OK, question. The DC and I are watching the wrestling. Twice now, towards the end, someone on the sidelines has chucked a toy mascot at the wrestlers. Which the ref then picks up, looks around, and then someone wins.

Is the mascot chucking part of the match? It's had us in stitches!

So I googled, and apparently it's to challenge a decision. Usually they use a flag to get the attention of the ref.

I love the mascot thing though- very funny.

I heard that Hudson-Smith moved towards the incoming runners and that's why they were disqualified.

I remember the pentathalon showjumping frim London 2012. It was like watching a car crash in slow motion, but crazier and more unpredictable.

Tom is currently way down in 17th (of 18?) having had a poor second dive. Early days though, think they get 6 dives like the pre-lims?

Well that last dive was really not great. From top to bottom overnight- it's a bit of a worry. Is he injured?

You have to throw a 'soft object' into the ring. Traditionally a towel, hence the saying, but in the Olympics it's often been a soft toy.
