I have so much hype right now.

I don't think it's that bad spoilers as we still don't know what's true. I'd rather see a shit load of death then get Stoneheart Grin

Just a little random aside that contributes nothing, except maybe a wry smile:
The Jaime and Brienne partnership. Jaime killed the mad King. Brienne killed Stannis, who was the putative real king after Robert.
So does that make them both Kingslayers? Very well matched then. Grin

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 16/06/2016 02:34

No, stannis was never King and brienne wasn't sworn to protect him so she's not a kingslayer.
I reckon Sophie's lie is about LS and Maisie's lie is that she doesn't kill anyone

Morifarty · 16/06/2016 07:16

My main wish for Arya returning to Westeros is her meeting up with Nymeria again.

I think Sansa will live and rule Winterfell, that must be the point of her character development.

Wun-Wun is probably going to die, though I'm not sure who would manage to do it, but WTF are they going to do with a giant long term? If Tormund kicks it though I'm going to have a strop.

I suspect Dany is going to turn out a little mad. She is the child of brother/sister, who in turn were the children of brother/sister. And she has been getting quite conquer-y and shouty.

Trills · 16/06/2016 08:39

Stannis declared himself King, and by the laws of succession should have been.

So Brienne sort of was a kingslayer.

But there were a lot of kings about at that point.

I think it's only wrong to kill a king if you acknowledge them as your king.

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 16/06/2016 08:42

I don't think the laws of succession applied with the baratheons. Robert took the throne by force, so when he died it was fair game. Also joffrey had a better claim than stannis and renly as robert's acknowledged son.

TheNorthRemembers · 16/06/2016 08:49

The Baratheons took it as they were closest related to the Targs. Aerys and Robert's Dad were first cousins. Also the house was established by a possible Targ bastard.

thetemptationofchocolate · 16/06/2016 09:58

"Frey Pie is when some of the Freys got baked into pies by House Manderly "

Would that be a Frey Bentos pie?

boldlygoingsomewhere · 16/06/2016 12:39

I've just started re-reading the books again to refresh my memory about some of my the storylines. It's years since read them and my memory is a bit hazy!

Loving the speculation on this thread though. Smile

BeyondTellsEveryoneRealFacts · 16/06/2016 12:54

"Arya is in the trailer more than you realise" suggests she is nicking someones face....! Will have to look at the trailer again, see if anyone is doing anything out of character.

I think arya will kill frey and cersei, but not the hound. Thus both sophie and maisie are lying about arya's kill count...?

NeedACleverNN · 16/06/2016 13:05
Grin
TheNorthRemembers · 16/06/2016 13:43

"RJnomore1

Back with another stupid idea

Could the battle in the trailer be one of Mellisandre's visions?"

Not another Twilight, please. The worst bit is that I can imagine D&D would do it.

CaitAgusMadra · 16/06/2016 14:12

Pure speculation alert!

what if Jon and Ramsay fight in single combat. Ramsay is defeated (not dead but yields) but instead of conceding attacks anyway and slaughters the unprepared army. I have a horrible feeling it'll be curtains for Davos and Tormund (sob). Just hope Davos gets Mel first

SolomanDaisy · 16/06/2016 16:12

I just can't see Ramsay agreeing to single combat. The argument Jon uses is 1000s don't have to die, but Ramsay is a psychopath, he doesn't care if thousands die. He'd also probably lose single combat, but he has way more troops for winning the Battle.

BonerSibary · 16/06/2016 16:18

Yeah, Ramsay would be a tit to agree to that. I guess he could be cornered and forced or whatever.

EverySongbirdSays · 16/06/2016 16:45

I think Arya is in the trailer more than you realise is Maisie's lie and Arya kills 3 is Sophie's lie. As there are only 3 on the list now. It would be impossible just in terms of journeying to take out Frey, and Cersei and the Mountain in one episode.

I hope the battle we've seen is a vision as I hope that the Umbers down tools and waltz over to Team Stark like SURPRISE BITCH!

OP posts:
weirdsister · 16/06/2016 17:10

How about Ghost against Ramsey's hounds?

MaterofDragons · 16/06/2016 17:22

I think the lies are:
Arya does not kill any more people off her list
Arya kills 3

I think Arya only kills 1 person off her list - Walder Frey. Based on nothing else but a hunch Grin

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 16/06/2016 17:23

Is Melisandre on the list or did I imagine that?

HandbagCrab · 16/06/2016 17:32

Spoiler for next episode possibly

On This Morning this morning Phil & Holly interviewed Jon Snur. Before the interview Phil said something about a deal with a Valerian sword.

I wonder if Ramsey agrees to Jon's single combat if Jon gives him his sword and then once he has it sets his army on Jon's. This lack of honour might make the other northern houses rebel.

CaitAgusMadra · 16/06/2016 17:38

No Melisandre is not on Aryas list. I'm pretty sure they've never met in the books. They only met once in the show when Mel came to take Gendry from the BwB

TheNorthRemembers · 16/06/2016 17:47

Thinking about it there is only one thing Ramsay wants according to the Pink letter "I want my bride back".

SolomanDaisy · 16/06/2016 18:00

Oh, actually I do vaguely remember Melisandre being on Arya's list on the show and also Berric Dondarion, both after Berric gave Gendry to Melisandre. I think Saga might be right.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 16/06/2016 18:15

Y,y I vaguely remember her calling her "The Red Woman" when she's ticking names of her list.

EverySongbirdSays · 16/06/2016 18:16

Hmmm. The Waif went through the list about 3 episodes ago. Cersei, The Mountain and Walder Frey (and Illyn Payne? The hangman that killed Ned) she was asked about The Hound and said he was on The List but she' taken him off. Melisandre not mentioned.
