Hear hear..I completely agree - and there does finally appear to be a consensus gathering in the world outside Mumsnet that their behaviour is both racist and bully-ish. It's unlikely that C4?Endemol wpuld ever admit it though in the same way they let other offensive behaviour slide in the past. Shall we start a new one where we just talk about Cleo's heaving bosom?

ach, i've really gone off cleo now, she should've stuck up for shilpa last night. am becoming marginally more fond of Ian though , but his tits aren't up to much.

Hmmmm, it's suitably opaque but i think what she means is 'whether he is from Britain, India or Pakistan, Jack is quite clearly the scum of the earth'. but she's too good at her job to say it.

thing is, i do think that Shilpa has been impressive in keeping her tongue in her head, but i'm not for a minute saying that she's telling the truth when she's being all tolerant and conciliatory. i'm sure she fkn HATES them. i certainly would if i was her.

and lord knows she does do a wide-eyed mouth-open thing that would irritate the living daylights out of me if i was in there. but i reckon that's her one actressy quirk, so it's easy to forgive when all around her are behaving either spinelessly or with outright malice.

poor Shilpa, she's had a rough time in there. at least the bookies are coming round to her, she's the second favourite now. i'd like her to win, actually, in fact i might vote for the very first time... don't want cleo to win any more, she's just a beautiful rat.

the stark cultural/ religous differences are exactly what the producers were hoping would cause conflict. its like getting haute couture designers to share a shop with cockney market traders who sell clothes. shilpa is far more adept a hiding her duplicity than the others she is playing the long game the rest are not bright enough. the are all as bad as each other in my opinion and probably living up to each others stereotypes.

she's just being herself (slightly bossy actress) and they're just being themselves (ignorant, easily-swayed to outright racism, stupid, untalented nonentities).
they are NOT as bad as each other... the agressors are worse than the victim, surely? unless you think shilpa has been agressively Indian?

I'm in the Shilpa camp & loving this thread.

Read in dh's "paper" today that Jade may agree to marry that boy when they are out but that it's got to be forever. How deluded is she? I think Jade has improved hugely since the original BB but unfortunately is still her mother's daughter. If she shacked up with someone slightly intelligent (or indeed anything that Jack isn't) she could prob end up ok enough.

I have enjoyed rekindling my love for Dirk (oh Starbuck..).
