The celeb section is cringeworthy - even Damien can't make up for it.

Which country were they in earlier?

Well I loved it tonight. CE had a poisoned chalice to be fair and yes, he was shrill at the start of last week, but it picked up. I have really enjoyed both episodes and think there is room for both TG and GT. Accept I am in the minority but it's perfectly fine entertainment.

What is GT?

Well I think it's great. Love it. The presenters are funny and much better than the pathetic laddish contrived scenarios of the previous three. It was all a bit childish and blokey for me.

I love Eddie Jordan and MLB.

I really like the new top gear. The old 3 were good in the early years but had had become parodies of themselves, it was so hammed up I couldn't watch them overacting their parts any more. Eddie Jordan was funny tonight. Lots of positive comments on Twitter too...

This week was much better.

A massive crush on Damian Lewis (since the BBC remake of much ado and also Hearts and bones) and Sharleen Spiteri (from when as a wee girl she thought the lyrics of Rock the Casbah said Sharleen rather than Sharif) might also have helped...

I think matt let blanc is very watchable on it

Damien Lewis is playing footy on Soccer Aid now.

I loved Matt Le Blanc even more this week but can't stand Chris Evans, his voice is so weak when doing the voiceovers and shouty when in the studio and he isn't funny. It's a shame they aren't using the other presenters more but I hop MLB takes more of the lead over time.

Just watched this and I think it is growing on me. If someone could just tell Chris to calm down and stop shouting, after the second show I think it has potential. MLB is great and he was good with Tiny Tempah. Loved the South Africa scenery and yes I do want the Jag !!

I tried to watch the first one but thought it was utter garbage. I can't stand Evans and he is totally the wrong person.

I've got amazon Prime in preparation for the trio's new programme and in the meantime will watch their repeats on Dave.

Forgotten it was on!! Just switched over.

It's actually okay this week. The reports are better than old TG.
