From watching shilpa there have been occaisions when I have been impressed with her ability to 'almost' hide her contempt for the jade et al. I did not think her sincere at the dinner with jades parents and her conversations with her male counterpart mr jackson have an underlying disdain for the goody crewe. I think she would have made a wonderful cleopatra. she tells them she loves them and wishes them no ill(clearly a lie) They would not be able to go on the bus from one bus stop to the next if she was in charge of arranging a collection fro them. On the other had jade et al have done themselves no favours, there is no appreciation that there are cultural / religious differences. they are the equivalalent of 'white' trailer trash as mr jackson implied (his halo slipping here). They are just plain ignorant, mannerless and self indulgent in my opinion ( jade and crew) unfortunately there is no excuse for ignorance.

I just found that petition too,was just trying to work this darned link thing. Apparently C4 moderators are deleting threads from their own forum referring to Jack's comments, they seem to be intent on brushing it under the carpet. It's disgusting. I saw Dermot smoothing over Dave Gorman's "Jakeieey is a borderline racist" comment today (they repeat BBLB in the mornings on C4). And can you imagine Davina (oo Grace i love your cowboy boots! Soz forgot to take you to task on your outrageous behaviour) taking anyone to task over it?

And in my own protest, I, erm, am going to watch the show in a while. Feel free to mock my hypocracy. Dh is

think jade shoud dump jack. i think she is clever enough to learn and broaden her horizions but not is shes slowed down by her partners dragging his knuckles on the floor.

but magicfarawaytree, i think it's fair enough for her to feel disdainful towards that crew, isn't it? they are turds in human form. and jermaine doesn't need to be a hero either. why do some people have to be perfect and others are forgiven their badness cos they're ignorant? (thinking particularly of jackiey here...)

... anyway am about to settle down in all my hypocrisy and watch. ah, good to see you here in all your hypocrisy, dotcotton.

i tend to cook chickens for an hour and a half, by the way. Thass staindard.

If they cooked a chicken for 2hrs and 50 minutes it would have to be at least 8lbs or else it would be burnt to a cinder.

20 minutes a pound and twenty minutes over is the correct timing and as most chickens are around 4lbs it usually takes 1 hour and 40 minutes.
I feel sorry for the poor girl.

agree ATO shilpa has a lot to put up with. jermaine is a clever kniver but will go when he is up I bet -no one is really fooled. I just thing they are all as bad as each other. to be fair the minute the goods got tepid welcome when they entered the house,it would have take a miracle for the 6 of them to have found some common ground. icy meets defensive, let the games begin.

i think someone pointed out further down that it was shilpa who said 'forgive us, we're not usually this grumpy, our friends have just left' about the chilly reception. so surely any ire should then have been directed at ken and jermaine?
