Corrie thread - How many more implausible plots until the new person takes over? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/04/2016 20:03

Have started a new thread as the old one was nearly full and people wanted a "No spoilers" message in the title.

Are we placing too much hope in the new producer? How the hell are they going to get out of the plot holes?

I read the other day that the Les Battersby actor was seen at the studios. I am hoping that was a bad-taste April Fool's joke.

Just wondering where all the Platts can be sleeping now that Gail's bedroom has been demolished. Bethany came downstairs with her school books, so it looks as if she's there, and Sarah seems to be a permanent fixture. So that's Gail, David, Kylie, Max, Lily, Sarah, Harry and Bethany; 8 of them!

ProfYaffle · 18/06/2016 09:51

I managed to miss Izzy's trial Confused I've got Corrie on series record and that episode was mysteriously missing. Maybe the YouView box was trying to do me a favour.

Rachel0Greep · 18/06/2016 10:04

Corrie tomorrow night at 7.30 for an hour.

mollie123 · 18/06/2016 17:45

I have a sneaking feeling (hope) that when the current corrie thread reaches 1000 posts - boom - we have everything solved (maybe an explosion to get rid of the dead wood) and suddenly it all improves (or not Shock)

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/06/2016 18:39

We have been hoping for that every thread for about 2 years mollie!

I finally caught up today with the help of a lot of fast forwarding.

Sarah is annoying me now. She needs to get a grip. How can Billy suddenly fancy Todd? Where did that come from? And Todd and Billy were so suspicious at the funeral I can't understand why the police didn't arrest them there and then.

OP posts:
Akire · 18/06/2016 18:57

I watched the two episodes I thought I had missed saw billy and Todd take his brother hospital apart from the hug then where was the fancy bit??

southeastdweller · 18/06/2016 19:07

Billy told Todd he had feelings for him in the Sunday night episode.

leopardspice · 19/06/2016 20:54

Who is the young girl with kylie platt tonight... If it's supposed to be their baby she suddenly became a young girl about 3/4 tonight did anyone notice this?

Akire · 19/06/2016 20:56

Does seàn not know about bully brother? Half the street does now including dev!

How annoying was Sophie "Roy?????" Wow Roy standing outside his very own shop well that's que for a suprise tone of voice!

Did I miss who's paying for re build of annex? Did ty get done for dangerous driving?

theliverpoolone · 19/06/2016 21:31

Well, came into tonight's about 15 mins late, so no idea what was going on with Sarah, but all this "Callum's still alive" stuff is beyond ridiculous!

And I've lost track of the Sean/Billy/Todd triangle - thought Billy and Sean had split, but it didn't seem that way at the end tonight Confused. And what was the 'look' Todd gave them when they hugged at the end all about? I thought he'd been clear he didn't fancy Billy ConfusedConfused

Yes, Lily appears to have miraculously grown waist-length hair and aged considerably since last seen ( which to be fair, was a very long time ago!).

I see Sally's promise to stop pretending Tim's something he isn't didn't last long....Hmm

DarkDarkNight · 19/06/2016 22:22

When did Luke overhear Caz on the phone? I have no recollection of it at all.

Akire · 19/06/2016 22:28

The whole army injury is odd. Not as strange as them suddenly being pally with Maria. She works full time yet no probable getting a babysitter at drop of hat. mind you she dosnt seem to have any friends like Sophie.

theliverpoolone · 19/06/2016 22:36

Dark, Luke was working at the garage (on a Sunday Hmm) and managed to hear Caz over the road on her phone.

Kevin's another one who never seems to have babysitting problems - he was round at Tim's with no mention of Jack.

EachandEveryone · 19/06/2016 23:12

When did Lily turn into Harper Beckham?

millimat · 20/06/2016 13:21

I used to love sally and Tim, but now sally is just irritating Envy

Rachel0Greep · 20/06/2016 13:38

Same here, I think Sally and Tim make a great couple, but the nonsense of Sally and the council is just too overdone. And as for the 'feud' between her and Yasmeen, it's complete dullsville.

Housewife2010 · 20/06/2016 13:41

I can't stand Yasmin. She's so nasty. It never made sense that they moved onto the street. They were supposed to be comfortably off and successful. It never made sense when Dev and Sunita moved from their lovely big house back to the street because she suddenly missed her friends.

eddiemairswife · 20/06/2016 22:20

You'd think that if they have decided to recast Lily they would have chosen a child similar to the original.

Eastie77 · 21/06/2016 08:51

Jack was with the Invisible Childminder, obviously. The one who works Sundays and in the evenings too when Kevin is at the Rovers/Bistro/Cafe with Anna.

Where is the whole Caz being nice to Maria storyline going. Since both Kate and Luke commented on how weird it was of her to buy Liam that book there is clearly something brewing. It's ridiculous that even dim witted Kate cannot see through her story - a fit and healthy army officer still hobbling around on crutches in excruciating pain several months after just tweaking her ankle.

southeastdweller · 22/06/2016 08:52

So now Todd has feelings for Billy, which have come out of nowhere Confused

Words fail me regarding the school reunion scenes.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 23/06/2016 17:59

When I went on the Corrie tour, next to the surgery was a chippy one side and on the other a nursery. It looked very small though, so I don't know how they fit in all the kids for 24 hour childcare. And you never see kids getting dropped off and picked up fro there.

Simon's football trip and Leanne being skint. Wouldn't the logical response be, "I don't have the money for it, but let me phone your dad and see if he can fork out for it"
Perfect cue for a scene with Peter.
I fail to see why Leanne should have to pay on her own!

Where is Tracey? Flower arranging course?

pussinasda · 24/06/2016 18:19

yeah i thought the same ladytron surely leanne would of phoned peter for a contribution.
is emily due back, they havent really mentioned norris living on his own until last night, he looked lonely eating his boiled egg.

Britnyspears · 25/06/2016 14:45

Sorry if someone has already said this but FOUR yes FOUR people working in a tiny cafe?!? They must be selling something illegal under the counter to afford the wages. And still there was a queue!!!

Olddear · 25/06/2016 16:33

If you can't get a job in the cafe, there's always underworld.
