missed

I think it's about celebrities crossing the line. Whose line is it, when does it get crossed, and who cares and ultimately makes that moral judgement?

Who claims to be moral but turns a blind eye when it's in their interest to do so?

Who simply doesn't know what to do or say?

The fucked up daughter is so tragic.

'Twas very dark and edgy. Will prob give it one more week but can't say am hooked. Great acting though.

Enjoyed it but found all the arty shots towards the end a bit annoying. And surely no one would choose that doorbell, like nails on a blackboard.

The 'door' and 'hallway' were very well cast - studio or real? In fact the house was very interesting altogether - I wonder if it was an amalgamation or all one thing.

I agree - I got such a sense of dread every time that doorbell rang!

I am not handling Robbie Coltrane being a bad guy at all well. Even if he didn't do what he has been accused of, the way he is treating lovely Julie Walters is horrible.

He does come across as a horrible character mintthins. We know for sure that he's a liar and a cheat, and vain and insecure as well. There was something very unsettling about the scene with his daughter, and his reaction when she described her dream where he had been sexually inappropriate with her. Lots more to be revealed clearly. Thought all the acting was wonderful.
