Evening all. Had a lovely day up in the Lakes. The hotel had been taken over by the Laura Ashley group a couple of years ago and has amazing views down to the lake at Bowness. It's not my favourite of the Lakes towns by a long way, but with the snow on the mountains and the sun shining, it really looked spectacular. There was a big wedding on in the hotel and we amused ourselves no end looking at the outfits. I am sure some of those women didn't possess a mirror, or if they did, they never bothered looking in it. They were all outside in the sun but must have been frozen as the majority were in summer dresses and very few had coats/jackets/wraps. I don't think I could go to a wedding at this time of the year without a contingency plan for the weather!

MaddieMoo82 · 30/04/2016 22:04

Evening all.

Lovely walk in the semi-sunshine today and then whilst ds napped I managed to get a bit more of the flowerbeds done. It's one of those tasks I kind of wish I hadn't started as I've got to finish it, can't leave it like it is at the moment!!

Sounds like you day was lovely ilove. kelly you have certainly earnt a dishwasher and glad you escaped soft play.

Just about keeping my eyes open to watch the news then bed, need the rest as spending tomorrow afternoon with mrmads family Hmmrock n roll Saturday night!!

It's like the Marie Celeste on here today. Where is everyone?

Rubbish weather in Lancashire. Rained nearly all day. Tomorrow is supposed to be better.

pixieg1rl · 01/05/2016 19:36

Been gorgeous here today ilove. I've done gardening and more gardening and roasted a chicken.

KellyHb · 01/05/2016 20:59

Evening all

Been busy out shopping today which I wasn't planning on doing as had loads of washing to do but DH wanted to get the kids out and he'd promised them a Pizza Hut and it was 4 against 1 so out we went.

Went to the Disney shop and thought of you pix with all the Star Wars merchandise there. I was holding off getting a picture with a stormtrooper Shock

apsara that's what I'm going to do, binge watch the series a few weeks from the end so I can do the months free trial. The way I'm watching it now, the picture isn't that clear and I need to see JAMMF in HD Grin

Cute pic of SW. I think he'll be a lovely uncle.

Hope your day with the in-laws didn't go too badly mads

MaddieMoo82 · 01/05/2016 22:25

Evening all. Such a busy day am knackered. Work tomorrow too Confused

Thanks kelly was ok at with MrMads family actually. DS was really good too which was a bonus.

It's been awful weather here too ilove! Must be bad on the west side of the country and good on the east side.

Trying to plan for holiday at the end of the week and just realised how much I need to do! Argh!!

Ilovelblue · 01/05/2016 23:32

Lucky you pixie. I had to hide in the greenhouse most of the day and was writing labels out for our charity plant sale - not the most exciting of jobs. Have bought my tomatoes though and will be able to plant them up next weekend once most of the plants for the fundraising event are out of the greenhouse. Did your hellebore seedlings take ok?

Maddie is it this next weekend you are coming up to the Peak District?

My neighbour was away at a wedding in Lincolnshire and brought me a present back. I really wish she wouldn't as it means I have to get stuff for her when I go away! I don't mind if it's a "proper" holiday but not just when she's away overnight or a couple of nights. At least it was better than that vile photo frame - a £10 voucher for Joules.

Two great ff updates today from Whajeb and *Lola. Cheered up a damp and miserable day.

kuiakaituhi · 02/05/2016 06:49

Just watched Game of Thrones Episode 2. EPIC!!! Smurf has all the best lines and he is a totally evil Ramsay Bolton. All goats BEWARE! And any other living thing.

I gather he's been cast as a young Hitler in a new TV series. I can see that working, with a little moustache and a GHD to straighten his curls.

pixieg1rl · 02/05/2016 09:07

The helibores are doing well ilove I've got them in pots for now, I'm thinking they will need some shade, is that right? They seem to be coping well with the transfer to sunny east anglia.

Today I will be going through the seeds to work out which annuals need sowing next. This is the point where I always stumble, I'm a bit rubbish at the preparing seed beds and end up chucking stuff in and complaining when they don't come up.

KellyHb · 02/05/2016 09:36

Morning all

Cloudy here, think it might be rain later.

With you ladies talking of gardens, I've been watching our neighbour put down new decking as our lawns are always prone to flooding. He's so handy as once he starts a job around the house or outside, it's normally done in a couple of days. I wish DH was more like that. It takes him weeks to think about starting any job Confused

Oo how exciting mads. I bet you can't wait to get away. The organising for going anywhere always the worst and you wish you were there without the bother.

I've got to complete paperwork today re: the twins starting reception in Sept. I still feel all nervous about it but hopefully that'll pass and hopefully they'll grow quite a few more inches before then!

Ilovelblue · 02/05/2016 09:41

Pixie no need to boast about your sun in East Anglia Wink! Yes, they like dappled shade.

I'm not great with seeds either. Very enthusiastic about sowing them but lazy about pricking out rtc. That's why I stick to propagating perennials in the main.

Have a free afternoon tea later. My friend had it bought for her at Christmas and it wasn't very good so she complained and now we have a return visit for them to prove they've taken our comments on board.

Ilovelblue · 02/05/2016 09:43

etc not rtc!

Richtea19 · 02/05/2016 10:19

I've been absent for a few days, we had friends over for dinner last night which meant major clean of the house and a day cooking and prepping in the kitchen. Today I have a stack of washing up and a hangover! And standing outside waiting for DS to finish a 10k run!

So the cast are back in the Uk, hopefully some tweets or sightings?

pixieg1rl · 02/05/2016 11:20

Sean's back home and meeting his new niece. His sister posted a photo on twitter. It almost made me broody.

Onlygirljen · 02/05/2016 14:57

Hi all - sick day Bank holiday here, youngest been puking since 5am Confused. Was feeling very smug till that point after clearing bags of assorted crap clutter to the charity shop and dump yesterday.

Off to have a ff catchup and coffee while CBeebies takes over the parenting for a while Grin

KellyHb · 02/05/2016 15:38

jen good work on your decluttering. I've still got more to get rid of. Hope littlie is better soon. Its always the same when there's a days holiday, you can guarantee a child will get sick, at least in our house anyway. Hmm

Sounds like you had a good night rich. Dishes are not my best friend at the minute either.

MaddieMoo82 · 02/05/2016 19:45

Evening all. Hope everyone's had a good bank hols. Hope your ds is feeling better jen.
Been at work all day but must admit it was nice on hearing mrmads calling out 'stop licking the bin', to be the one walking out of the door and having to worry if it was ds, the dog or both GrinShock
Yes in the Peak District from Friday onwards ilove. It's ds's first birthday whilst we are away so need to get sorted for holiday plus sorting that Shock not enough hours in the day!!

pixieg1rl · 02/05/2016 20:05

Just remember mads, you could probably leave half the baby crap behind and do just fine.

One day I'm going to remember to take a day off before we go on holiday just to do the packing, I find getting ready to go away very stressful.

Hope your DS is feeling better now Jen.

Heligirl79 · 02/05/2016 21:13

Good evening ladies. I hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread, feel like I'm intruding! I have been following you on and off since Our Girl was on and have been loving the updates on how the filming is going on series 2. I have to admit that I am team Molly and gutted that she is not in the new series, but still looking forward to watching it. I have also been reading the fabulous fan fiction stories and just want to say thank you to all of you that take the time to write them.

Ilovelblue · 02/05/2016 21:30

Hi Heligir welcome! We might appear mad but we are quite sane underneath, honest! The fanfiction is amazing, isn't it? It's kept us going whilst we waited for the BBC to announce the new series of OG.

Ilovelblue · 02/05/2016 21:33

I think I meant Heligirl there - I need to put my glasses on!
