Poor DS Jen that sounds really grim

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2016 17:01

Afternoon ladies. Just caught up on the thread after a little absence. Welcome to heligirl and Berlin. Am I mistaken or was there not another newbie or returner in farnedancer as well? Welcome or welcome back all.

Sorry to hear about DS jen. I've had that myself and it's rotten! I've been poorly over the BH as well - I always like to get sick in my own time for some strange reason. Been a bit busy recently so not really had time to join in.

Enjoyed the pics ice and the news etc from filming so I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Onlygirljen · 03/05/2016 17:02

His breath at the moment could knock you out pix, grim is about right!

Am I the only person never to have watched even the tiniest bit of GoT?! Is it as good as the hype suggests??

cjwoofwoof · 03/05/2016 17:22

Ooh yes jen it is, but only if you like that sort of medieval fantasy world type thing. I don't particularly, I'm just in it for the totty ogling tbh. A friend of mine is a massive Sean Bean fan but alas he was executed in series 1, bah!

Hope your DS feels better soon btw, sounds nasty Sad Unfortunately my breath can usually clear a room first thing in the morning and I don't even have an infection not of the throat anyway Grin

kuiakaituhi · 03/05/2016 17:41

I love GoT but it's really impossible to pick it up at this stage without watching from the start. It's incredibly popular in Godzone (NZ for you Northern Hemisphere lot) and we have just had a month of reruns on a dedicated TV channel. Just to get newcomers up to speed. All day long, apparently one of the highest rating series in the last 12 months.
Jon Snow is high end totty, Woof but there is quite a selection on view. Check Jaime Lannister, for starters.

cjwoofwoof · 03/05/2016 18:39

Indeed kuia but unfortunately not much use to me with only one hand Shock

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2016 18:50

Jen rough time for you and DS. Will he have to have his tonsils out do you think?

I've never watched GoT either. Not sure it's my thing from what everyone has said.

Back to my plant labelling. Getting some advance orders in for our plant sale so that helps us. Less pressure on the day.

Nickel did you survive the cub camp? How was your weather?

MaddieMoo82 · 03/05/2016 18:51

Ah jen hope your littlest is better ASAP. Flowers
That's ok woof it was from my private collection and chosen especially for its Spartacus similarities Smile

cjwoofwoof · 03/05/2016 19:12

Hmm mads I might gonna have to hack your iCloud and ogle your private collection if that's ok Wink

Why oh why oh why can't loincloths and sandals for men make a high street breakthrough? I'd purchase some nice bits for my DH to use in the bedroom department actually, maybe not

pixieg1rl · 03/05/2016 20:20

Dress down Friday at your place woof?

kuiakaituhi · 03/05/2016 20:20

Woof will let you know when Weta Workshops (Peter Jackson and his mates) have their next clearance sale. Bound to have some nice swords, sandals and loincloths on special. They make them for casts of thousands,...though I think they computer generate quite a few.
Have been to the Workshop. Absolutely amazing place.
I remember, Woof you liked Manu on horseback. I think the Dothraki look like they're quite good at holding the reins? Probably good at handling whips too. There's quite a tasty Dothraki dealing to Daenerys at the moment. Could be a suitable follow up to Manu.

Richtea19 · 03/05/2016 21:45

Jen hope you DS gets better soon Flowers

I haven't watched GoT either, I think there are too many to catch up on now, although I did see there is a new series of Peaky Blinders and I haven't seen the others so perhaps a binge watch is in order. I've just finished watching Line of Duty, that was amazing.

Welcome to all Newbies, great to have you on here.

cjwoofwoof · 03/05/2016 22:37

pix did you have a spy camera in my DHs office last Fiday coz that resemblance is uncanny Confused You can just pick out my naked scything Poldark calendar in the background Wink

Ooh yes, don't remind me of Manu on horseback whilst I'm eating a sausage roll, thanks kuia All of a sudden it's a whole lot tastier. Hmm yes I recall the Dothraki King who married Daenerys was rather tasty, but I currently prefer her bodyguard chappie searching for her with Iain Glen's character thank you. And if you could have a chat with dear Peter and get me a couple of pointy helmets, some up the leg strappy sandals with a peek-a-boo chain mail chest plate and an extra long pike that'll be my next Bank Holiday Monday evening sorted

kuiakaituhi · 04/05/2016 00:26

Trouble is, Woof that Ian Glenn's mate was one of the Unsullied soldiers...They got that name because they all had to get an unfortunate amputation as an entry requirement for that regiment...wouldn't be able to perform how you would like at all. None of the necessary equipment whatsoever, I'm afraid. I've always wondered why he hasn't got a squeaky voice...

They seem to do that rather a lot on GoT. Ramsay Bolton, aka Smurf, put Reek's in a gift box and sent it to his father, if you recall. I LOVE Ramsay, the ultimate badass. And he does it with such a beautiful soft Welsh lilt in his voice.

Ilovelblue · 04/05/2016 08:17

Morning all. What a lovely morning. Such a shame to have to go to work. Why was it not more like this over the bank holiday?

cjwoofwoof · 04/05/2016 10:16

No, no, no kuia not the unsullied bodyguard - the other one who fights off anyone who attacks Daenearys and had his wicked way with her at the tail end of last series. I'm googling him now...

cjwoofwoof · 04/05/2016 10:22

And here he is absolutely owning that outfit...

Apparently he's called Daario-Naharis and is played by a Dutch actor called Michiel Huisman who well deserves to be at the fireside wrestling imo

MaddieMoo82 · 04/05/2016 10:35

Morning all Smile bloody lovely here too ilove but unfortunately can't get out in the garden to enjoy it. Off to get DSs birthday presents in a mo then have MrMads weird friends coming over this afternoon. Could definately do without that!! Hmm
Missing the regular South Africa pictures now they are all back home.
Have a good day all Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 04/05/2016 10:38

Ooh woof lovely. Might add him to my collection only less clothes if poss Grin

MaddieMoo82 · 04/05/2016 10:41

Yep this will do Grin

Our Girl and Captain James Addicts XXXV
Richtea19 · 04/05/2016 10:47

I vote him too for fireside wrestling!! A very watchable addition Wink

kuiakaituhi · 04/05/2016 11:18

Gotcha,Woof I was getting a bit worried about you there. Agreed, bloody lovely.
Had forgotten about him. Don't know how that came about. A bit worrying, really.

I always thought the Unsullied were such a waste of potential.

cjwoofwoof · 04/05/2016 12:03

Indeed kuia eunuchs do seem a little superfluous to requirements unless of course they're good at diy or decorating.

Ooh my word mads that's divine - I knew we could rely on you and your personal iCloud back catalogue. He can certainly keep that neckerchief ON Grin

pixieg1rl · 04/05/2016 12:04

I've been looking at that gif and wondering where he looked familiar from (it was a hardship). He was in Nashville (yes, it's rubbish but I loved it)

Bloody lovely day here, and looks like its set to continue for a while. So of course I will spend the tail end of this week inside working on elections and then most of Sunday indoors at lazer quest..... Still, I've just put on the 4th load of laundry.

pixieg1rl · 04/05/2016 12:18

Another one for you collection Mads
