THIS THREAD IS FOR DISCUSSING EP 2, INCLUDING SPOILERS. READ NO FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. GOT THAT? SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

QUITE, QUITE SURE? YOU REALLY WANT TO DISCUSS SERIES 6, EPISODE 2?

OK. I think that should be enough.

Right. R B - greatest TV villain of all time? I didn't see that coming!

Wouldn't it be more likely that it's Bran in Jon's body if it's anyone? Although I don't think it will be - it will be a Lady Stoneheart/Beric Dondarrion 'proper' resurrection.

Cerseilannisterinthesnow · 03/05/2016 13:43

I am really enjoying so far, only 2 episodes in and been shocked, angry and relieved all in one sitting! I too also thought Cersei was going to kill tommen there and then! I'm inly on book 2 so not far enough ahead to see what she's like in the books

WeDoNotSow · 03/05/2016 14:39

Cersei was going to kill tommen

Oh God, I hope that doesn't happen?!?
I always thought Cerseis dedication to her children was one of her few redeeming qualities

WeDoNotSow · 03/05/2016 14:40

I mean, in the books she wouldn't, but with the show you never know, do you?

Cerseirys · 03/05/2016 16:10

She did nearly kill him once, when she thought they'd lost the Battle of Blackwater and was about to poison him rather than have him fall into enemy hands.

emilybohemia · 03/05/2016 16:13

I think it probably won't be either Tooextra, but it was an interesting theory.

EverySongbirdSays · 03/05/2016 16:27

What might be more likely in terms of the ironies in Game Of Thrones is if Tommen were to die as a direct consequence of something Cersei did to protect him.

WeDoNotSow · 03/05/2016 16:30

Oh yeah, I forgot about that Cerseirys!

WeDoNotSow · 03/05/2016 16:33

I agree Everysong
I don't think Cersei's plans tend to turn out very well in general do they

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/05/2016 17:04

Soz to derail for a second, but I just saw there was quite a lot of argument on the Episode 1 thread about episode discussion before the Monday 9pm airing. I really hope we can all agree that the best way forward from now on is for someone to start a new thread for each episode (like this one) so that comments don't accidentally appear on TIO before we've had a chance to view. That way, once we've viewed and joined the thread it's obvious we're ready to discuss and won't be spoiled. Hope that works for everyone and HQ...I know I said it before but I really appreciated seeing this separate thread (I avoided TIO just in case!) knowing I wouldn't see anything I didn't want to before I was ready. Does anyone think that Arya will get sent back to Westeros to assassinate Sansa/Jon/Rickon to prove that a girl is really No One? I don't think she'd do it. I don't believe she's really brainwashed - she's just pretending.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/05/2016 17:25

I think she's just pretending too, Too...her need for vengeance goes too deep.

ClashCityRocker · 03/05/2016 17:37

Still think she cocked up on the whole three deaths thing...

Very intriguing storyline though and I'm not sure where it's going - is it leading her back home or further east to Dany and the dragons?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/05/2016 18:08

Y, y she could have probably single-handedly brought down the entire world of Westeros if she had picked her 3 a bit more wisely...but I guess there was a part of her that didn't believe the Man could/would do it.

RainbowDashian · 03/05/2016 18:09

I think Melisandre has tied Jon's life to Ghost. I think that's why we kept being shown Ghost asleep, Ghost then woke up and so did Jon. I wonder if this means Jon can't be killed as long as Ghost is alive. Bit Voldemort and his horcruxes.

EverySongbirdSays · 03/05/2016 18:10

I think that's were they are going as well cheddar and when faced with her family she won't be able to do it. Also agree that it's a means to end so she can eventually get on with her Kill List. I have no idea why they keep meandering around with Dany to no apparent purpose, they are just placeholding with her really.

RainbowDashian · 03/05/2016 18:11

I also think Tyrion will be a dragon rider but this is mostly based on the books. I think he'll ride Viserion.
Euron is an interesting character in the book so looking foward to the Greyjoy storyline in tv show.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/05/2016 18:18

I really hope they get a move on with Dany this series...although with her current predicament it seems like she's taking backward steps. And with the ships being burned, it seems like things are going from bad to worse. I guess we're supposed to think that before they let something shock us, though.

Alisvolatpropiis · 03/05/2016 18:32

To be fair, Arya when making her decision as to which three, was only about 9 in the books.

Snapespeare · 03/05/2016 18:34

I think hodor ' hodor's' because of Lyanna. Think he tried to save her from her kidnap and witnessed things that made his brain slip.

NeedACleverNN · 03/05/2016 18:45

What if Hodor is the one who smuggled Jon Snow away? Going on the theory he is Jon Targaryen?

Equiem89 · 03/05/2016 18:58

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but Lad Bible posted an article that Tyrion is a Targaryen. Tywin isn't his father, Aerys is.

ClashCityRocker · 03/05/2016 19:04

I'm rereading at the minute.

In the first book there's a bit where renly is at great pains to show ned a locket with Margery's picture in it because he thinks she looks like Lyanna...he dismisses it as a fantasy and maybe trying to be like his elder brother and no more is said.

I thought it odd because it felt 'foreshadowy' but nowt came of it.

I wonder if it's more significant - although Margery is too young to be Lyanna, she could be her child (if she did indeed have a child with Rhaeger)....I've always found the Tyrell's motive a bit...odd.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 03/05/2016 19:26

Hodor was supposedly kicked in the head by a horse, according to book 1. That's not to say he didn't get kicked while fighting in the Tower of Joy, mind!

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 03/05/2016 19:39

Clash, I took that to mean Renly was hoping to use Margaery to somehow tempt Robert away from Cersei or maybe even to forge a closer bond with his brother: get him on side/ control him through Margaery
