So nice to see his sensitivity and emotional maturity has been passed on to the next generation.

anne it's the same face!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 25/08/2016 20:18

Middle - I know, they are twins! I nearly fell off the sofa when he came on screen!

Hairspray - It looks remarkably like the mood ring my SIL bought for DD at the fair!

How the hell did Madison get this job?! I'm pretty sure I could do better. And that singing?? It sounded like a little girl. Absolutely awful.

As an atheist, I'm finding the Paige/Jack/religion storyline quite offensive... It screams of taking the piss and I'm uncomfortable with it

MiddleClassProblem · 25/08/2016 21:35

Paige will be a nun by mid September

MagpieCursedTea · 26/08/2016 08:13

I wasn't keen on Ellie because of how she treated Piper, but that line to Paige about Jack was brilliant. My Paige rage well overshadows my dislike of Ellie.
Even if Jack did leave the church, he'd be much better suited to Amy!

woodhill · 26/08/2016 18:04

The irony of Ellie not liking horses. Ned is back 5 minutes. Never any build up to relationships.

mrswhiplington · 26/08/2016 20:02

Noticed the new credits at beginning today. No sign of Madison, hopefully she'll disappear soon and take that awful singing voice with her. Ellie looks set to stay though. That lock of hair thing was creepy. Why not just keep a nice photo of someone in your wallet.[sceptical]

mrswhiplington · 26/08/2016 20:07

Meant to type Hmm, been on the wine.Grin

prettybird · 26/08/2016 21:40

I love Hmm the way that in Neighbours, when people are the victims of illegal activity, they never think to go to the Police Hmm

It's such a shame that they don't know a friendly, neighbourhood cop... Wink

MagpieCursedTea · 27/08/2016 09:33

I think it's because Therese doesn't want the whole camera thing to get out, so if she involves the police there's a chance of everyone finding out.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/08/2016 13:35

I though Aaron had a social media "company" not a talent company...

ThatsMyStapler · 27/08/2016 14:05

i'd say its a good job he doesnt have a talent company, as he cant spot no-talent....

Ellie is too much of a bunny boiler, playing hard to get games with Ned (i would have told her to fuck off to the far side if she tried that shit with me), going through his wallet, trying to match the hair to Lauren
Hopefully they will calm her down soon as shes too caricature at present.

Paige - even though shes not been around much this week, still annoys me - why is she getting pissy with Ellie for messing around with Tyler, he's not her boyfriend or anything (just a friend with benefits)
I hate Paige (there I've said it)

Madison - please please please fuck off back to where ever you came from, such a shame they used someone who cant act to be the child of Scott and Charlene - neighbours! time for a head-swap!!

MiddleClassProblem · 27/08/2016 14:20

Madison has just been hired to be trendy and she's a very well known vlogger apparently. I just looked her up and saw and old video of her and Angus! Saying they were best friends. They must have shared and acting coach for their stints...

Having said that looking at an old one she seems to have... A personality! Who knew?

GwendolynPost · 28/08/2016 21:55

My theory regarding the creepy lock of hair. Is it possible that Ned has a secret child?

Would explain the hazy past and lots of people keep locks of hair from their children's first haircut.

Over infested obviously!

MagpieCursedTea · 28/08/2016 22:23

That crossed my mind too, but would he have thrown it away so easily?

MiddleClassProblem · 28/08/2016 23:54

I thought kid too

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/08/2016 10:36

Oh Gwendolyn that is a very good theory!

Ugh- as I feared, the way they have dealt with the Xanthe / Cooper storyline has been despicable. I know Neighbours is generally pretty mild stuff, and quite upbeat for a soap, but they really haven't given it the gravitas it deserves... And now Xanthe is Ok with it all as long as Cooper goes to counselling?!?! Ridiculous X

Number4OnTheWay · 31/08/2016 17:39

What!? (I'm camping so have a few days to catch up on) that's so stupid, I you're going to do a storyline at least do it properly. What was the point of writing that in?!
Was she actually raped or just attacked do we know? Are they going to write in a pregnancy storyline maybe?

prettybird · 31/08/2016 17:48

She wasn't actually raped: he just initially didn't want to take No for an answer (very similar to the Therese story line). So still assault - probably even sexual assault ( Xanthe said he tried to kiss her even though she didn't want him to) but not rape.

MiddleClassProblem · 31/08/2016 19:26

Neighbours is a long way off being ready to cover a rape story line. It's very PG, even taking about a forced kiss has been through mostly hinting other than the one off clarification from Xanthe. They cover most violence off screen too. Even Tomato's vengeance from Nate was just bruises after. I'm not even sure if we have ever seen blood... Have we? We must of at some point, a nose bleed, a scratch on the forehead? Or is it just the mark afterwards?

GwendolynPost · 31/08/2016 21:37

So the police send the perpetrator of a sexual assault round to the victims house to have a chat about it???

I know that the Erinsborough police force is mostly staffed by one man but I think some retraining is in order.

MiddleClassProblem · 31/08/2016 22:21

Well as long as he apologised... Hmm Confused

I do love it's quaintness most of the time but that is shady

MagpieCursedTea · 31/08/2016 22:36

I'm glad it's not just me that was horrified by how Neighbours handled it! The fact he's just allowed to continue going to school as well! Ugh! Great message!

There was blood in the Lassisters explosion but it was a late night episode (in the U.K. anyway, I don't think Australia got the late night bits).

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/08/2016 22:43

Really annoyed that they turned Cooper into the victim.
