Yes, I think Will Young could also do very well and he has stage and film experience and lots of musicality. It could turn out to be an interesting series but I hope no one peaks too early - it's nice to see the dark horses emerging - talking of which - where is your nemesis orph - come back to us!

We all have our guilty maternity leave viewing mads. Mine was Gilmore Girls, my friend's was Deal or No Deal.

I have no idea who most people are on SCD and to be honest I don't think I've been bothered to look at the full line up. DS and I are just looking forward to it starting.

I had to clear room on the tv box (bye bye MrP's F1 and Rugby; touch Bluestone and you die) to make sure I had enough space for GBBO/OG/Poldark/SCD.

I've only recently discovered Judge Rinder by accident on daytime afternoon TV Rhu whilst flicking through for Olympic stuff and he's hilarious! Helped I think by the gormless and often totally naive defendants who don't realise they're being ridiculed, but notwithstanding the contrived script, he's very funny and should do well on SCD if he "goes for it". I'm just hopeful Ed Balls lives up to his name and messes it up on Show 1, eew he's such a smarmy pants.

Ditto to orphs return - I'm sure she's had the leg tag and night-time curfew removed long since so there's no excuse now for her not coming back to us in time for OG2

Morning, back to work today. Yesterday was hard with my mum. She had written down hymns and song she wants at her funeral (incase treatment has not worked) also had to ring her solicitor as she wanted to change her will slightly. I had to be strong but it really was hard, but mum appreciated the support.

Have to say, having the OG world has been a god send, keeping my mind off things and having a laugh.

I know what you mean about OG being a godsend. My Mum had died earlier that year when it came out and it was a form of escapism for me too. It would have been her birthday today as well.

Just been to hang the laundry out, it's scorching already. I hope everyone in an office has air conditioning. I'll be in the paddling pool most of the day at this rate

Oh interesting ice thanks for that. I'm confused is it for the diehard ourgirl fans or everyone? How will people who haven't watched it know about the prequel? The bbc confuse me sometimes!!!

I think this is the way of things these days mads (I remember when there were only 3 channels and the radio times cost you thruppence). 'Easter Eggs' I think they call them, as opposed to dog eggs which aren't such a treat . I assume the GL/EH back story is standalone and you could watch S2 without seeing this and still understand what is being alluded to.

Oh ok cheers pix wasn't sure if I was missing something (am feeling pretty ancient and tired tonight). Don't get me wrong either the more OG the better too!!
