Arya is not dead, IMO, because of the basic rules of storytelling.

If Arya's story had been, as far as everyone else is concerned...

never seen again, because dead

... then we would not have followed her story in Braavos at all.

Deaths, and the leadup to them, are only worth showing if they impact on the people who are left behind.

Am I the only one who thought Ygritte in season two was a complete bunny boiler?

She's so persistent. I know if you were in the middle of nowhere with him and either one of you could be dead any time then sure, you'd try your luck but she really keeps on pushing far past the point of sexual harassment.

I liked her saying though that
“A man can own a woman or a man can own a knife,” Ygritte told him, “but no man can own both. Every little girl learns that from her mother.”
She was certainly a force to be reckoned with. And in fairness, Jon's life was in constant danger and Ygritte lied for him all the time to protect him. At least in the books. Jon would not have lasted a day without her in the wildling camp.

I agree that Arya's story has not finished yet. I'd like her to be reunited with Jon and kick some ass. The Sansa and Jon pairing is just not good enough for me.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are very distantly related, both descendants of Charles II.

Tormund is a fine hunk of a man! But I don't see him and Brienne as a match at all. She's so bound up in honour and duty and a knightly lifestyle, and he's a proper wildling. How would they live together?

Mind you, I'd sooner see her with him than the slimy sister fucker...

I've loved this series. I found last series a bit of a slog, but this one has been brilliant - Hold the door, Sansa and Jon, Tormund/Brienne, little Lady Mormont this week, Olenna Tyrells general awesomeness, the Hound not being dead. All brilliant.

We are reading HP and the Half Blood Prince while eagerly awaiting the Cursed Child (in a book form, not lucky enough to get to the theatre in London). DS (8) asks me about Albus Potter every day. Have you got the book yet?!

It is so sad that by season 6 we cannot imagine Brienne with Jaime, when bookreaders speculate about their awesome (and hypothetical) child probably raised as someone else's child. They would also fulfil a lovely unfinished romance between their ancestors (Brienne's likely great-grandfather and Jaime's great-grandmother) in the Sworn Sword.

Who'd have thought that a GOT thread would launch me on Operation Cursed Child Tickets! I did actually find a pair available at my first attempt but would have involved DD skipping school and frankly if it involves her having to feign illness and not being able to show off to her mates she'd rather not go.

I'd love to see the cursed child. Sadly there is no disposable income available for it.

No. I watch at least 3 times. And I look for the Red Team Review, Alt Shift X Review, Emergency Awesome Review, Preston Jacobs and Inside The Episode on Youtube as well

Which reminds me been meaning to say, how absolutely shite are Lena Headey and Natalie Dormer's wigs??!! At least Emilia Clarke's looks like it's her hair.
