I'd quite like someone to get Ramsay and Littlefinger with the same spear. Two for the price of one.

Gutted about Osha.

Cooroo · 16/05/2016 22:54

Great ep. A Stark reunion has been a long time coming and it was so good to see Strong Sansa re-emerge. Was so excited thinking Osha was going to stab that evil bastard, and so sad we lost her so soon after she'd returned.

Tyrion moved things on a bit in Mereen and Dany was awesome - something had better come of it this time!

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 16/05/2016 22:56

Anyone else a bit worried about my darling Iain Glenn? He's looking a bit gaunt these days.

I did like his sneaky peak up at naked Daenerys at the end though - made me think of the books when she wears Qartheen style robes with one boob out and she notices that Jorah's virtually got his mouth hanging open.

Cooroo · 16/05/2016 23:15

Jorah certainly not a well-bear. Climbing that hill took it out of him and he was no match for his Dothraki opponent. Guess greyscale is starting to take its toll. Sorry.

FTFOAFOSM · 16/05/2016 23:21

I cried at the Jon-Sansa reunion, cheered at the Tormund-Brienne look, (I so think they should be a couple, they'd be great,) loved the complexities of Tyrion trying to be diplomatic/play the long game, and really glad that Grey Worm/Missandei backed him up, and yes, Littlefinger needs to die, so that Robin can back up Sansa/Jon with an army to retake Winterfell - also, not forgetting Theon, who, if he can get his act together in time and persuade Asha it's a good idea, might be able to lend Sansa/Jon a hand?

RJnomore1 · 16/05/2016 23:27

I love Dany!

Brilliant ending.

MakingJudySmile · 16/05/2016 23:35

I enjoyed that episode.

Is Asha pregnant? Or maybe the actress is. She just seems it; I of course could be deluded it's been know.

Trills · 16/05/2016 23:36

"Danaerys knows how to conquer - Tyrion knows how to rule"

Yes. Good description.

ChiefClerkDumknott are you a fan of tvtropes by any chance?

Trills · 16/05/2016 23:37

I am getting a bit confused because

Osha = name of wilding who was looking after Rickon (also Tonks in Harry Potter if that helps)

Asha = book name of Theon's sister
Yara = TV name of Theon's sister.

Who do you think is pregnant?

Trills · 16/05/2016 23:40

Dany's hair burned in the books but not on TV.

This was some good nudity, I think.

No "hi I'm here for the male gaze" but "did y'all forget I have fucking fire magic?!"

TheUnsullied · 16/05/2016 23:44

Loved this episode Grin Sansa has finally caught my attention. I've just finished book 1 and until Eddard died, her chapters made me want to strangle her myself. So self indulgent and shallow. And since that point in the show she's been very dependant despite show-Sansa being older than book-Sansa, which also infuriated me.

WTF is Tyrion playing at?! 7 years?! And why did 2 former slaves back him up so readily?

Littlefinger is going to die soon. And then Robert Arryn will go a bit batshit and order lots of moon door deaths, so someone will kill the blood thirsty little shit and realign the Vale's armies with the north to get the Starks back in Winterfell. Who would Robert Arryn's heir be? Would the Vale pass to the Starks too? I can't remember much about Jon Arryn's family.

Dany did good. That's a fuck of a lot of Dothraki to command. Off to Westeros you pop now please.

Gutted that Osha died. Though I still think the Umbers have plans to take on Ramsey. Plan A didn't work is all.

The storyline at the Red Keep is getting quite tiresome. I don't really see what real progress has been made since the walk of shame. Just a waste of screen time IMO. Or it will be until someone starts really teaching Tommen how to be a king.

Trills · 16/05/2016 23:48

Show Sansa can't be that much older than book Sansa - they both had their first period during the time we were watching them.

Dany and Jon and Rob all got aged up significantly, but Sansa not quite so much. She is very tall though.

MakingJudySmile · 16/05/2016 23:50

Oh gawd. I mean Yara. Yara greyjoy being pregnant (or possibly the actress is)

TheSecondOfHerName · 16/05/2016 23:54

Did Littlefinger say "Time to join the fray" or "Time to join the Frey"?

Trills · 16/05/2016 23:55

Maybe LIttlefinger has musical aspirations?

TheUnsullied · 16/05/2016 23:57

Ooh, and Bran. I'm thinking he'll live just about long enough to stand in for the lack of Jeremy Kyle's DNA tests, what with him being the only person who can see the past and all that. So he has to reunite with either Jon or someone who'll tell Jon who he really is. Then he probably doesn't have long before he gets killed somehow. Maybe a fall of some kind? The raven does have him convinced he'll fly. Then Hodor goes batshit killing whoever caused his death.

weirdsister · 17/05/2016 00:03

I loved how kickass the women were in that episode.
Sansa and Jon being reunited was fab. Smile

Could Jon be Robert's baby?
If he was Targaryen wouldn't he have lighter hair?
One of the things that Ned Stark noted in season one was that the Baratheon's were 'black of hair' when he realised what the Lannisters were up to.

Trills · 17/05/2016 00:05

Not all Targaryens have silver hair.

Arya is said to look like Lyanna and also said to look like Jon. He looks like a Stark.

Sansa and Rob look like their mother.

No special comment on who Bran/Rickon look like.

Trills · 17/05/2016 00:06

I am glad that Sansa apologised for being a bit of a bitch when she was younger. When the gates swung open it struck me for a moment those two never got on.

weirdsister · 17/05/2016 00:14

Is there a timescale for Lyanna being with Robert/Rhaegar before she dies?

Lemond1fficult · 17/05/2016 01:10

That first look from Tormund to Brienne had me wriggling with delight. I'm not really about the romantic outcomes with this show ( road to disappointment much?) but Brienne's Achilles heel is her feeling of unfemininity and attractiveness. She's already badass, so would love to see her realise there just hasn't been a man with the cojones to handle her yet.

JonSnowsBeardClippings · 17/05/2016 06:14

Jon and Sansa didn't get on but they both lost their family and went through so much that their reunion seemed completely realistic to me.
I really doubt that Jon is robert's baby. Robert had bastards all over the place, Ned would have fostered him with someone I think if that was the case rather than claim him as his own son. I could be wrong, but it would be a disappointing outcome!

JonSnowsBeardClippings · 17/05/2016 06:16

Also I don't think Robert would have had sex with lyanna before marriage. Honour was a big deal to them and although Robert happily shagged prostitutes and tavern wenches, I don't think he would have slept with a Lady who he was going to marry who was also his best friend's sister before marriage.

SausageSmuggler · 17/05/2016 07:09

Ooh I liked that episode!

Great family reunion. Sansa has had such a rubbish time she needed a bit of solid hope.

Poor Osha. Almost had to wonder why they bothered bringing the actress back!

I'm glad Dany finally did something interesting.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 17/05/2016 07:09

The Freys will be back this season, they were in the trailer. Whether that's to take revenge on Ramsay or be killed horribly by Sansa/Arya/Jon/Brienne, who knows.

I now no longer cares who takes the Iron Throne in the end, or who the third dragon rider is, I only care that Brienne gets to marry Tormund and have enormous babies and live happily and badassly ever after, possibly as joint commanders of the Kings Guard. He is exactly who could make her happy: strong, seven foot tall, uncomplicated, and fancies the socks off her.
