Other one massive!

What was that about Jackie's parents coming into the house?? What were they like?

Shilpa, awful, horrible stuck up woman. Must go. Leo, slimy, up himself, childish. Must go.

Didn't watch last night. Fill me in!

OP posts:

And Shilpa apologised to Jade and co just after they had all arrived and said words to the effect of "please don't think we are usually this grumpy, we've just lost all of our friends". I remember remarking to DH that it was nice of her to say that and she was being honest.

In the other version of BB does this count as some form of hostilty which deserved a comeback from the goodys?

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:11

Sorry why is it shocking the point I was making was that afaik no one on here had heard of her before CBB

And so if they were going to plant somepone in like last year it could be someone with excellent language skills like those who are the graduates on the callcentres that BT use

I didn't mean to offend sorry

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:15

I am not defending the behaviour of the other housemates towards her - calling her a dog like sexwannabe did

shilpa was evesdropping outside the toilet when sexwannabe and jo were in there and she knocked and then took sexwannabe back in again to confront her about what she had just said and sexwannabe didn't own up to calling shilpa a dog

that is how the fight started on friday night

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:17

dot yes sorry I remember that but I was meaning the 1st impressions that Jade had was of a very unfreindly cold reception

JoolsToo · 14/01/2007 23:17

oh come on everyone flowers themselves up a bit - even Carole said she was 47 - pmsl!

Shilpa is probably used to getting her own way but I have never seen her 'lord it' over anyone. I have never heard her curse - well she said the eff word once and I was shocked but generally she is respectful of herself and others. You cannot deny that she has been targetted and isolated by the girls.

ANyway they all seem to be getting along swimmingly at the moment and Dirk has been quite lively for a couple of days and he's funny.

will it last?

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:21

I wasn't meaning swearing

I hope they give them all a horrible task like eating fish guts or stuff like that

Although I liked the singing task I think they have been too nice to them

I want them to suffer for all the ££££££££££££ they are being paid

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:23

Actually putting lauren in will make them suffer enough

But I guess if they are horrible they are prob worried they will walk out

IMHO they should not be paid if they walk

otherwise ifyou will be paid why bother staying inside the house

dotcotton · 14/01/2007 23:24

As i've said before further down, the level of hatred directed at Shilpa and the justfication that she is sly, manipulative, etc etc is just like what happened to Aisleyne in the summer. She might have been a bit rough but she was fundamentally a much nicer person than the other girls, who seemed to get away with appaling behaviour.

Why does everyone applaud Jade and even Jackcieeey for being honest and "speaking their mind", and call it confrontational and manipulative when Shilpa does it?

AitchTwoOh · 14/01/2007 23:24

actually, i was referring to the fact that fuzzywuzzy, whose name at least somewhat wryly suggests that she may have an ethnic background or connections (were fuzzywuzzy soldiers papua new guinean or somesuch? can't remember) said further down the thread that it's like julia roberts entering the house and that she didn't know why a star like her would have agreed to go on.
it sounds like fuzzy at least would be able to confirm that she isn't a random call centre worker. not to mention the fact that last time the viewers were in on the deception.

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:25

I was in Australia for the summer so missed most of BB

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:29

I am only going by what an indian actress said on BBLB last week

That she had exagerated her status rather

I can't name a KAtie Holmes film but can do loads of Julia roberts ones imho there is a huge differce isn't there?

Can you name a katie holmes film?

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:30

I am not being serious about call centre reference btw

AitchTwoOh · 14/01/2007 23:30

batman begins
pieces of april
phone booth

dotcotton · 14/01/2007 23:30

I'm off to bed but if you want to check out Shilpa's authenticity look at her Wikipedia entry, i just did... sorry i'm new and cant work out links just yet. It does prove that she is a fairly big star but ooer she's had a bit of a past! Still on her side in the debate though.

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:31

sorry never heard of any of them

dotcotton · 14/01/2007 23:31

Doh i'm always a bit behind,.. going to bed but have to say "DAWSON'S CREEK".

JoolsToo · 14/01/2007 23:31

well she seems to have done an awful lot of films

AitchTwoOh · 14/01/2007 23:34

batman begins was the recent one with christian bale, quite good. pieces of april had patricia someone as her mum who was dying of cancer. it was pretty good too although i usually avoid dying movies. and phone booth had that colin friel in it, picked up the phone and ws told her was about to be killed. all quite big. patricia thingummy was nominated for an oscar. i swear that i know this stuff and didn't look it up.

turquoise · 14/01/2007 23:35

I don't really see how the fame thing is particularly relevant either way, it's about the way they're conducting themselves, and Shilpa is conducting herself with grace and dignity IMO. How can she 'manipulate' someone into being a mroronic racist bitch? Good trick if she can!

RTKangaMummy · 14/01/2007 23:36

look at this blimey

JoolsToo · 14/01/2007 23:36

lol turquoise - very true!

JoolsToo · 14/01/2007 23:37

ah ds2 was born 8 June 1976 - he's looking for a girlfriend

AitchTwoOh · 14/01/2007 23:37

also i would say 'er, who cares about whether she exaggerated?' (and i hope fuzzy comes back to clarify for us, rahte rthan taking the word of some possible jealous fellow actor).

she is being bullied by half-wit borderline and not-so-borderline racist nonentities and she is somehow managing not to crack up and keep a (sometimes admittedly rather fixed) smile on her face. that would seem to me to be the issue.

JoolsToo · 14/01/2007 23:39

I'm assuming Shamita Shetty is her sister

they are beautiful aren't they?

dotcotton · 14/01/2007 23:41

Still here.. yes the debate isnt about her level of fame and i agree, if i was her i'd have walked out by now. Or at least shouted "F**k off", raised a thumb to them and stormed off
