Nice pictures ilove. Must try to visit one day. I've watched The Imitation Game and also read/watched Enigma by Robert Harris which is good at giving a feel for the atmosphere of the place.

Had a look at that article ice. I've got to say I didn't really understand what it was about as it sounds quite obscure - might just be me. I assume BA is playing the singer?

icemistOBE · 09/08/2016 19:09

Yeah, not sure if he's the composer or Gershwin. As per usual nothing on his cv

Evening all. Smile

Ooh ice interesting part Mr A has there?! Makes sense for all the weird stuff he has been instagraming recently. He looks very slim in that picture. Not sure it explains the weird yellow shirt and oddly dyed hair though!!
The photos of Bletchley look fab ilove! So glad you had a good day was thinking about you earlier and wondering if you were enjoying it. Wish I lived closer. Safe travels tomorrow.
Enjoying all the swimming/waterside stories. I must I'm a bit of a lover of stuff like that... Water slides, roller coasters, bungee jumping (just the once and never again). I did regret one particularly high speed water slide in Cyprus though which left me feeling like I had colonic irrigation for the rest of day Blush
Anyway must go and get on.

Oops sorry for filling your news feeds with a double post Confused

cjwoofwoof · 09/08/2016 19:35

WTF is that ice ? Looks like a complete pile of poo to me. What's wrong with a role in Dunkirk or the new King Kong movie? Looks really obscure highbrow claptrap that no one very few will watch to me. Is Hollywood blind to what's under its nose? Bah! Very disappointing Angry

pixieg1rl · 09/08/2016 20:30

Hmm, that synopsis isn't doing much for me, ice. Maybe it will be a belter in Kazakhstan Confused. Let's hope it's a brilliant opportunity for him to work with someone interesting and not a pile of old shite that his agent has come up with to get their bonus at the end of the year.

Bletchley looks great ilove. I really want to go. I went through a bit of a phase when I was 19/20 and got really into the code breakers' stories (there was a Channel 4 documentary called Station X that started it off).

Nickel45 · 09/08/2016 21:14

Good intel ice, but does look a bit arty farty. Wonder if it will be shown over here? Afraid it won't be top of my "things to watch" list though, unless it is significantly better than the write up. Seems such a shame that he can't get a decent role in something else British - although once Fleabag is shown on "real" tv maybe that will help - there has been a lot of ravings about it, from what I hear. Hey ho.

Kids are driving me mad at the moment. Don't know why I was looking forward to having them home during the holidays. If they make it through the next few weeks, I'll be amazed!! We are off on holiday next week, so am planning on sticking my head in the sand figuratively speaking ... probably and going with the illusion of happy family days on the beach rather than the reality of taking all morning for everyone to get ready, and me, yet again, telling them off for hitting/screaming/fighting etc. constantly with each other. Although currently tempted to have a migraine for the first few days and send DH off with them so I can have a rest. That's not really bad parenting, is it?!

icemistOBE · 09/08/2016 21:21

It does sound very strange - but BA likes the unusual arty stuff

cjwoofwoof · 09/08/2016 21:46

Have a great holiday nick I'm sure you'll remember it as a happy family trip in about 10 years time come September and they toddle off back to school and you miss them like a hole in the head mad. I'm the same - I love my little bleeders dearly really when I don't have to put up with them Flowers

I do think the migraine trump card is a goodun though

Ilovelblue · 09/08/2016 22:06

Thank goodness I'm not the only one to think BA's latest role is too arty farty by half. Does he go for weird stuff do we think or does he take what's on offer? Mind you, if he makes that Hollywood break he seems to want, we might not see him again.

I like the migraine plot Nickel.

icemistOBE · 09/08/2016 22:21

I think he goes for the roles. It's certainly not the first 'art' film he's done.

OP posts:
MaddieMoo82 · 09/08/2016 22:34

I guess it puts him out there amongst different viewers and writers/directors and showcases his skills not just looking exceptionally hot in combats

cjwoofwoof · 09/08/2016 22:52

As you know I'm the last person to objectify a fine male form, but in this case it's fully justified - BA should just accept he's an Adonis in full combats and headset and suffer the consequences of being adored for always as long as he stays in said trouser. Damn and blast his serious thespian aspirations as far as I'm concerned

Heligirl79 · 09/08/2016 22:56

Bletchley looks good ilove, it's somewhere that I would like to visit.

mads, I've not been on a water slide since I had a bad experience in Tenerife, where I ended up getting airborne hit the end of the slide and fell in the pool. My DH and dad thought it was hilarious.

Had my friend's husband's funeral this afternoon. The church was packed and there was a fly past from two tiger moths and a dragon rapide.

Just been watching the women's diving, what is going on with the water in the pool, it seems to have changed colour over night.

Richtea19 · 09/08/2016 23:21

Bletchley looks fab ilove def on my list of things to do

Not sure about the new BA role?? Although would never turn down BA viewing.

nickel completely sympathise on the Kids situation. I always work out in my mind how wonderful school hols will be and picture scenarios, never ever does it pan out. My eldest DS is seriously high maintenance and doing my head in!!! Migraine option sounds good! X

kuiakaituhi · 10/08/2016 12:57

Dear God, what's the man up to doing weirdo stuff in weird places like that? Please excuse my xenophobia (good word, is it not?)
What I am about to say may be treasonous or may get me barred from here but I sometimes have a wee suspicion that he gets so few good roles because he is actually better at looking hot than being a s---t hot actor? I've always thought that he was just dreadful in REIGN. Mind you, they all were. It was a crap show with a crap script and old curtains for costumes.
LT out acted him in OG, I think, She is exceptional.
Now just waiting for you to throw virtual bricks at me...

kuiakaituhi · 10/08/2016 13:08

And another random thought. Why do we not see him in the media with adoring starlets, female singers and rich girls hanging off him and fighting over him? He's every bit as luscious as my boyfriend TH who was so cruelly stolen away from me by that blond hussy,TS.

Are we all wasting our time lusting after him, ladies? Perish the thought, but is it possible he has other appetites?
Waiting for more virtual bricks. Easy to duck, I'm a long way away.

pixieg1rl · 10/08/2016 13:22

I don't let anyone's sexuality stop me from lusting after them. I'm an equality luster. Happy to find him attractive whether he's straight, gay or bi. Let's face it I'm not about to run off into the sunset with him unless he's got a thing for short speccy 40 somethings that look like a dumplings with legs and MrP kicks me out.

I'd like to think he's a private guy and not into self publicity. Got to respect that if I'm honest.

I'd like to see him more, though I'm unlikely to trawl Khazak cinema. I think he risks being put in the posh good looking guy box and needs to take some risks with parts, maybe back to theatre for a bit?

Ilovelblue · 10/08/2016 13:45

Agreed pixie. Doubt he'll want to run off with any of us, especially bad tempered red haired women the wrong side of 50! I'm old enough to be his mother!

....and kuia those of us who've been on here for a good while had the discussion about his sexuality some time ago and even if he is gay, so what? Most of it is in our imagination anyway. We came to the conclusion he's a private sort of guy, not one for plastering himself all over the tabloids and social media. It makes a refreshing change from those desperate to be in the limelight in my view.

pixieg1rl · 10/08/2016 18:49

Rhu, are you anywhere near Worcester? There's an exhibition on at the cathedral of costumes from tv, including Poldark's and Rick Rankin's from Crimson Field.

Ilovelblue · 10/08/2016 21:14

Well here we are in Lille to find out there's going to be a strike from Eurostar which will probably affect our return to London on Sunday. Sht, sht, sh*t!

kuiakaituhi · 10/08/2016 21:24

Just saying... I was teasing! Just wondering out loud.Makes no difference to me, either.
I consider myself properly told off, ilove
I agree about his obvious self respect and probable need for privacy. I did wonder how he felt when he realised a good part of the audience at his Christmas reading thing was there to lust after him?

cjwoofwoof · 10/08/2016 21:57

Just for the record kuia yes......and yes
