Xanthe is getting better, she was awful at first, but they've done what they normally do with long timers, and mellowed her a bit and made her less cartoony

Not sure snake guy has been hired by Belinda - but has been pointed in Steph's way by Belinda, either deliberately or by accident.

Remember Belinda was a psychiatric nurse, so snake guy could be a disturbed former patient.

Don't think** Madison is going to be in it much longer - the actress obviously has a singing career planned just as well as she sure as hell can't act

saw the preview today showing Madison singing (no, screeching would be a better word) - she is not in the new credits so I assume she will pursue her singing career elsewhere

Ha DH turned to me and said 'that didn't sound good did it?'

Dh's comment was, "OMG, she can't sing, can she ".

I don't think snake guy has been hired by Belinda I think he's either a controlling ex who was dumped when Belinda fell for Steph or just a crazy obsessive stalker type who believes Belinda will love him back if Steph is out the picture

Is anyone else fed up of Ellie? She's so over the top, and what was all that with the miscarriage thing?

Neighbours does seem to be dragging out story lines a bit better than it used to, but still gets rid of characters in one episode. I can miss and week and 3 characters have left and I have no clue what's going on .

But then I always have MN to ask

Ellie's an awful character. The way she spoke to Paige in front of the others was really nasty, I couldn't believe no-one called her on it! Ditto her behaviour towards Piper. Does she have some ancient grudge against the Willis family or something? I thought they'd left long before she was in it before.

I quite like Ellie . Mainly because she's a bit different and not as saccharine as a lot of the characters.

I think Ellie is incredibly unprofessional as a teacher. Jumping to conclusions and bearing a grudge against Piper but worse, discussing, by name, a student's pastoral care problems.

Another Neighbours addict here - despite how appalling it is

I have no religious persuasion in RL, but what the hell are the writers doing with Paige and Jack?!?!?! Even I'm getting mildly offended at the way she's behaving - trying to teeeeease him away from the church is a bonkers way to deal with the storyline, and is offensive on so many levels. And her suddenly taking an interest in going to church? Is he THAT stupid that he doesn't see what she's up to?

The mint-eating snake guy - I don't get it - Steph was there when he got rid of one of the snakes, wasn't she? So how come she doesn't know/recognise him?

Brad - what a prat. He turns my stomach, yet essentially is a handsome, attractive man - amazing how being a total drip of a character makes him so physically unattractive.

Xanthe - I think they're (so far) dealing with the assault storyline well. At first I thought Ellie was going to disbelieve her - which I guess she sort of did - but no, it has shown nicely how adults in a position of trust/authority should be taking these things seriously, and looking into it all, despite how "out of character" it was for the boy. PS What actually did
happen? I assume it he forced himself on her, but she managed to get away?
And Madison - OMG, there is nothing I can say that would convey how much I hate her. The last time I felt like this was when Kate was still alive.

YES!! Madison is the new Kate. And can't the Neighbours writers come up with a different storyline - the 'Ramsay Street resident turns out to be brilliant singer and performer, and wows them at the Waterhole' is so old it has grey whiskers, a zimmer frame and a pension!!

I agree about Ellie too, prettybird - so unprofessional.

I think Xanthe's assault is going to have been filmed on the secret footage that was sent to Paul.

I'm repeating myself but I really like Ellie. She is not wholly perfect or wholly evil which makes her a real person. She's a bit of a bitch and a bit of a flirt (which she admits to) but she saved Nell from the snake and has helped Xanthe. She's one of my favourite characters. In real life I think she'd need someone a bit brighter than the men on offer - Ned looks constantly confused.

I also find the Paige/Jack story offensive. I'm not a Catholic but I respect that Jack has made vows as a priest. It is normal for a priest to feel temptation and to have to deal with it. Paige the trollop is clearly still after him and I think Jack would handle that better by asking someone else to spiritually counsel her if that is what she supposedly wants from her church attendance.

I need to get a life. I'm writing like this is real!

I'm just catching up with the last 2 days but reckon the snake guy in the confessional referring to a lady "being in love with some she can't have" is referring to Belinda being in love with Steph and actually trying to off Steph to have Belinda

Also Madison is shit on so many levels, she has zero expressions, awkward physicality and her voice has no emotions. She's like a cardboard cut out

Its frustrating me so much at the moment. A couple of times I've popped it on catch-up and completely forgotten I'm watching it and gone to do something else. That's how boring it is at the moment. Just tie some storylines up already! Why was Ellie drunk without drinking? Will Paul ever get with Therese? Can we just lock up snake guy? Who and why is doing the secret filming?

Oh my word! That nasal whining! That was awful!

Watching a 1982 TOTP on BBC4 and I have discovered who Madison reminds me of. And I'm not referring to Cheryl Baker.
