two things.

One. Shilpa did not start a petition against racism. in fact i don't think the term has even been mentioned inside the house. the general public, however, are sending complaints in to ofcom in their thousands. those people who do not think she is the victim of racism should perhaps also write to Channel Four, i'm sure that they'd be delighted to hear from you right now.

Two. Who is that semi-famous person, LVT, go on, give us a hint pleeeeease...

Tinkerbelle, Shilpa hasnt started a petition, in fact she hasnt even reacted to any of this - thankfully for her she hasnt heard the more outwardly racist comments, but when people have been nasty to her she has risen above it.

If someone called you a 'effing ginger" or the equivalent to calling an Indian an effing paki, you probably would think they were being gingerist.

I've just gone back through this thread, as i was quite intrigued - I really cant see any bullying or anyone calling anyone racist! Is it me!!?

I have read this very long thread and the bullies on here seem to think it is their right to bully anyone who says they don't like shilpa. It is a tv show and she wanted to be paid lots of money and get famous just like the rest of them. I agree she is very 2faced.

who has bullied whom, handbags? or have people just disagreed? that's what MN is, you know, a forum for opinions. but you do need to back them up every now and again, rather than just throwing around accusations...

excuuse me i couldn't be bothered reading the full thread but i didn't say anyone was callingme racist, in fact i am NOT racist, but what i was saying wasn't racist

i am actually quite hurt and upset that people are picking on me (ooh that sounds familiar)
may be i didn't word it very well but what i was saying was (and this has nothing to do with what shilpa has or hasn;t said or done in any way shape or form) is that i can't understand why people can't disagree with some one of a different race without being branded a racist as far as i was concrened they were talking about chicken

just trying to say that they are being called racist because they don't like her (it might not have anything at all to do with her skin colour beliefs etc) but all of a sudden half the population of the house is being called racist. and some one did say on this thread that anyone who didn't agree with their view point that there is racism in the house was bullying them, i hope i am not being perceived like this but just wanted to word what i had said differently so it didn;t offend anyone as it was not meant like that

It has nothing to do with simply not liking her.They have asked her if she lives in a shack(WTF) Called her the indian commented on how they eat 'over there'continually mocked her accent and more.I am glad these uneducated foul mouthed imbeciles are finally being shown on tv for what they really are and hope it will stop this culture we have become of celebrating people who are talentless and thick and who are no role models for young people.Our kids aspire to this sh*t and this might throw a different light on it
