Hello everyone! I think it's the first time I posted since before I went on holiday (no wifi there, but it does me good to go cold turkey!). Since I got back I've had a lot on, and I'm not even back at work properly yet! My mum has been to stay for her annual visit and every time I open the laptop or iPad (even for doing proper admin) there's a barbed comment about me spending a lot of time on them!

I'm very envious of ice and rich and anyone else who went last night. We need more details! I'm really looking forward to the new series. I casually dropped it into conversation with Mr Frank and he was really enthusiastic too (if only he knew why I'm so keen). Fleabag has whetted my appetite for seeing more of a certain actor - hopefully a lot more!!

Kel - good luck with your twins starting school. I remember when mine started - all around me mums were upset and emotional and I couldn't keep the stupid grin off my face. Of course I had loved being at home with them but it was good to have more time to myself after many years with small children at home.

Evening, am still on cloud nine.

I'll can't wait for you all to watch the 1st episode next week. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to discuss it all on here.

In the last series, it took me until the end of episode 2 before I got into it. Hoping we hit the ground running with this one.

moojangles · 02/09/2016 19:44

Wow, this working malarkey is a bit tricky.
kezia you really have had an awful lot on haven't you xx
Welcome back always
Looking forward to Weds, DH will be away so no distractions! Just got to avoid tv mags etc until then as I am sticking to my no spoiler approach.
ice assume you'll be watching from your cloud still
Happy Friday folks

icemistOBE · 02/09/2016 20:25

Currently watching bake off ... Bedtime viewing for my littlies (their choice)... So funny, they are debating who is who, who they think should be voted off, and their opinion as to which gingerbread house is the best - and why! Can't decide if they are really interested or using it as a bedtime delaying tactic. Although scarily they already know who everyone is (more than I do!)

MaddieMoo82 · 02/09/2016 20:41

I watched it today nickel too and really enjoyed it. Love that your kids watch it too Smile

KellyHb · 02/09/2016 20:49

Evening all

Wow the pics looked brill from last night. BA looking pretty hot too. I bet ice and the others who met him definitely haven't come down off cloud nine...

I really liked the jacket he was wearing too Smile

So tired as yet again had kids out and about all day today. Literally falling asleep as I'm writing this.

Hi always Smile I probably will have a relax once they're settled in and I will not spend my time just eating chocolate

pixieg1rl · 02/09/2016 21:10

I'm with you mooj, I'm not a magazine reader so I've avoided spoilers so far. I think I might go to ground until Wednesday though, having come across something the other day that kind of made me feel a bit disappointed in the story already.

Nickel45 · 02/09/2016 21:20

Me too ... I want to wait and see what happens, although it's been difficult avoiding spoilers, but didn't even walk down the mag aisle this week, just in case I was tempted to look! (Although spent £20 on sale back to school stationary ... You can never have too much stationary or so I keep telling myself ) by going the other way!

moojangles · 02/09/2016 21:26

nickel I am going into town tomorrow for the sole purpose of treating myself to new highlighter pens

Nickel45 · 02/09/2016 21:50

:) I Ilike that sort of shopping trip mooj glad it's not just me

icemistOBE · 02/09/2016 22:04

I got carried away on asda last week and got a multi- pack of coloured ink gel pens, a file for work, and desk tidy. I don't actually need any of those as we get them at work. So hard to resist. I nearly bought a backpack but stopped myself Blush

pixie / nickel I think I have been almost the opposite of you over any spoilers/magazines etc. Anyone who knows me well knows I normally watch very little on television during the summer and so would be highly amused to hear that I couldn't help peeping at the TV Times on Tuesday. My Bailbrook House friend, who seriously is a telly addict, has dropped what she thought were little snippets of info about OG (probably gleaned from her favourite Hello! or OK! magazines), only to find out I already knew. No prizes for guessing how I knew but she has no idea about MN. She even thought she was telling me something fresh when she said it would be shown on 7 September. Hahahaha.

Ilovelblue · 02/09/2016 22:30

Oooooh, I love stationary. I have always managed to make sure I order the stationary for work. Notebooks, pens, paper.... love it all.

Richtea19 · 02/09/2016 23:23

I had a mass stationery binge today too! I have to buy in bulk because my children loose everything (where can it possibly go?) maybe the same place as the lost PE kits. DH lost a cello before... Turned up at the bus depot.

fortunately 3 for 2 in WHSmiths on most items. Has anyone seen the kikki K web site? Loads of stationery, I've never bought as too expensive but love looking!

MaddieMoo82 · 03/09/2016 08:07

Ooh goodness rich I want to buy lots of things fro that website now. Another stationery lover here too! Went to uni as a mature student and pretty stationery is what got me through the 3 years I think!!! Smile
Have a good day all. Workies for me but weather looks like it's gonna be rubbish anyway!

kuiakaituhi · 03/09/2016 08:16

Hi everyone. Am dropping out for awhile till we get new series in the Antipodes!! All i want to know is "Where's Molly"? can some kind soul give me that answer next week without giving away the storyline too much.
I will finish the FF story I'm halfway through. though I think the interest might have waned with the new series.

Am consoling myself binge watching "Vikings". halway through Series 4. I think its as good as Game of Thrones, which I love. Adios, all, till our stingy NZBC buys the new seies or my DVDs turn up from Amazon in november

moojangles · 03/09/2016 08:24

Off to Smiths I go. kuia that seems like a good idea but my interest in your ff certainly not diminished. Looks set to be rubbish here later which us a real shame as it's our Families Day today. Have a good day

cjwoofwoof · 03/09/2016 08:50

Morning! I see I haven't missed much......NOT!!! What the...

I didn't realise some of you lucky goats actually SAW the sockless brogues, and what's more took pics! I'm impressed with your fortitude that you didn't mention BAs fashion faux pas's to his face when you got the chance, but well done on being brilliant and holding it together so to speak. I feel like the old woman who lived in a shoe as I'm well out of the loop with you lot "in the know", sigh.

Sadly nick I fear the jackets have degenerated from diahorrea to cow pat green but the face and body within more than makes up for it Ooh ice you're a lucky girl seeing the first episode already. I'm looking forward to next week from tonight starting with Strictly, despite the angst of back to school.

kuia it's a fond au revoir while you toddle off for a bit and avoid the spoilers. At least we get to enjoy the rest of your ff writing as you'll have nothing else to do I'm sure Grin Hopefully you'll get a job lot of OG and Poldark together to keep your ovaries jangling in 2017 Grin Grin

Ilovelblue · 03/09/2016 09:17

woof there's a Facebook Live session with MK, BA etc on iPlayer now it doesn't give much away but you get to admire BA as himself not as CJ. I did find it on Facebook on Thurs evening but it's on iPlayer now so even easier. The prequel is also worth a viewing or three and basically sets the scene for MK's love interest with Elvis Harte.

Off to a food festival today and the forecast is for very heavy rain.

pixieg1rl · 03/09/2016 09:40

Leaving lovely Cornwall this morning, then a 6,

pixieg1rl · 03/09/2016 09:43

Sorry, child trod on my toe and I pressed post. Suffice to say it's going to be a long day putting up with the traffic and the other woman in our relationship aka the sat nav who MrP will follow to the literal ends of the earth instead of me and a map.

Rhubarb01 · 03/09/2016 10:22

Morning, well its been all go hasn't it? Busy exciting times. Sorry you feel you need to do a retreat for a while Kuia but quite understandable. I think our ramblings would completely ruin any suspense for you. Hope the DVD arrives promptly for you when it's released and then you can come back to the fold and ramble with us.

I saw the FB live chat which was interesting. I think BA made one little comment about CJ which I found curious - so will wait to see what happens. I felt a bit sorry for them scrolling through all the comments to find sensible questions to answer as having looked at a few that were posted many seemed to want to know "Where's Molly?" or were asking BA to marry them! Cringey!

Stationary - hmm - have to avoid Paperchase like the plague - how to spend a fortune in five minutes.

I watched the new versions of 'Goodnight Sweetheart' and 'Young Hyacinth' last night and have to say that I really enjoyed the former - I reckon they've left it open for a new series. All the original cast in it and it did make me laugh . From what I've seen there was quite a bit of praise for 'Young Hyacinth' as the actress did a brilliant job of portraying all Hyacinth Bucket's mannerisms. I wasn't quite so sure as I found it a bit wearing but I think it was well done. I didn't watch the 'Porridge' or 'Are you being served' versions as I think the first one was just brilliant as it was and that still makes me laugh. As for 'Are you being served' I think it was well past it's sell by date (no pun) several series before it originally ended. I've also been watching 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads' recently and I have to say that despite it being broadcast in 1972 and, putting fashion and some un PC refs aside, the writing was brilliant and the relationship between Bob and Terry is great - you just have to listen to everything they say and the way they do it. Mind you there's no chance of them getting back together for a pensioner's version as I heard that the actors don't speak to each other any more.

Anyone up for a SCD chat this evening as it's the launch show at 6.50pm? Might be interesting to guess who's partnered with who and who's pretending to look thrilled at their pairing. What with 'Poldark' tomorrow (come back to us orph we need you), 'Victoria' (Albert's about to make an appearance - Tom Hughes - mind you I've been appreciating Rufus Sewell as well) and last but definitely most importantly OG on Weds it's going to be mega viewing week!

Bit of a busy day today so I'll be back this evening if anyone wants to join in - but promise not to do a monologue if I'm on my own Grin.

Heligirl79 · 03/09/2016 11:41

Hi all.

Ice you are so lucky seeing episode 1 already, really looking forward to Wednesday. I have watched the pre-equal a few times, which was good, left you wondering what happened between them, and the FB live chat, they were really good at not giving too much away. Saw today that TG is already looking at doing a 3rd series.

I watched Young Hyacinth last night as well Rhu and I thought the actress playing her portrayed Hyacinths mannerisms very well. Hoping to watch strictly tonight, will have to get the kids ready for bed quickly.

Hope your twins enjoy they first day at school kelly, I'm sure they will be fine. My DD starts on the 12th. I'm more worried about her starting than I was when my twins started, but I think that was because they had each other, a lot of her friends from nursery are going to the same school though and she can't wait to start, so I'm sure she will be fine.

Safe trip home Pix.

I'm off to a BBQ over at a little airfield near ours, so I'm hoping the rain stays away.

Have a nice Saturday all.
