The afternoon tea was ok - not the best but just average. At least it was free! The first time we went it had been a present so didn't cost anything but then we complained and got another go as it were! The dining room was very dark and so we asked to sit in the bar/lounge this time which was much better and they offered prosecco as well as the tea. My friend can't drink it so I thought she may have passed it on to me, but instead she asked for a glass of wine!

Maddie I'm not too far from the Peak District mileage wise but it's not a great journey once you get past Stockport. Pity I can't drop in for a visit.

Oh yes Heligirl I'd forgotten about our entrance exam!

Sunny here today but late getting the kids to school. I looked like a crazy person running through the school doors dragging kids/bags/reading books/water bottles!!

Having rubbish day. Two jobs I'm working on are proving ridiculously and unnecessarily complicated and somebody was supposed to give me some over the phone training and she was only marginally more knowledgeable than me. She did apologise! Going to the local garden centre in a bit to get away from the madness.

Sympathies ilove. I'm having a similarly poor day.

Feeling bad for DS, turns out he has septic tonsillitis, hence the vomiting .

Ha! No pix not THAT Jon Snow although I am rather partial to Rageh Omaar if I was forced into a newscaster corner - it's the Jon Snow in mads pic above. Now my usual six-pack of choice is Tango Apple but I could make an exception for that very large one. I'm also rather enjoying the D'Artagnan shoulder pad and Manu leather Spartacus arm thanks mads that's brightened up my afternoon no end
