I did notice that the French cyclist in the omnium was following the tradition of the French rugby team. The Lycra left nothing to the imagination hurrah .

Oh friend has just said they are going to greenman festival this weekend. Wonder if we will get a repeat performance of last year and get to see a certain BA in wellies.

Evening all, Back home now and the first load of washing done. It was a pretty good journey until we were about 70 miles from home when there were roadworks, two accidents, a lorry broken down.... you name it! I was pretty tired when I pulled into my driveway. Nickel I gave you a wave as we came up the M40, forgot you wouldn't be there!

What's this about the Green Man Festival maddie? Is it something I should remember? Especially BA in wellies?????????

I watched episode 4 of Fleabag tonight. In a strange sort of way, I'm quite enjoying it, even though there was no sign of BA in it. I have to say though I wouldn't even have considered watching it had BA not been in the first couple of episodes.

Ooh nick you have picked a good week for a staycation - the weather is indeed marvellous isn't it? My DH is exactly the same on holiday - aah yes, I deserve a break whilst you can carry on doing what you do for the other 360 days of the year...

Such is the glorious sunshine, I've even spent the odd 10 mins in my garden with the machete, such are my green fingered skills. Uncovered the odd bike and shopping trolley, but no flowers or green grass just yet

Ditto to the French Lycra, pix enhanced by the rips and tears from falling earlier in the race resulting in yet more very welcome muscle bulge

Oops, forgot it was the Italian cyclist with the extra exposed flesh who fell but still won, pix tsk tsk, France, Italy who cares? A European bulge is a welcome bulge except Bradley Wiggins ugh

woof Bradley Wiggins lives about 5 miles from me - he's a local celebrity - but suffice to say he doesn't float my boat in the way that BA does.

I wonder if CJ is watching his ex-wife at the Olympics? Thought she was a bit too supercool to be a sprint cyclist!!
Just watched our Lisa Carrington win the kayak sprint,she's a lovely young woman, top of her game.

I think tennis players should embrace the Lycra all-in-one catsuit. I'd pay good money to see del Potro in that getup but not Andy Murray especially when lunging with his forehand

I was going to say you wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crisps pixie. Amounts to the same thing I guess!

Been busy with washing, ironing, tidying the garden, supermarket shopping etc. A guy who lives in the next road and who has four big plum trees which he does nothing with had told my friend/neighbour on Sunday that the plums were ready for picking so we went round tonight with a pair of ladders and my big loppers as the best plums are always just out of reach. He's a very odd chap - he used to work at the same company as me and he's one of those you would never really know properly. Very shy, painfully so and he must be 60 or so now and a bit of a hermit. The sort in fact that if he died, he could be dead for weeks before anyone noticed.

Anyway, he wasn't there when we went round so we just started picking the plums - my friend held the ladders whilst I used the loppers to cut some of the branches. He reappeared just as we were finishing and he said something about a tree growing in his gutter! There was a sycamore tree about 8 inches tall - we told him to get rid of it as it would block the gutter. My friend put the ladders up against the wall and honestly, he was going to let her go up and pull the seedling out! Of course, she made him do it himself and the roots on it must have been at least a foot long. We laughed about it afterwards! I had the same sort of issue a couple of years ago when I was using my pruning saw on one of the branches and he didn't even think about holding the ladder for me!

I'm beginning to suspect that the Polish guy in the keirin is orph in one of her less successful disguises

DH has a day off as he has a red letter day fast car driving experience booked, it was a gift from his birthday. Although he has pulled a muscle in his groin.... And doesn't want to risk doing it. No cancellation policy so my BIL is doing it instead. Bloody typical!

Have a lovey day everyone. Just seen its supposed to be raining down here for the next few days, just as well we've spent all week on the beach already. Taking the kids on to Cornwall tomorrow for a few days, so hoping for some more beach time down there - 3 days trying to entertain them in a travelodge room does not sound like a holiday to me! unlike 3 days in a travelodge room with CJ, now that I could do!

Must have eaten something dodgy last night, been up since about 3 feeling sick, then DS wet the bed about 4. I've slogged into work though because I've got too much to do and only 2 short days left before I go on leave. We're moving office when I'm off so I've been packing up. I'm likely to move office again (yet another restructure) in November. That will make 3 times this year.

Good luck with the office move pix. DH moved office the same week we moved house I don't think he's recovered from the trauma yet

Planning to watch fleabag tonight if I can pack the kids off to bed at a decent time. Schools started back up here this week, so they are both knackered at least!
