What was that about Jackie's parents coming into the house?? What were they like?

fuzzy I understood they all got paid 'a fee' regardless of how long they were in there. I mean if you're coming from the States, or Australia or India its got to be worth it I suppose.

Much as i respect the sh*t that dirk has been through in his life (his brother killed his dad / prostrate cancer), i think he may have an issue with drink, so perhaps he's not the most appropriate person to diss this nation's drinking habits.

Yes aitch, i renamed myself during a rubbish xmas but gonna change it soon.

But Jt, I was really surprised that it was mentioned that she got paid for a specific number of days, does this mean she wont be voted out until the twenty three days are up....

So Liesel what is Shilpa doing.. (I don't have a TV, just watched the begining at my mothers house over the christmas break).

I do pay a great deal (far too much) attention to this show, in the summer i was an avid supporter of Aisleyne who was, as pointed out earlier on, completely set up as the villain when in fact she was being ostracised by the other girls (seemingly for being what, too pretty? too confident? too working class? A "wigga" !! - again not v subtle racism). Like Shilpa she defended herself calmly in the face of unreasonable and really personal attacks from Nikki and Grace and then was called a bitch and a manipulator. What's a girl supposed to do?!

I missed the big argument between Shilpa and Danielle, can someone fill me in? Saw the bit when they were calling her Wolf and talking about her bleaching her face.

What confused me was that Jo was being as spiteful and racist as Danielle and Jade, but then later appeared to be saying that Danielle was out of order (well DuH!) - what'd I miss? Or is Jo just trying to cover her back?

Can't believe I watched this instead of the Shipping News and STILL missed the big fight.

Shilpa might not be popular but Danielle, Jack and Jade are viscious with their comments. Don't think it will go down well with the public. They're so nasty.

Agree about Jo. She was certainly joining in with the bitchy rant.

Jade's true colours are showing through. Really not nice and not that bright. She's still so clearly damaged but vulnerable does not equal nice.

I said Shilpa was being underhand at 2pm today so it was before tonights episode, I may change my mind after seeing tonights episode, but I doubt it.

Hmm i agree Jade's not looking great after tonight but Jack and Danielle are the worst culprits, i cannot believe D called her a dog! I still think Shilpa is showing great grace under fire from the collective morons...

Danielle and Jades behaviour is appaling. Shilpa seems to start conflict and then walk away as if she had nothing to do with it and this face-pulling that she does I cant abide.

i do see the face-pulling, but to be honest i think at least part of that is her trying to attract the attention of her so-called pals dirk, jermaine, Ian etc who have been really un-gallant and never just stepped in and stuck up for her. i think that's not the sort of behaviour she'd be used to from men who adore her in india. i don't think she's perfect, as i have said, but i think she's been positively heroic in the face of the Goody clan. and as for danielle, jack and jo, they've not covered themselves in glory today.

i think i'd be terrible in that house, tbh, i wouldn't be able to stop myself getting in about the scraps.

But all she's usually trying to do is sort something out with someone, thats where the whole Jackie problem started, because she took her aside to ask her not to be rude to the "servants'. I do think Shilpa has never been spoken to like this in her life before and believes that people will apologise to her if she takes them aside, but it's ultimately the others that are in the wrong to start with. Imagine being her, a respected and possibly spoilt film star, with servants, entourage and all, coming over here and having pissed up harpies who are 10 rungs down the fame ladder, shouting in your face..

i don't think she's got that attitude in the house, that's the thing. bottom line is, i think they are being nastier because she is indian and she doesn't appear to have anything in common with them or actually want to be like them.
that's hard for them to bear, because they really think they've achieved something in their lives by being in S club, being the 25th most inferlential person, shagging teddy sheringham etc.

Liesel i will stand when i see your name on a thread from now on . I agree Aitch, and i'm not saying Shilpa deserves or expects to be treated like a star, just that it must be quite extraordinary for her to come from that sort of treatment to this.. ranging from rudeness to downright hostility and racism, it was both personal and prejudiced tonight, maybe when you see it you'll revise.. all this with the greatest of respect LV..
