I'm watching the "good Shilpa" version too, mabye they are showing different versions in different UK regions?! Jade is getting worse, every time i think i like her the Jackeieey in her comes out..

Btw i must recommend anyone who has E4 to watch Russell Brand on BB's Big Mouth, its now far and above more entertaining than the actual show. Unless you hate Russell Brand.

On my TV Shilpa is great. young and traditional and great. I think she is gob-smacked at some of the behaviour tbh.

tried again to watch this tonight and can't even get hooked - this is definitely the worst ever imo. I need a reason to watch and there just doesn't seem to be one here!

H20 - would love to ref but don't know that debate - too out of loop to take part but can't get myself hooked - this is a first for me with BB or CBB.
But I kind of like Shilpa - I think she's clever casting - it's just the rest are so droney - danielle, the steps on and that blond dullard - yawn. But Shilpa and her terrible Slippers of Doom - now there's a girl I could watch if there was someone cute/repellant in there like Gordon Ramsey (see Other 'Gordon Ramsey is seducing me in my dreams' thread very excellent thread.)

i'm impressed that Dave Gorman said that, tbh. i believe he's right, of course. although i personally don't think it's much more than stating the obvious, it doesn't sound like any other celebs have said it.

BUT I didn't like Shilpa before they came in

I do think that Shilpa, Ken and Jermaine were rather rude and unfriendly when they came in - even before Jade opened her mouth - so the excuse of her voice or accent doesn't count and I think she looked very precentable

Ok I realise they didn't want their "friends" to leave and the reason that they didn't know who they were is rubbish cos no one knew who anyone was a few days earlier

No one knew who Ken was and some people didn't even know who Jermaine was at the begininng

So why was Shilpa not behaving like a LADY on that day?

don't forget Kanga that when the Goodys came in Ken, Jermaine and Shilpa were somewhat shellshocked. They didn't have the remotest idea who they were and why should they?

Those 3 barely new each other, people that they kind of were getting along with were gone - those 3 hadn't really been gelling. As it happened it kinda worked out well for Jermaine and Shilpa and I think they'll have a lasting, true friendship out of this.

I am NOT DEFENDING Jo or sexwannabe AT ALL

I think they are horrible

BUT I think that SHilpa is horrible for different reasons

Shilpa could easily be Chantelle of this year

Cos no one had heard of her or knew anything about her or her life

ie she could have been lying and no one would know or be any the wiser

She may infact be someone on the BT call centre

i agree, they weren't particularly friendly when Jade came in.
The funny thing about that was that of all the people who could have been left in the big house, the three that were there were the only ones who just didn't have a clue who Jade was.
and i think that did make everyone uncomfortable, including Jade, who for the first time in five years found herself explaining who she was to a Jackson, a film star and film director. it was funny, i thought and quite a comment on the state of our artistic/celebrity culture.
but it didn't make me hate anyone, i just thought... 'ooh that jackson, that bollywood actor and that old git aren't being particularly friendly...' i waited to see what would happen next before forming a conclusion.
then i watched as jackiey was racist towards Shilpa, and then the rest of them piled in and no-one stuck up for her, and i was impressed.
imagine my surprise when i came on here and found her being vilified... so i asked why, and to my mind no-one has yet come up with a good reason for the strength of feeling that has been expressed here.
